If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining accounting policies, ensuring compliance across the company, and building best-in-class month-end processes - all while partnering with teams across the company. As a Senior Accountant, you'll own key areas of our monthly and quarterly close and take a lead role in designing and maintaining scalable procedures, policies, and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP. We're an AI-forward team: we expect to continually re-think how we close, reconcile, and report using AI and automation rather than simply scaling manual effort. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, works independently, partners well across functions, and consistently meets deadlines while managing shifting priorities.
We are currently hiring for two roles in the Corporate Accounting Team:
- Senior Accountant - General & Administrative Expense Accounting
- Own G&A cross-functional partnership, cash, corporate card, travel & expense, payroll & benefits accounting, intercompany and consolidations, with flux analysis and technical reporting for assigned areas. Scope may evolve as the team grows.
- Senior Accountant - Sales & Marketing Expense Accounting
- Own S&M partnership across functions, ASC 842 lease accounting, capitalized software, prepaids, fixed assets, intangibles & goodwill, and OPEX allocations, including flux review and reporting for your assigned scope. Scope may evolve as the team grows.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
- Own month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for your assigned areas
- Depending on the role, own accounting for areas including cash & treasury, intercompany, consolidations, corporate card, travel & expense (T&E), payroll & benefits, ASC 842 leases, capitalized software, prepaids, fixed assets, intangibles & goodwill, and OPEX allocations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly flux analyses and reporting packages for your assigned areas
- Partner cross-functionally with G&A or S&M business stakeholders - providing accounting guidance, preparing accruals, and supporting projects and initiatives - to ensure accurate, timely accounting
- Use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to automate manual work, identify process improvements, and accelerate the close, while documenting new and existing processes
- Support quarterly reviews and the annual financial audit, prepare schedules and respond to audit requests
- Assist with SOX compliance and help maintain a strong internal control environment
- Support system implementations and take on additional or evolving ownership areas within corporate accounting as the team scales
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting with hands-on ownership of the month-end close process
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting
- Proficiency with NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems, leveraging automation and AI tools to streamline accounting workflows
- Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and complex formulas, to produce audit-ready reporting and analysis
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
- 4+ years in a high-growth SaaS company or public accounting
- Experience operating within SOX and public company control environments
- Proficiency with NetSuite, Numeric, Zip, Ramp, Navan, AI tools, and related accounting platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented approach to problem solving
- CPA or active CPA candidate
