By building collaboratively and with intention, we create a compounding effect that moves the entire company forward towards our mission: reaching AGI through intelligence systems built for software development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Interfaces team builds the product surfaces for Poolside’s Model Factory: our industrial approach to the process of training models. Your role is to turn parts of model training – experiments, trajectories, evals, data inspection – into a product that can be easily seen and interacted with.
You'll join as a full-stack product engineer and own surfaces end-to-end, from backend and APIs to the web UI, for the researchers and engineers who build our models. You'll figure out what they actually need, ship fast, and iterate on quickly on feedback, balancing scalability and flexibility. Much of this work is greenfield: whole areas are still untouched or require complete revamps. Since researcher velocity and ability to make decisions with limited time and resources are critical to our success, your work will directly accelerate Poolside's ability to develop models.
YOUR MISSION
To deliver the product surfaces and platform that make poolside's model-building process visible, usable, and fast for the teams who build our models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own product surfaces end-to-end, from backend services and APIs to the web UI, across the Model Factory platform
Turn the opaque parts of model training (experiments, trajectories, evals, data inspection) into interfaces people trust and use every day
Deeply understand the needs of applied researchers; align closely on their use-cases, find the bottlenecks, and ship new platforms + features to improve their workflows
Build the platform other internal teams contribute their own UI into (a.k.a. our internal design system)
Quickly iterate on feedback, prioritizing adoption and usability
Uphold quality across the stack: performance, reliability, and high-utility interfaces
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong full-stack product engineering: you build end-to-end, from data model to polished web UI
Product sense: you have an intuition for what users need, can make product decisions independently, and deeply care about the products you build
Fluent in a modern web stack (e.g. TypeScript / React) and a backend language, comfortable anywhere in the stack
You thrive in ambiguity and greenfield work, taking a loosely-defined problem all the way to a shipped, adopted product
Low ego, collaborative, and fast-moving; you do your best work close to research, product, and infrastructure
Nice to have:
A working understanding of how ML models are built (experiments, evals, training workflows), or real curiosity to learn it
Experience with data-analysis tooling, agent tooling, or AI products
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.

To deliver it, you'll draw on our powerful model factory, thousands of GPUs, and our strong research team.
The near-term focus is image input — the capability most useful to SWE and general agents — reading a design and speccing it out, writing and verifying the code that makes that design real, understanding the plots and diagrams in a paper. You'll set the technical direction, starting with pragmatic adapter-based approaches and evolving toward native multimodality over time. You'll partner closely with across teams inside Applied Research, and work in a newly-formed team alongside one of our talented founding engineers to bootstrap our multimodality efforts.
YOUR MISSION
To bring multimodality to Poolside's models, starting with image input and building toward native multimodal understanding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own Poolside's multimodality direction and capability adoption
Ship our first image-input capabilities
Chart and drive the path from adapter-based to native multimodality
Collaborate on custom evaluations and datasets for multimodal SWE capabilities
Run experiments end to end: hypothesis, implementation, training at scale, analysis

