Lead Sales Engineer (Remote)
Data quality is the bottleneck of the AI era. Every Fortune 500 is trying to solve it. We're the team they call.
Soda is the data quality layer for Disney, Ralph Lauren, CBRE, HelloFresh, 2K Games, and Nubank. The category is growing rapidly because AI doesn't work on bad data.
We're hiring a remote Lead Sales Engineer to own the technical side of our biggest enterprise deals and to bring up the SEs behind you. Direct line to the CRO, Director of Customer Engineering, and product team - no layers.
Who this is this for
Sales Engineers who've already done the job well and want more than another quota to support. You've owned the technical win on enterprise deals, and you're already the person junior SEs come to after a demo went sideways.
If you want a big-company SE org with an enablement team, this isn't it. If you want the hardest deals and the machine that makes everyone else better at them, this is it.
What you'll do
- Own the technical win on our largest enterprise deals - first technical call through architecture review, security review, PoC, and closed-won
- Scope PoCs against the customer's stated success criteria, and hold the scope so evaluations actually finish
- Own technical and security responses on RFPs, including SOC 2 and infosec questions from regulated buyers
- Ramp new US SEs - their onboarding, their first demos, and the call on when they're ready to go solo
- Coach demos and run technical deal reviews. Tell people what didn't land and why
- Build the reusable stuff - demo environments, PoC templates, competitive positioning
Hiring process
- Phone screen interview - 15 minute call with a founder
- Recorded demo - We'll give you access to the product. You'll record a short demo of Soda to a hypothetical customer.
- Deep dive interview - one deal you won, one you lost, and scoping a PoC from a short scenario
- Culture fit with the team
What you might not love
- Priorities move. Expansion phase, a lot of work, not a lot of process.
- No enablement team. If the PoC template doesn't exist, you write it.
Must have
- 6+ years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect at a B2B SaaS company, on enterprise deals - $100K+ ACV, multiple stakeholders, three-month-plus cycles
- You've developed other SEs - onboarding, demo coaching, or mentoring. Tell us who you brought up and what you actually did
- Fluent in Python and SQL - you can read, write, and debug both in front of a customer
- Strong customer communication - clear, calm, and honest under pressure. You can explain something technically complex to a Data Engineer and to a CDO in the same conversation
- You give feedback that lands - specific, about the work and not the person. You'd rather have the awkward conversation this week than the same one in three months
- Builder mentality, humble, high-horsepower - you write docs without being asked, you'd rather automate a task than repeat it, and you'd rather learn what you're missing than bluff it
- Based in the US
Nice to have
- Experience selling data quality, governance, or observability tools
- Experience selling into regulated industries - financial services, pharma, energy, insurance
- Data stack fluency - Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka
- Interest in growing into a management track
- Base salary: $160,000-$180,000
- Equity - everyone full-time at Soda is a shareholder
- Location: Remote (US-based)
- Benefits: PTO, 401k, medical insurance
Sales Engineer (NYC)
Data quality is the bottleneck of the AI era. Every Fortune 500 is trying to solve it. We're the team they call.
Soda is the data quality layer for Disney, Ralph Lauren, CBRE, HelloFresh, 2K Games, and Nubank. The category is growing rapidly because AI doesn't work on bad data.
We're hiring a Sales Engineer in our Brooklyn HQ, working in-person with the CEO, CMO, and the rest of the GTM team. You'll work on enterprise deals with the most technical buyers in the market, learn the full sales cycle from people who've built and sold to enterprises before, and grow fast.
Who this is for
Sales Engineers with a couple of years under their belt who want to level up. You've run demos, supported PoCs, and worked with AEs on real deals - now you want to do it at a startup where the deals are technical, and you can move fast without layers of process getting in the way.
You'll work directly with AEs, and the CRO on enterprise accounts. You'll run demos, scope PoCs, and own the technical side of deals - with support when you need it and room to grow into bigger deals as you prove yourself.
What you'll do
- Run demos and scope PoCs alongside our AEs, from first technical call through to closed-won
- Translate customer problems into Soda solutions, and translate Soda's capabilities into the customer's language
- Build custom demos, sample pipelines, and PoC environments that show real value
- Own product, technical, and security responses on RFPs and RFIs
- Support customers through evaluation, purchasing, and implementation
- Be the technical voice in the room - with Data Engineers, Heads of Data Platform, and Chief Data Officers
- Feed product and engineering the signal from the field - what's winning, what's losing, and why
- Travel occasionally to customer sites, team offsites, and conferences
- Wear many hats - it's a startup, you'll touch every stage of the sales cycle
How you'll operate
- In-person from day one in Brooklyn, sitting next to the CEO and CMO
- Direct line to the CRO, co-founder, and product team - no layers
- Learn the product deeply - Soda Core (open source) and Soda Cloud (commercial)
- Learn the enterprise data stack - Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Kafka
Must have
- 1-3 years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role at a B2B SaaS company
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field - Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or similar
- Fluent in Python - you can read, write, and debug it in front of a customer
- Experience running demos and supporting PoCs in customer environments
- Strong customer communication - clear, calm, and honest under pressure. You can explain something technically complex to a Data Engineer and to a VP of Data in the same conversation
- Builder mentality, process-oriented - you want to optimize and streamline boring processes. You write docs without being asked. You notice when a process is broken and propose a fix. You'd rather build an AI workflow to automate a repetitive task than do it manually three more times - and you have examples of doing exactly that
- High horsepower and ruthless prioritization - you context-switch well, manage multiple projects with expansive ownership, and don't drop balls
- Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help others, and a desire to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to make both your team and our customers succeed
- Based in NYC or willing to relocate
Nice to have
- Top university degree
- Experience selling to data teams (Data Engineers, Data Platform, CDOs)
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, or observability tools
- Data stack fluency - Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka
- Experience at a high-growth Series A-C startup
- Experience building or presenting custom demos
- Base salary: $100,000-$130,000
- Equity
- Location: In-person, Brooklyn HQ
- Benefits: Unlimited PTO, 401k, medical insurance
Hiring process
- Phone screen interview
- Recorded demo - We'll give you access to the product. You'll record a short demo of Soda to a hypothetical customer.

