The Robotics Field Development Test Associate supports the testing, deployment, and operation of Serve's autonomous delivery robots in real-world environments. This role executes field testing, commercial deliveries, and operational activities that help validate robot performance, identify product improvements, and ensure safe, reliable operation across development and production fleets.
The Robotics Field Development Test Associate partners with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams by collecting test data, documenting issues, executing field procedures, and providing feedback that improves product quality and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute field testing activities for autonomous delivery robots by following established test plans, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Deploy, monitor, recover, and operate robots in real-world environments while ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Perform commercial deliveries and represent Serve professionally when interacting with merchants, customers, and members of the public.
- Identify, document, and reproduce software, hardware, and operational issues, providing clear information to support engineering investigations.
- Collect test data, observations, and operational feedback to support product development and continuous improvement efforts.
- Troubleshoot basic software and hardware issues in the field and escalate complex problems to engineering teams as appropriate.
- Prepare robots for testing and deployment by performing routine inspections, charging, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities.
- Follow established safety procedures, operational protocols, and testing standards during all field activities.
- Maintain accurate testing records, issue documentation, and operational logs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to support testing, deployments, demonstrations, and pilot programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.
- Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, field operations, logistics, quality assurance, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow test procedures and document results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established processes and safety procedures.
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking or biking several miles during a shift.
- Ability to lift and move equipment consistent with the physical demands of the role.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience supporting field testing, robotics, autonomous vehicles, logistics, or technical operations.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Experience using data visualization or monitoring tools such as Grafana or Looker.
- Experience troubleshooting software or hardware systems.
- Passion for robotics, automation, and emerging technologies.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time, onsite position based in West Hollywood, California. The role requires regular work outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves standing, walking, biking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required to support testing, deployments, or operational needs.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing workplace health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with site leadership and employees to promote a safe work environment, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify timely completion.
- Assist in developing site-specific safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
COMPLIANCE & REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local fire code, and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain required EHS documentation, records, permits, and reports.
- Support regulatory inspections and respond to findings as necessary.
- Stay informed on changes to EHS regulations and industry best practices.
INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
- Lead or support investigations of workplace injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents.
- Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Track incident trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk.
TRAINING & EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Support safety committee activities and site-wide safety campaigns.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
- Assist with emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
- Coordinate drills for fire, evacuation, severe weather, and other emergency scenarios.
- Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are properly maintained and inspected.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS
- Support waste management, recycling, hazardous material handling, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of regulated materials.
- Monitor environmental compliance requirements and reporting obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, robotics, technology operations, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS reporting tools.
PREFERRED
- Professional certifications such as:
- OSHA 30-Hour
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
- Experience with contractor safety management.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Associate Partner Manager supports Serve's merchant partnerships by helping merchants navigate day-to-day challenges, coordinating issue resolution, and supporting market growth efforts. This role serves as a key resource for merchant partners, conducting in-market visits, assisting with new location launches, and helping ensure a positive partner experience. The Associate Partner Manager will also support robot demonstrations, local activations, and other initiatives that help expand Serve's presence within the market.
JOB DUTIES
- Serve as a day-to-day resource for merchant partners, helping address questions, operational issues, and escalations while ensuring a positive partner experience.
- Conduct merchant visits, support onboarding efforts, and assist with new location launches to help partners successfully adopt and operate within the Serve ecosystem.
- Gather merchant feedback, identify recurring challenges and opportunities, and communicate actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Support robot demonstrations, local activations, market expansion initiatives, and other projects that help grow Serve's merchant footprint within the market.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, & SKILLS
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in account management, customer success, or operations, ideally within technology, food service, or delivery ecosystems.
- Demonstrated track record of field sales cycles and objection handling skills
- Familiarity with tablet and Point-of-sale hardware systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Experience using CRM systems and basic data analysis tools to manage performance and reporting.
- Willing to travel up to 50-60% within the LA / surrounding market areas
