THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Head of Environment to build the physical expression of Baseten as we grow from roughly 300 employees today to more than 2,000 over the next couple of years.
You’ll own the environments, spaces, and experiences that define what it feels like to work at Baseten. This is equal parts operations, hospitality, design, and strategy. You’ll partner closely with our founders and leadership team to create an environment that scales with the company while remaining unmistakably Baseten.
You’ll inherit a strong Workplace Experience team and continue to evolve the function into one of the defining strengths of the company. We’re looking for someone who has built and scaled world-class workplace functions before; someone who has seen what’s ahead and can help us get there faster.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own Baseten’s global workplace and real estate strategy, developing the long-term roadmap for how our physical footprint evolves as we scale from hundreds to thousands of employees. Lead real estate planning, site selection, expansions, and significant capital investments across our headquarters, growing network of smaller offices, and future international locations.
- Build and operate exceptional workplaces. Own end-to-end workplace operations, office buildouts, relocations, and launches, ensuring every office runs smoothly with an uncompromising bar for quality, hospitality, and attention to detail.
- Define the physical expression of Baseten. Shape the look, feel, and personality of our spaces, creating environments and experiences that are distinctly Baseten—from interior design and amenities to office traditions and the way we welcome employees, customers, candidates, investors, and guests.
- Lead and develop our Workplace Experience team, building a high-performing organization that scales alongside the company while continually raising the bar for execution and ownership
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience leading Workplace, Environment, Employee Experience, or a similar function at a hypergrowth technology company, helping scale from hundreds to thousands of employees across multiple U.S. and international offices. You’ve done this before. You know what breaks during periods of explosive growth and you’ve built the teams, systems, and operating model to stay ahead of it.
- The ability to build trust quickly with founders and senior leaders. You’ll develop a deep intuition for what feels authentically Baseten and apply that judgment independently as we scale.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with experience making high-quality decisions involving significant real estate investments, competing priorities, and rapid growth
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Exceptional taste and an uncompromising quality bar. You notice the details others miss and care deeply about creating environments that feel intentional, memorable, and distinctly Baseten.
- A hospitality mindset. You believe the environments people work in matter, and you obsess over creating exceptional experiences for employees, customers, candidates, investors, and guests.
- A builder who enjoys creating systems and experiences that scale
- Based in San Francisco and excited to spend the majority of your time in our office, with regular travel to our other locations
LOCATION
In-person in San Francisco 3+ days/week
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity.
- 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

Base Labs Fellowship
baseten · San Francisco, California, United States
ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products.
ABOUT BASE LABS
Base Labs is a research lab pushing the frontier of open-source LLMs. We think intelligence should be democratized, not controlled by a handful of closed labs and we think very few teams are actually positioned to do something about that.
Backed by Baseten's training and inference infrastructure, we have the compute, resources, and talent to take on hard problems at the frontier and open-source what we learn along the way.
Our mission is to help build a world where intelligence isn't concentrated, but spread across an ecosystem of models that anyone can build on. That mission shapes what we choose to work on, how we work on it, and who we want in the room.
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis for our first cohort of Base Labs Fellows, which is expected to start in late September. Apply using this link.
BASE LABS FELLOWSHIP OVERVIEW
The Base Labs Fellowship is designed to give researchers exposure to what frontier research looks like in industry. We provide funding, mentorship, and full support to our fellows, with the goal of producing rigorous, published research that shapes both the open-source ecosystem and Baseten's technical roadmap.
We run multiple cohorts of Fellows each year and review applications on a rolling basis. This application is for cohorts starting in Sept 2026 and beyond.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- 3 months of full-time research from our San Francisco office
- A dedicated 1:1 mentorship from a senior researcher
- $15,000 Stipend (per 3-months)
- Funding for compute and other research expenses
- Opportunities to publish and present at top venues, including ICML, NeurIPS, and Grace Hopper
- A clear path to a full-time offer for the strongest performers
YOUR MENTORS
Each fellow is matched 1:1 with one of three senior researchers.
Potential mentors include:
- Michael Psenka
- Max Kirkby
- Charles O’Neill
Note: You're welcome to research mentors' prior work, but all applications must go through the official process below, not the mentors directly.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A quick note on our view on talent.