Events Lead
ABOUT POOLSIDE
In this decade, the world will create artificial intelligence that reaches human level intelligence (and beyond) by combining learning and search. There will only be a small number of companies who will achieve this. Their ability to stack advantages and pull ahead will determine who survives and wins. These companies will move faster than anyone else. They will attract the world's most capable talent. They will be on the forefront of applied research and engineering at scale. They will create powerful economic engines. They will continue to scale their training to larger & more capable models. They will be given the right to raise large amounts of capital along their journey to enable this.
poolside exists to be one of these companies - to build a world where AI will drive the majority of economically valuable work and scientific progress.
We believe that software development will be the first major capability in neural networks that reaches human-level intelligence because it's the domain where we can combine Search and Learning approaches the best.
At poolside we believe our applied research needs to culminate in products that are put in the hands of people. Today we focus on building for a developer-led increasingly AI-assisted world. We believe that current capabilities of AI lead to incredible tooling that can assist developers in their day to day work. We also believe that as we increase the capabilities of our models, we increasingly empower anyone in the world to be able to build software. We envision a future where not 100 million people can build software but 2 billion people can.
ABOUT OUR TEAM
We are a remote-first team that sits across Europe and North America and comes together once a month in-person for 3 days and for longer offsites twice a year.
Our R&D and production teams are a combination of more research and more engineering-oriented profiles, however, everyone deeply cares about the quality of the systems we build and has a strong underlying knowledge of software development. We believe that good engineering leads to faster development iterations, which allows us to compound our efforts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Events Lead to take full ownership of every event poolside touches—the ones we host and the ones we show up to—across the world. From investor moments like Davos to developer activations to revenue-driving conferences we attend, you'll own production end to end: booth, materials, swag, logistics, vendors, and the run-of-show. You'll also be the person who makes sure every poolside team member traveling to an event is organized, briefed, and set up to make an impact.
This role is based in the US. The most complex and highest-stakes events we run happen here, for reasons of audience, partners, and logistics, so we need someone on the ground who can lead them with operational rigor.
You'll work across marketing, sales, product, developer relations, and leadership, and you'll be the connective tissue that turns a calendar of events into measurable awareness, demand, and model usage.
YOUR MISSION
You'll be obsessed with how poolside shows up to the world—every booth, every dinner, every keynote moment—and with turning each one into mindshare, model usage, brand and pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll own the full lifecycle of poolside's events, which fall into three broad categories, each with its own goals:
Commercial — revenue-generating events designed to create and accelerate pipeline. You'll align audiences, invites, and follow-through with go-to-market & partnerships so each event drives measurable commercial impact.
Activation events — events built to grow mindshare, model usage, and token consumption. You'll design experiences that get developers to try, adopt, and build with poolside.
Corporate events — All the other moments where poolside needs to show up with precision and polish.
Across all three, you'll:
Own the entire show. From budget to booth design, swag to A/V, on-site ops to run-of-show, you'll be the person who turns a blank slate into an event people remember. Nothing ships without your fingerprints on it.
Be the reason it runs flawlessly. Every traveling team member looks to you for briefings, schedules, logistics, and prep. When the poolside contingent walks in sharp, organized, and ready, that's you.
Connect events to real outcomes. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with go-to-market, partnerships, marketing, product, and developer relations to tie every event to targets that matter: attendance, pipeline, model usage, content reach. You won't just run events, you'll prove they moved the needle.
Own the money story. Track spend, reconcile invoices, and model ROI so the business knows exactly what's working and why. Your story shapes where we invest next.
Set the bar for partners. Build the relationships with agencies, production partners, sponsors, and vendors that make great events possible, and hold every one of them to the standard poolside is known for.
Take poolside global. As we scale our presence across regions, you'll be the one building programming that works anywhere in the world.
Make every event better than the last. Own the KPIs for reach, engagement, pipeline, and brand lift, then turn the data into insights that sharpen everything we do.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5+ years in event planning and execution, including hands-on experience running conferences, product launches, or activations with large audiences.
Based in the US, with the operational skill to lead complex, high-stakes events on the ground here like AWS re:Invent or NVIDIA GTC.
Deeply detail-oriented: run-of-show documents, vendor management, A/V coordination, swag and booth logistics, and traveler prep are where you shine.
Commercial awareness: you understand how events connect to pipeline, sponsorship value, model adoption, and ROI, and can report on it clearly.
A strong cross-functional collaborator who can manage external partners and internal stakeholders to a high standard.
Developer empathy: you ideally know how to design experiences that resonate with technical audiences—engineers, CTOs, and product leaders – and you can partner with marketing and our field engineering team to support their vision.
Operational rigor: a proven ability to deliver complex events on time and on budget, with solid contingency planning.
Comfortable with frequent travel and with the ambiguity of a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

By building collaboratively and with intention, we create a compounding effect that moves the entire company forward towards our mission: reaching AGI through intelligence systems built for software development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a role for someone who wants to define what gets built, not just how it looks. You'll own product vision in 0-to-1 spaces, working at the frontier of what Poolside should build next, translating ambiguous problems into clear product direction, and prototyping fast to validate ideas before they become roadmap. You'll work closely with engineering and leadership, partnering tightly with our product design team to shape experiences that sit at the intersection of frontier AI and developer tooling.
The problems here are genuinely hard and the surface area is wide. One day you're digging deep to understand how developers experience a new agentic workflow; the next you're building a proof-of-concept that changes the direction of a product. Your taste and judgment will be visible in what ships.
YOUR MISSION
To forge the product direction for Poolside's developer experience, defining what we build at the frontier of AI and software development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own product vision in 0-to-1 spaces, defining what Poolside should build and translating ambiguous problems into clear, buildable direction.
Lead design, experimentation, and proof-of-concepts that explore what's next for developer tools, feeding insight back into the product roadmap.
Partner with Product Engineering to move ideas from concept to shipped product, working at both the strategic and the granular level.
Prototype rapidly and validate early; you're as comfortable in code as you are in a design tool.
Collaborate with designers and the wider design team to ensure product thinking is consistent and well-resourced across Poolside's surfaces.
Shape how Poolside shows up externally as a product, including how developers first encounter our work.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong product intuition with a history of defining what to build, not just how to build it. You've forged direction, not just executed on it.
A genuine history of building with code: scripts, tools, personal projects shipped from scratch. You can speak concretely to what you built and why.
Genuine familiarity with developer workflows. Version control, local environments, the command line, deployment pipelines. Not as a curiosity, but as your natural habitat.
Deep experience designing for developer tools specifically, not general consumer or enterprise products.
Strong visual craft. You produce polished, high-quality UI and can hold a high bar across the full product experience.
Comfortable with rapid prototyping, research, and proof-of-concepts. You move fast and validate early.
Highly autonomous: you set your own direction, bring others along on your thinking, and make good decisions in ambiguity.

ABOUT POOLSIDE
In this decade, the world will create Artificial General Intelligence. There will only be a small number of companies who will achieve this. Their ability to stack advantages and pull ahead will define the winners. These companies will move faster than anyone else. They will attract the world's most capable talent. They will be on the forefront of applied research, engineering, infrastructure and deployment at scale. They will continue to scale their training to larger & more capable models. They will be given the right to raise large amounts of capital along their journey to enable this. They will create powerful economic engines. They will obsess over the success of their users and customers.
