Director, HRBP - Engineering
The Team
The People Team at Chainalysis is dedicated to enabling growth, building an inclusive environment, and providing the support that helps our employees do the best work of their careers. Chainalysis is at a defining moment, transforming from a product-based company to an intelligence platform AI native company. The People Team plays a critical role in ensuring our organization evolves as fast as our technology.
The Role
We're looking for a Director, HR Business Partner to serve as the strategic people partner to our R&D organization, the engine behind the blockchain intelligence products that governments, financial institutions, and crypto businesses around the world rely on to navigate blockchains safely and with confidence.
You will be the dedicated people strategist for R&D, partnering directly with the Head of R&D and the senior leadership team across engineering, research, product, design, and support to build a world-class technology-led organization during a period of significant transformation.
R&D at Chainalysis is in the midst of a fundamental shift — evolving team structures, operating models, and technical workflows as the company moves from application-based delivery to an intelligence platform powered by agents, and from pre-AI practices to AI-native engineering. You'll be at the center of this transformation, thought partnering with a newly appointed R&D leader as they reshape the organization, helping leaders rethink how teams are organized, how talent is developed, and how AI-era productivity reshapes what high-performing R&D organizations look like. This role is focused on building the organizational architecture for what comes next, evolving our R&D culture to support the work of the future.
In this role, you'll:
Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of R&D and R&D's senior leadership, building and embedding our people strategy to accelerate Chainalysis's transformation to an intelligence company
Lead organizational design and change management across R&D as teams evolve to support new operating models. Understand the distinct workflows and the different operating rhythms of platform engineering, data science, research, product, design, and support. Partner with leadership to design structures that optimize for velocity, ownership, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration
Drive the people side of AI transformation; help leaders understand how AI-augmented productivity is reshaping engineering roles, team sizes, and career trajectories. Evolve technical career frameworks and leveling to reflect the shift toward AI-native development and increased individual ownership
Own workforce planning and talent strategy for R&D, including succession planning, critical-role identification, and retention strategies for deeply specialized technical talent in a competitive market (blockchain, cryptography, data science, security), across our core technology hubs (NYC, Aarhus, and Tel Aviv). Partner with R&D leadership and Finance to ensure organizational design and headcount decisions balance growth investment with operational efficiency and cost discipline
Coach and challenge senior technical leaders on organizational health, performance management, team effectiveness, and employee relations, bringing both data and empathy to difficult conversations. Hold leaders accountable to Chainalysis's cultural standards as the organization scales
Help redefine R&D's operating rhythm and cultural standards; partner with the Head of R&D to reinforce an execution-oriented culture built on pride in craft, operational rigor, urgency, and transparency. Support the people dimensions of OKR-driven planning, quarterly business reviews, and structured accountability across a global, hybrid organization
Use data to see around corners; leverage people analytics to diagnose organizational health, identify attrition risks, and surface trends before they become systemic. Bring the same analytical rigor to people decisions that R&D brings to technical ones
We're looking for candidates who have:
10+ years of progressive HR/People experience, with at least 5 years as a strategic HRBP supporting engineering, R&D, or other deeply technical global organizations at high-growth technology companies with strong engineering cultures
Experience scaling an R&D organization through a period of rapid growth; you've been part of the journey as a technical organization of 200+ grew meaningfully in size and complexity, supporting ambitious revenue targets; you know what breaks at each stage of scaling, how roles and structures need to evolve in real-time, and how to build the people infrastructure to support a business that's growing fast
A builder's mindset - you can collaborate and create frameworks, programs, and approaches from scratch rather than waiting for a playbook. You approach people systems with the same iterative, build-and-improve mentality as the engineers you support
A deep understanding of how technical organizations operate and how AI is reshaping work; you can speak credibly about engineering workflows, product development lifecycles, platform vs. product team structures, and the distinct cultures of engineering, data science, and research. You have a point of view on how AI is changing the tech landscape, how it changes the nature of engineering work and team composition, to how it can be leveraged to reduce friction in people operations.
Executive Presence, Analytics, and Influence; you demonstrate high-trust coaching and executive presence, holding the line on what’s right for the organization while challenging leaders constructively. You pair this with strong analytical capabilities, using people data and organizational diagnostics to drive action. As a senior individual contributor, you lead through influence, credibility, and the quality of your thinking rather than positional authority—proving equally adept at presenting to the executive team and sitting with a first-time engineering manager to navigate complex, high-stakes situations.
Nice to have experience:
Experience in blockchain, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, or fintech, particularly understanding the competitive dynamics for technical talent in these spaces
Experience in regulated environments where security, compliance, and insider-risk considerations intersect with people strategy
AI at Chainalysis
AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.
AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.
About Chainalysis
Chainalysis is the blockchain data platform, making it easy to connect the movement of digital assets to real-world services. Powered by deep blockchain data and AI, organizations can investigate illicit activity, manage risk exposure, and develop innovative market solutions built on the industry's most trusted blockchain intelligence. Our mission is to build trust in blockchains, blending safety and security with an unwavering commitment to growth and innovation.

Full Stack Engineer
About Ridley
Ridley is rebuilding the home transaction around the consumer.
Our mission is to eliminate the $100B homeowners lose every year to real estate commissions by replacing a fragmented, intermediary-driven process with AI. We believe software will become the primary interface for buying and selling a home, while human experts are brought in only where they create real value.
Backed by leading investors and with strong early traction, we're building the AI-native platform that will define the next generation of residential real estate.
The Role
We're looking for an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to help build the future of one of the world's largest industries.
You'll work directly with the CEO and founding team to design, build, and scale an AI-native product from the ground up. This isn't a role where you'll own a small corner of a mature codebase, you'll help define the architecture, product, and engineering culture of the company.