Many of the labs that exist today run a credentialist talent model. Concentrate the most already-legible researchers, and assume the concentration compounds. The best researchers in this field are very often not yet legible. Research engineers who have spent years inside a production stack and developed insights no PhD program teaches; PhDs working on the wrong-shaped problem at the right-shaped lab; operators who have been close to real systems long enough to see things traditional researchers have never had to see. If you don’t have the usual qualifications and are doing exceptional work, we’d love to chat.
For the sake of providing some directional criteria for potential fits for this fellowship:
- Are enrolled in or have recently completed a PhD in ML, AI, statistics, or a closely related field
- Have a publication record or research portfolio that demonstrates original, rigorous thinking
- Care about what your work is in service of - not just the problem, but why it matters
- Want to operate with autonomy and don't need a defined roadmap to do your best work
- Are excited to be in San Francisco for the duration of the program, fully embedded in the team
- Are drawn to the idea of building a research culture, not just participating in one
WHY BASE LABS?
- 1:1 by design. Three fellows, three mentors. You will not get lost.
- Real stakes. Your research feeds directly into decisions about what Baseten builds and what workloads it pursues. The line from your work to the product is short.
- A founding moment. We are building Base Labs from scratch. The first cohort shapes what it becomes the culture, the research agenda, the brand.
- Full support. Housing, meals, travel, and compute are all handled. We remove every barrier between you and the work.
- A clear path forward. Top performers are considered for a full-time role.
NOTE: The benefits listed below are only applicable to full-time hires.

Revenue Strategy & Operations
baseten · San Francisco, California, United States
ABOUT THE ROLE
Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI — and we're now building the team that will scale how we take it to market. This is a foundational hire on our GTM Strategy & Revenue Operations team, sitting at the intersection of strategic planning and field execution.
You'll work directly with the CRO, Head of Revenue Operations and partner closely with Finance, field leadership, and our Central Ops team. On any given week, you might be refining our pipeline generation model, building a territory coverage analysis, designing a new GTM motion, or partnering with a regional leader to understand what's driving a trend in their pipeline. This role requires someone who can think rigorously, build things from scratch, and operate with speed and judgment in an environment where the playbook is still being written.
This is a rare opportunity to be an early GTM strategy and operations hire at one of the fastest-growing companies in AI infrastructure — and to help define how we scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
GTM Planning, Target Setting & Market Intelligence
- Contribute to the annual and quarterly GTM planning process in partnership with Finance, including headcount modeling, ramp assumptions, and revenue target-setting
- Build and maintain coverage models aligned to 2-year growth projections, incorporating territory design, account segmentation, and capacity planning
- Support quota framework development, helping translate top-down targets into field-level plans that are credible and motivating
- Develop and maintain Baseten's segmentation logic — how we carve the market by industry, company profile, consumption potential, and AI maturity
- Contribute a point of view on competitive dynamics, regional expansion priorities, and whitespace opportunities
- Partner with Central Ops on ICP and TAM database strategy to ensure segmentation is grounded in clean, enriched data
- Translate data into a clear business narrative for leadership and the field; democratize insights so the revenue org can self-serve
Pipeline Generation & Forecast
- Contribute to the design of the pipeline generation model — coverage ratios, qualified pipeline definitions, and input assumptions
- Support the PG cadence: track actuals vs. model, surface gaps early, and partner with field leadership to course-correct
- Play an active role in the weekly forecast process, helping build the business narrative that connects leading indicators to revenue outcomes
- Build and maintain the analytics layer that powers GTM decision-making — from pipeline dashboards to cohort analyses to efficiency metrics
Field Execution & Plan Refinement
- Partner with the field to identify gaps in the business and develop structured plans to address them - supporting real time actions as well as insights to guide QBRs, pipeline reviews, etc.
