We’re looking for an experienced Banking Partnerships Manager to join the North America Banking & Expansion team in Austin, TX. Wise sends more money into and out of USD than any other currency. Our bank and payment partner relationships and infrastructure determine the quality of our product and a large part of its economics. Our relationships with regulators, governments and domestic payment systems are also crucial. Additionally, we're seeking an experienced executor with a strong knowledge of payment systems and the regulatory landscape, an analytical mind and executive communication and project management skills to help deepen our presence in a critical region.
This role is part of the Global Banking team, which is focused on expanding and deepening our presence in local markets. For us, this is the US and Canada. The team is led by a Head of Banking and Expansion, North America and has four additional team members covering the market (3 people in Austin, 2 in NYC).
Your mission:

Advance our payment infrastructure in North America
Understand and help other teams understand in detail the existing and planned payments infrastructure in the U.S. and Canada and support our payments strategy to provide the best cross-border payments services to our customers in North America.
Have in-depth knowledge about North America payment systems (e.g., rails and schemes) and support direct payments systems integration efforts as well as integrations to payment systems via bank partners in the US and Canada .
Execute projects related to infrastructure growth, risk management, governance and regulatory/license expansion for us to have the best payment infrastructure in the U.S. and Canada. This might include projects related to integrating and expanding payment rails that Wise utilizes to receive and deliver payments in North America or expanding regulatory licenses and entity infrastructure to process payments directly with central bank payment systems.
Align closely with Government Relations and Legal teams to review and apply deep understanding of current and proposed payments and financial services regulations to support Wise’s policy and regulatory goals to make North America payment systems more accessible, competitive and transparent.

Lead key bank and payment partner relationships for the North America region
Own key bank and payment partner relationships, collaborating between the partner and internal, cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Platform, Compliance, Payment Operations and Legal.
Advocate for Wise’s products and compliance goals with banks and payment partners and act as the bank’s advocate within Wise to ensure we are meeting agreed compliance and payment processing requirements.
Drive and complete periodic and ongoing due diligences, to make sure bank partners are aware and comfortable with our operations and controls and that the bank is the right partner for Wise. Work closely with Compliance, Risk and Product teams for this.
Lead commercial negotiations and business reviews, pitch for Wise’s new products, features and platform innovations.
Review and improve key metrics via business reviews to grow Wise’s volume to ensure Wise is receiving the best possible leverage from our partners.

Working with the Product Leads, help define the opportunities and direction for our products in North America
Work closely with product teams (Product Managers and Product Engineers) to develop our vision and build better products and experiences for our customers. Your contribution will mainly be from the payments infrastructure, regulatory and operational banking partnerships point of view.
Work with North America and global teams (Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, etc.) to ensure our North American customers and products are at the center of our mission.
Partner with North American and Global product teams to identify Bank and other partnerships to support the strategy and launch for consumer and small business debit and credit cards. Understand the business and product needs to ensure identification of the right partners and structure the partnership to address strategy and implementation approach as defined by the product teams.

Independently execute high priority projects and workstreams to deepen North America presence
Leverage financial services and payments infrastructure knowledge to lead priority projects such as onboarding new bank and payment partners, integrating new payment methods, and completing discovery for new and innovative financial products.
Provide strategic support to Wise’s efforts around operationalizing Bank / Trust licenses including managing OCC and Federal Reserve deliverables, managing delivery of pre-opening exam requirements in coordination with the Wise Bank management team and leading any banking relationships that the Wise Bank may need to deliver on its business plan.
Independently initiate and execute high priority projects that will deepen Wise’s presence in North America. This includes identifying and communicating internally the potential impact, building conviction from other teams. Consequently, drive and execute the delivery of the project.
A bit about you:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Finance, Law, Accounting, Economics, Business Management.
7+ years work experience with payments companies, transaction/corporate/investment banking, financial technology, financial consulting or a financial regulator.
An independent generalist who is able to get stuff done efficiently and isn’t afraid to get into the details - no matter the subject area - to progress towards your goals. You’ll need an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset to thrive. This includes demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with product, engineering, compliance, operations and legal teams with a solid track record of execution and delivering results.
Detailed understanding of payment systems and FX regulation and experience with BSA/AML/KYC and risk management controls. Experience with US and Canada financial systems, including banking infrastructure, payment rails, regulatory agencies and payment regulations and scheme rules, with the ability to “speak the language” of these topics to senior internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to structure and independently lead external relationships (e.g., banks, regulators, or vendors) and cross-functional projects, including executive-level verbal and written communications, sharp analytical and numerical aptitude and critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply these skills to go-deep on payments/regulatory topics, take thoughtful decisions and then build buy-in for key outcomes and action items with internal and external stakeholders across levels.
Familiarity with how corporate banks, partner banks and financial institutions work and their decision makers. You’re excellent at managing those relationships and are constantly creating opportunities to improve them. You are an outstanding negotiator.
Able to independently negotiate the most ideal terms with a clear product vision and understanding in mind and you can figure out the ideal operational and commercial process with every new partner or system.
Passion for the financial technology, payments and financial services industries and excited to work in a fast-paced, execution-oriented, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.

