Senior Director, GTM Strategy & Operations
New York, NY
Apply
Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of GTM Operations & Strategy, this role will be responsible for the GTM strategy, operational support, and execution of our front-line teams across Flex's New Verticals business. As Flex expands beyond its core market into new segments, this leader will play a foundational role in building the GTM infrastructure that enables us to scale. We are looking for a builder — someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly to structure the unstructured, and brings both strategic rigor and operational horsepower to a business that is early but moving fast. This is a high-visibility role that will directly shape how new lines of business grow, and will require close partnership with Sales, Product, Analytics, Finance, and the broader GTM leadership team.
What You'll Do
GTM Strategy & Annual Planning: Own annual and quarterly planning for the New Verticals business unit, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Analytics to develop and execute clear, data-driven go-to-market strategies tailored to each vertical's unique dynamics.
Revenue Forecasting, Insights & Analytics: Own lead forecasting, pacing, and KPI reporting for the New Verticals GTM organization; identify trends, risks, and opportunities across pipeline, funnel efficiency, and revenue performance; build the reporting infrastructure largely from scratch as new verticals mature.
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization: Design and continuously refine sales processes, pipeline frameworks, territory structures, and operating mechanisms purpose-built for new verticals; partner with RevOps to ensure optimal execution within Flex's revenue systems environment.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution: Serve as the operational hub connecting Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Risk, and RevOps across the New Verticals portfolio; bring structure and clarity to ambiguous, fast-moving problems; build repeatable systems that can scale with the business.
Revenue Insights & Business Case Development: Conduct market sizing, segmentation, and TAM analysis for new verticals; build business cases supporting go/no-go decisions, new programs, product investments, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
Lead the Team: Develop and lead a revenue strategy and operations team supporting the New Verticals business, with expectation to grow the function as the verticals scale.
Key Qualifications
10+ years of experience in GTM strategy, revenue operations, strategy consulting, and/or business operations preferred; 5+ years minimum experience in a revenue leadership role
Proven ability to build GTM strategy and operational infrastructure in a greenfield or early-stage business context — not just optimizing what exists, but creating from scratch.
Strong analytical expertise with the ability to pull clear, actionable insights from incomplete or early-stage data.
Deep understanding of sales processes, pipeline dynamics, and revenue forecasting best practices, with the ability to adapt frameworks across different business models and buyer types.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams across multiple business lines simultaneously.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity — able to make good decisions with limited information and build structure around unstructured problems.
Capable of operating at both a strategic and execution level as the situation demands; willing to roll up sleeves in an early-stage environment.
Experience building processes and frameworks from the ground up.
FinTech, marketplace, or network-based business experience is a strong plus; experience operating across multiple business lines or verticals simultaneously is equally valued.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack-MarTech
New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; USA
$170,000 - $250,000 USD
About the role Flex is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our MarTech (Marketing Technology) team. This role involves spearheading the implementation of the platforms, services, and customer-facing web experiences that power how Flex finds, wins, and keeps customers. MarTech is the connective layer between our ad platforms, website, messaging systems, analytics, and product data. We turn marketing spend into a measurable, repeatable growth engine, and give marketing the ability to launch, test, and personalize campaigns without hand-built engineering each time. It's a team with a broad surface area, owning growth engineering end to end across Lifecycle Marketing (email & SMS), Performance Marketing (paid acquisition), Brand (social and every getflex.com property), and Product Marketing. Here are some of the projects and systems in MarTech you'll have opportunities to work on: Incentive platform — event-driven credit assignment for referrals, affiliates, and campaigns. Attribution and measurement — conversion APIs, identity resolution, and spend/event pipelines behind our acquisition cost reporting. Customer-facing web — the full getflex.com surface area and paid-acquisition landing pages. Lifecycle messaging — campaign orchestration, audience syncs, and event-driven notifications. What you'll do Build and own full-stack marketing services and web experiences that drive customer acquisition and retention. Design and develop 24/7 high-scale APIs, event-driven services, and data pipelines. Our stack runs on AWS: Java and Spring Boot for the existing backend code base; TypeScript and React for web. Build measurement into everything we ship, and integrate third-party ad, analytics, and messaging platforms behind durable abstractions. Work closely with marketing, data, product, design, and engineering peers to launch features and experiments across web and mobile. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of professional software development experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java. 3+ years of experience with TypeScript. 3+ years of experience with React (or React Native), including modern architectures and tooling in the React ecosystem (Hooks, Components, Context, state management). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration — especially translating between marketing goals and engineering tradeoffs. Proven experience building high-quality, high-performance web and mobile UIs to spec — including responsive, SEO-conscious, conversion-optimized pages. Proficient in Java frameworks and tools used at Flex, including Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit, and JVM (memory/performance tuning, GC). Experience with service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, webhooks, message queues, event-driven design, and scalable architectures. Experience with AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) and containerization tools. Comfort integrating and debugging third-party APIs and SDKs where you don't control the contract, including rate limits, partial failures, and reconciliation. Preferred Qualifications Experience on a growth, marketing engineering, or MarTech team. Hands-on experience with platforms such as Braze, Singular/AppsFlyer/Branch, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, LaunchDarkly, or the Meta/Google/TikTok/Apple ad and conversion APIs. Familiarity with attribution, identity resolution, and conversion tracking, and the privacy constraints they operate under (consent management, state privacy laws, platform tracking restrictions). Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, web performance optimization, and headless/CMS content tooling. Experience with big data platforms and tooling, including Snowflake. Proficient in CI/CD systems (preferably GitHub Actions), git, and automation; observability tools such as DataDog; and Infrastructure as Code using CDK or Terraform. Skilled at elevating team standards through best practices and mentoring junior engineers.