- Analyze regional pipeline health, win/loss trends, and rep productivity to proactively surface insights that feed back into refining the GTM plan
- Contribute to execution optimization projects — improving the sales process, post-sale journey, and conversion at key funnel stages
- Close the loop between what's happening in the field and what needs to change in the plan
New Motions & Experimentation
- Support the design and execution of structured experiments to test new GTM approaches — new segments, new channels, new acquisition or expansion motions
- Help build the measurement framework to evaluate what's working and create a clear path to scaling what wins
- Partner with RevOps and Central Ops to operationalize successful experiments into repeatable playbooks
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience
- 4–6 years in GTM strategy, revenue operations, sales strategy, or a related function — ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS or infrastructure company
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based business models strongly preferred; you understand the difference between ARR and revenue, and how to think about drawdown, expansion, and net retention
- Background at a company that has scaled through a Series B–D inflection point; you've seen what good looks like and know what breaks as you grow
- Background in consulting and/or banking / finance a plus
Skills
- Exceptional analytical chops — you can build a coverage model, a cohort analysis, and a board-ready forecast narrative, and you know which one the moment calls for
- Strong business judgment — you don't just surface data, you tell people what it means and what to do about it
- Structured thinker and clear communicator — you can take a complex GTM problem, break it down, and present a crisp recommendation to a senior audience
- Hands-on builder — comfortable working in AI coding tools, spreadsheets, BI tools, SQL, and CRM systems; you don't wait for someone else to pull the data
- Collaborative operating style — you work across functions (Finance, field leadership, Central Ops, Enablement) and know how to get things done without formal authority
- AI Fluency- You actively use AI tools to drive your own productivity — in how you analyze data, structure problems, draft communications, and accelerate your work
Mindset
- Comfortable with ambiguity; you can define the problem before solving it
- Bias toward action — you'd rather ship something good and iterate than wait for perfect
- Curious about the AI infrastructure market; you want to understand what we sell, who buys it, and why
WHY BASETEN:
- Be a foundational member of the GTM team at one of the most important companies in the AI infrastructure space
- Work on problems that are genuinely hard and genuinely new — consumption-based GTM at AI scale doesn't have an existing playbook
- High ownership, high visibility, direct access to leadership
- Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Product Manager, Developer Experience
baseten · San Francisco, California, United States
PRODUCT AT BASETEN
Product at Baseten is a nascent function. Our company today has a strong engineering culture, is heavily customer-obsessed, and moves fast. We're building the product function now, and you'd be one of the first people who will help define it. You'll work directly with our founders and with some of the best systems and infrastructure engineers in the world, and you'll set the standard for building great AI Infrastructure. PMs at Baseten don't sit above engineers - you earn ownership by being technical, finding the truth in front of customers, building great cross-functional relationships, and shipping great product experiences.
THE ROLE
Getting a model into production still takes real expertise — choosing a serving engine, sizing hardware, tuning it, wiring it into an app. We want a developer to go from "it runs on my laptop" to "it's serving production traffic" in minutes, on their own. You'll own the entire experience a developer touches to deploy and iterate: the CLI and SDKs, the console, onboarding, model discovery, deployment configuration, truss, and the increasingly agent-driven ways developers build. Your job is to make Baseten synonymous with Great DevEx and make it effortless to drive and self-serve deploy models on Baseten for far more developers than it is today.
IMPACT AND OUTCOMES YOU'LL DRIVE
- You will collapse time-to-production — take a developer from first sign-up to a running, maintained production deployment, and drive down the time it takes to get there.
- You will make the CLI and SDKs the primary way developers and their AI agents build on Baseten — and the authoring surfaces (CLI, console, truss, config.yml / model.py http://model.py / chains.py http://chains.py) converged into one coherent path.
- You will make a developer's first run effortless — onboarding, model discovery and deploy via the Model Library, and a first deploy where errors surface and builds show progress.
- You will own the deployment lifecycle that lets teams ship safely — environment promotion (dev → staging → prod), version history and an artifact/model registry, reproducible deployments, and the progressive-delivery controls developers set and read: canary, shadow, A/B, scheduled promotion, and one-gesture rollback.
- You will define how developers compose multi-model apps — Chains and the DevEx for developers building multi-modal agents and applications.
- You will grow self-serve deployment across FDEs and customers — you live in customer conversations and turn deploy-and-operate friction into roadmap, so work that needs an FDE today becomes something a developer does alone.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You’ve built dev tools as an engineer before you became a PM. You've shipped SDKs, CLIs, APIs, or platform surfaces with your own hands.