AI is central to how we build. We use the latest AI coding tools to move faster, automate repetitive work, and spend more time solving hard product and engineering problems.
What You'll Do
- Own the design, architecture, and implementation of features across the stack—from frontend to backend to cloud infrastructure.
- Build fast, intuitive user experiences with React, Next.js, and Tailwind.
- Develop scalable backend services with Node.js and AWS.
- Design and operate cloud infrastructure using AWS (CDK, CloudFront, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Bedrock, S3, EC2, and Fargate).
- Build AI-native product experiences by integrating frontier language models into core user workflows.
- Design and implement agentic systems that leverage tool use, memory, retrieval, and orchestration to complete complex tasks on behalf of users.
- Work AI-first, using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Copilot to dramatically accelerate development while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Partner closely with product, design, and legal to ship secure, reliable, and scalable features.
- Improve our engineering systems, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling as the company grows.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience building modern full stack applications, ideally at an early-stage startup.
- Strong experience designing and operating production systems on AWS.
- Deep expertise with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications using modern foundation models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock, or similar).
- Experience building agentic systems, including retrieval, tool calling, memory, evaluation, and multi-step orchestration.
- Fluent with modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Copilot—you use them to multiply your output, not just generate code.
- Proven ability to design software architecture and make sound technical tradeoffs.
- Strong product instincts and a track record of shipping polished, end-to-end features.
- High ownership, excellent judgment, and the ability to move quickly through ambiguity.
Why Join Ridley
This is an opportunity to help redefine how millions of people buy and sell homes.
Ridley is already live with real customers, real revenue, and strong early momentum. We've been featured in The New York Times, The Daily, and CBS, and are backed by leading investors who believe, as we do, that AI will fundamentally reshape residential real estate.
If you want to help build the company that defines that future, we'd love to talk.
Senior Sales Engineer - Enterprise
Sales Engineer (NYC)
Data quality is the bottleneck of the AI era. Every Fortune 500 is trying to solve it. We're the team they call.
Soda is the data quality layer for Disney, Ralph Lauren, CBRE, HelloFresh, 2K Games, and Nubank. The category is growing rapidly because AI doesn't work on bad data.
We're hiring a Sales Engineer in our Brooklyn HQ, working in-person with the CEO, CMO, and the rest of the GTM team. You'll work on enterprise deals with the most technical buyers in the market, learn the full sales cycle from people who've built and sold to enterprises before, and grow fast.
Who this is for
Sales Engineers with a couple of years under their belt who want to level up. You've run demos, supported PoCs, and worked with AEs on real deals - now you want to do it at a startup where the deals are technical, and you can move fast without layers of process getting in the way.
You'll work directly with AEs, and the CRO on enterprise accounts. You'll run demos, scope PoCs, and own the technical side of deals - with support when you need it and room to grow into bigger deals as you prove yourself.
What you'll do
- Run demos and scope PoCs alongside our AEs, from first technical call through to closed-won
- Translate customer problems into Soda solutions, and translate Soda's capabilities into the customer's language
- Build custom demos, sample pipelines, and PoC environments that show real value
- Own product, technical, and security responses on RFPs and RFIs
- Support customers through evaluation, purchasing, and implementation
- Be the technical voice in the room - with Data Engineers, Heads of Data Platform, and Chief Data Officers
- Feed product and engineering the signal from the field - what's winning, what's losing, and why
- Travel occasionally to customer sites, team offsites, and conferences
- Wear many hats - it's a startup, you'll touch every stage of the sales cycle
How you'll operate
- In-person from day one in Brooklyn, sitting next to the CEO and CMO
- Direct line to the CRO, co-founder, and product team - no layers
- Learn the product deeply - Soda Core (open source) and Soda Cloud (commercial)
- Learn the enterprise data stack - Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Kafka
Must have
- 1-3 years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role at a B2B SaaS company
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field - Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or similar
- Fluent in Python - you can read, write, and debug it in front of a customer
- Experience running demos and supporting PoCs in customer environments
- Strong customer communication - clear, calm, and honest under pressure. You can explain something technically complex to a Data Engineer and to a VP of Data in the same conversation
- Builder mentality, process-oriented - you want to optimize and streamline boring processes. You write docs without being asked. You notice when a process is broken and propose a fix. You'd rather build an AI workflow to automate a repetitive task than do it manually three more times - and you have examples of doing exactly that
- High horsepower and ruthless prioritization - you context-switch well, manage multiple projects with expansive ownership, and don't drop balls
- Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help others, and a desire to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to make both your team and our customers succeed
- Based in NYC or willing to relocate
Nice to have
- Top university degree
- Experience selling to data teams (Data Engineers, Data Platform, CDOs)
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, or observability tools
- Data stack fluency - Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka
- Experience at a high-growth Series A-C startup
- Experience building or presenting custom demos
- Base salary: $100,000-$130,000
- Equity
- Location: In-person, Brooklyn HQ
- Benefits: Unlimited PTO, 401k, medical insurance
Hiring process
- Phone screen interview
- Recorded demo - We'll give you access to the product. You'll record a short demo of Soda to a hypothetical customer.
- Technical interview
- Culture fit with the CRO and Director of Customer Engineering

-
Solid Linux fundamentals — comfortable in the command line, reading logs, and running diagnostic commands.
-
Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, NAT, proxy configurations, and port forwarding.
-
Hands-on experience with SSH and VPN — setup, tunneling, and troubleshooting.
-
Comfortable doing L1 customer chat and deep technical investigation on the same day.
-
Strong written English and a natural ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
-
Ability to navigate ambiguity
-
Excellent oral communication skill with both internal stakeholders and external technical teams
-
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site customer visits — you're comfortable getting in front of customers in person when the situation calls for it.