Senior Partner Solution Architect
Are you ready to shape the future of data?
Matillion is the company behind Maia, the AI Data Automation platform.
In the AI economy, demand for data is exploding. Manual data engineering can’t keep up. Maia fixes that by combining 15 years of data expertise with agentic AI to eliminate the manual work that slows data teams down. Organisations like Cisco, DocuSign, and Slack are already using it to deliver real business impact, faster.
We started in Manchester and now we’re global - with teams across the UK, US and India.
We are driven, curious, energetic people who move fast, think big and hold ourselves to a high standard. We’re here to make a dent in the universe bigger than ourselves. And we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
About the role
Our partner ecosystem is one of the most powerful levers we have for growth - and this role sits right at the heart of it. As Senior Partner Solution Architect, you are the primary technical authority for Matillion's partner relationships, spanning global SIs like Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro and Infosys, and cloud platforms including AWS, Snowflake and Databricks. This is a senior individual contributor role at the intersection of technology, enablement and go-to-market. You don't just advise partners, you build their capability, accelerate joint pipelines and make Matillion the go-to data integration platform across every partner practice.
This is a role for someone who is technically credible, commercially sharp and energised by enabling others. You'll design and deliver partner enablement programmes, engage as the Matillion technical lead in co-sell motions, own the technical onboarding journey for new partners and feed the voice of the ecosystem back into Product and Engineering. If you're partner-obsessed, deeply fluent in the modern data stack and ready to operate with high autonomy, this is for you.
- Designing and delivering structured technical enablement programmes for GSI and cloud partner teams - including bootcamps, workshops, certification pathways and a scalable partner readiness framework that tracks and closes technical maturity gaps
- Engaging as the Matillion technical lead in joint partner-led sales cycles - supporting partner SAs in discovery, solution design and technical validation, while working alongside Alliances and Sales to activate co-sell motions with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks and other cloud marketplace partners
- Owning the end-to-end technical onboarding journey for new GSI and cloud partners - from first product orientation through to delivery readiness - with clear milestones and the ability to independently demo, implement and support Matillion within agreed timeframes
- Acting as the internal voice of the partner ecosystem - surfacing product gaps, feature requests and integration needs to Product and Engineering, while enabling internal field teams to confidently articulate partner-led Matillion use cases
- Building Matillion's presence and credibility in the partner ecosystem through technical thought leadership - authoring blogs, white papers and solution briefs, representing Matillion at partner QBRs, conferences and joint field events across the US
- 5+ years in a Solution Architect, Partner SE or Technical Presales role within the data, analytics or cloud ecosystem - with a proven track record of enabling GSI or cloud partner teams at scale, including delivering training programmes and certification frameworks
- Deep hands-on knowledge of data integration, ELT/ETL architecture and modern cloud data platform design - with direct experience across Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery or Azure Synapse, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to build and navigate complex partner organisations - you know how to work with GSI practice leads, cloud alliance teams and C-suite stakeholders, and you're equally confident in a technical deep-dive and an executive briefing
- A natural enabler with a bias for action - you get energy from teaching and uplifting others, you manage multiple partner programmes simultaneously without losing quality, and you thrive in a high-autonomy environment
- Commercially aware and technically opinionated - you can go deep on architecture and zoom out to business impact, and you bring conviction to every conversation while remaining genuinely collaborative
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level, and country. This role’s estimated annual salary range is $125,272 - $187908. Because this role is eligible for variable pay in the form of sales commissions, your total annual on-target annual earnings will be between $178,960 - $268,440. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.

Senior Solution Architect
Enterprise Sales Development Representative
Engineering Manager, Data Cloud
The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and building products that establish trust in cryptocurrencies. We're a global organization that thrives on challenging work and doing it alongside exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry evolves rapidly, and our mission is to build a flexible, AI-driven platform that automates entity resolution, optimizes data labeling pipelines, and creates predictive models that identify illicit patterns before they escalate.