- You take great pride in dev tooling and dev products that you’ve shipped with proof
- 5+ years building developer-facing or technical products - as a product manager, or as a product-minded engineer.
- Genuine taste for developer experience across both local (CLI) and UI - you've made something complex feel simple, and can point to where.
- Strong opinions on CLI, API first and agent-first design - you treat the coding agent as a first-class user, not a feature.
- Technical enough to earn engineers' trust and reason about what's under the hood — because you've been under it.
- A rigorous researcher who lets customer reality drive the call and a relentless shipper.
Bonus: experience with ML infrastructure, developer tools, or API products, you've deployed and served models yourself.
NOT FOR YOU IF
- You don't like getting technical.
- You prefer only strategy, UX, or writing great docs over doing whatever it takes to ship great products for customers.
- You want a mature design system and established patterns to work within, rather than defining them from scratch.
- You’re not obsessed with improving your Product craft with AI

ABOUT FINCH
We believe every American household deserves access to counsel in life’s biggest moments. At Finch, we’re building the infrastructure to make justice radically more accessible. Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury.
In just over a year, we've grown 10x, raised a $20M Series A, and become the pre-litigation partner of choice for top personal injury firms across the country. We believe the best outcomes happen when expert operators and purpose-built AI work together – which is why we handle every step of pre-lit, from intake and claim opening to medical records, lien management, and demands, with humans leading every case.
We’re backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like DoorDash, Ironclad, and Digits. We’re rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we’re hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.
THIS ROLE
- Finch is building the operational engine that powers the best law firms in the country—and Strategy & Operations sits at the center of that mission. As part of this team, you'll work across multiple facets of our business to design the systems, workflows, and experiences that help firms run more efficiently, deliver better client outcomes, and scale with predictability.
- This is a versatile role for someone who thrives at the intersection of process design, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional execution. You’ll dive deep into how work moves today, identify friction points, and craft high-leverage solutions that elevate the experience for firms, legal ops teams, and clients. Depending on your strengths and interests, your work may span case workflows, firm interfaces, legal ops experience, or broader operational scaling efforts.
- You’ll blend analytical rigor with practical empathy—thinking holistically about the needs of attorneys, clients, and internal teams—while building systems that allow Finch to deliver fast, clear, high-quality outcomes as we grow.
YOU WILL:
- Analyze existing workflows and operational patterns to identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across multiple parts of the business.
- Design scalable processes, playbooks, and standards that create clarity, improve consistency, and support predictable case outcomes.
- Define interfaces and communication models that make collaboration seamless—whether with firms assigning work, clients awaiting updates, or internal teams executing tasks.
- Partner with product and engineering to translate operational needs into tools, automations, and app experiences that support high-quality execution.
- Develop metrics and visibility mechanisms that help teams understand performance, uncover operational risks, and measure progress.
- Collaborate across Case Workflow, Law Firm Experience, and Legal Ops Experience depending on company priorities and your strengths.
- Test, iterate, and refine operational systems as volumes grow, firm needs evolve, and new product capabilities come online.
- Contribute to Finch’s evolving operating model, helping us scale efficiently without sacrificing the human-touch experience firms and clients depend on.
YOUR TEAM: STRATEGY & OPERATIONS
S&O at Finch is the tip of the spear: we identify the most important problems and opportunities for growth, and solve them fast. We own playbooks, workflows, and experiments that move the business forward. You’ll work cross-functionally with Legal Ops, Product & Engineering, and Growth to deliver 10x improvements for our attorney partners, their clients, and our internal teams. We value velocity, grit, ownership, and — above all — optimism.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU:
- Have 3-5+ years in a problem-solving role (e.g., consulting, BizOps, Strategy, Tech)
- Have experience building zero-to-one systems or teams
- Love navigating ambiguity and operating with urgency
- Can zoom out to define strategy and dive deep to execute
- Care deeply about client experience and operational excellence
AT FINCH LEGAL, WE BELIEVE IN PRACTICING WHAT WE ADVOCATE.

We recognize that diversity strengthens our team, enriches our perspectives, and empowers us to better serve our clients and communities. At Finch Legal, inclusion isn’t just a value — it’s a practice.