Our data and solutions have been used to solve some of the world's most high-profile criminal cases and grow consumer access to cryptocurrency safely. Now, by pairing the industry's most trusted blockchain data with agents that reason, investigate, and act, we help our customers scale their workflows as the cryptocurrency economy becomes increasingly mainstream.
The Data Cloud team is the analytical data platform at Chainalysis. We build and operate the real-time streaming pipelines (Apache Flink), data lakehouse (Databricks), and cloud infrastructure that power how the world understands blockchain data. Our pipelines process billions of records daily and directly serve customers including some of the largest institutions in crypto. This is a small team with outsized impact: 6 engineers managing petabyte-scale infrastructure
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who leads through service, not authority. You'll partner with a Staff Data Engineer who drives the technical vision and a team of data engineers who are building and maintaining data pipelines, as well as the data cloud infrastructure. Your job is to create the conditions where every engineer on this team does the best work of their career, by removing blockers, coaching growth, driving crisp execution, and building a culture where curiosity, engineering excellence, and intelligent use of AI are the norm.
In this role, you’ll:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 engineers spanning streaming, data lakehouse, serving layer, and platform infrastructure — with genuine curiosity about each domain
Serve the team by removing obstacles, shielding them from organizational noise, and ensuring they have what they need to ship
Own the quarterly plan and sprint-level execution: translate OKRs into milestones with clear owners, timelines, and success criteria — and keep them updated without being asked
Coach each engineer toward their next level, with specific plans, timely feedback, and active promotion sponsorship when the work is done
Champion engineering best practices: design reviews before major changes, ADRs for architectural decisions, blameless post-mortems, automated testing, and data quality as a first-class citizen in every pipeline
Manage the on-call rotation and incident response process so that reactive work doesn't consume the team's capacity to build
Build an understanding of the data cloud architecture — not to design it, but to ask better questions, anticipate risks, and have credible conversations with stakeholders
Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous learning, where engineers explore new technologies, share knowledge, and question assumptions
Hire exceptional talent to grow the team with a focus on diversity, raising the bar, and complementing existing strengths
Drive AI adoption across the team's engineering workflows — the team has a mandate for AI adoption, and you'll be expected to be a role model, to champion this, remove friction, and help engineers integrate AI tools into their daily development, code review, documentation, and debugging practices
We’re looking for candidates who have:
Managed a team of 5–10 engineers building data infrastructure, data platforms, or backend systems at scale — with a genuine servant leadership philosophy
A software or data engineering background — you've been a hands-on engineer and can read a Terraform plan, follow a streaming architecture discussion, and ask meaningful questions in a design review
A track record of developing people: coaching engineers to promotion, giving hard feedback that led to growth, and building teams where retention is high because people feel valued and challenged
Strong execution habits: you create and maintain project timelines, know when things are off track before your team tells you.
The ability to communicate clearly — you can explain a technical decision to a VP, write a concise incident summary, and draft a quarterly plan for your team
Collaborative instincts and experience working cross-functionally with Product, other engineering teams, and leadership in a fast-moving environment
An interest in or curiosity about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology — we can help you learn, but the curiosity has to be genuine
-
A proactive mindset toward AI-assisted engineering — you should already be using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) in your own work and have opinions about how they change engineering workflows, code quality, and team productivity. We're looking for someone who sees AI as a multiplier.
You might also have:
Knowledge of the modern data stack: Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Delta Lake/Iceberg, some experience with Flink and/or StarRocks would be appreciated.
Cloud cost optimization experience and FinOps practices
A background in blockchain, fintech, or other data-intensive domains
Experience driving AI adoption within an engineering team — setting expectations, measuring impact, removing barriers to adoption, and evolving workflows as tools mature
-
Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and an understanding of where they accelerate development vs. where human judgment is irreplaceable
Technologies we use:
Streaming: Apache Flink, Kafka (WarpStream)
Lakehouse: Databricks, Delta Lake, Iceberg, DBT
Currently testing StarRocks as a serving layer
Infrastructure: Terraform, AWS (S3, EC2, EKS, IAM), Kubernetes, Helm
CI/CD: GitHub Actions
Observability: Datadog, PagerDuty
AI Development: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot
Languages: Java, Python, SQL, HCL
AI at Chainalysis
AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.
AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.
About Chainalysis
Chainalysis is the blockchain data platform, making it easy to connect the movement of digital assets to real-world services. Powered by deep blockchain data and AI, organizations can investigate illicit activity, manage risk exposure, and develop innovative market solutions built on the industry's most trusted blockchain intelligence. Our mission is to build trust in blockchains, blending safety and security with an unwavering commitment to growth and innovation.
You belong here.
At Chainalysis, we believe that diversity of experience and thought makes us stronger. With both customers and employees around the world, we are committed to ensuring our team reflects the unique communities around us. We’re ensuring we keep learning by committing to continually revisit and reevaluate our diversity culture.
We encourage applicants across any race, ethnicity, gender/gender expression, age, spirituality, ability, experience and more. If you need any accommodations to make our interview process more accessible to you due to a disability, don't hesitate to let us know. You can learn more here. We can’t wait to meet you.