Senior Regulatory Exams & Audits Manager
We’re looking for a Senior Regulatory Exams & Audits Manager to join our growing North America Regulatory Oversight Compliance team.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and lead our efforts in managing regulatory and financial crime exams, audits, and financial partner compliance reviews, helping ensure Wise remains compliant as we scale.
You’ll also help shape and evolve our second-line compliance framework, providing critical insights to product, operations, and leadership teams, and helping embed compliance into everything we do.

Your mission:
As a Senior Regulatory Exams & Audits Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring Wise's adherence to regulatory requirements, particularly those supporting our regulatory examinations, audits, and financial partner reviews. Your responsibilities will include:
Audit & Examination Program Management: Lead, evolve, and build our exam and audit engagement program to support end-to-end management of all regulatory compliance engagements from preparation through management action plans. Manage all requests for information by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate response.
Engagement Strategy: Develop methodologies and enhancements for delivering high quality responses, communications, and deliverables, aligned with both regulatory requirements and Wise’ mission.
Engagement Reporting: Deliver reporting and insights to senior management to support and anticipate auditors and examiners areas of focus, concern and overall sentiment.
Engagement Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for Northam examinations, audits, and financial partner reviews and represent Wise and our mission to all key stakeholders.
Compliance Framework Development: Support the development and maintenance of Wise's Regulatory Compliance oversight framework, by embedding the Audit & Examination program into the regional Compliance Management System, including the development of all policies and procedures and governance, required for oversight of all exams and audits.
About you:
Previous experiencing managing complex regulatory examinations, audits, and requests;
Robust experience working with regulators and financial partners;
Subject matter expertise in licensing, financial crime, and consumer compliance regulations in the US & Canada (MSBs, Consumer Compliance, etc.);
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience working closely with operational, finance, product, and engineering teams;
Strong ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders such as Product Managers and Engineers, providing practical, actionable, and value added recommendations;
Strong presentation skills;
Problem solving attitude, with the ability to use regulations together with data to drive business decisions;
Familiarity with project management, knowledge management, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools (Confluence, Jira, gSuite, Office, Slack, etc.).
Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively;
Experience (or interest) in working in a fast-growing environment;
Willing to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries; and
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Experience working with international teams and understanding of global regulatory environments.
J.D., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar qualification.
Prior experience working with the CFPB, OCC, and/or state regulators (e.g. NYDFS, CA DFPI).

The role:
The Sales Coordinator function plays a pivotal role in the Sales Enablement team at Wise Platform by supercharging the success of our Commercial org. Sales Coordinators are a key part of the deal-flow process, supporting our Business Development and Account Management teams by managing and enhancing the end to end sales process. The role’s focus is on tasks that increase deal-flow velocity and conversion ratios for partners and increase the capacity of our sales team by creating sales tools and process management. The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Delivery and other teams to enable maximum velocity through our sales cycle.
Your Mission:
For our target accounts you will support BDs in building out our knowledge by creating early stage account plans and stakeholder maps.
You will also support marketing’s initial outreach to these accounts by sharing key stakeholder information and roles.
For our opportunities you will own the project plan which lists out all actions and milestones in the deal-flow with a synopsis of the work streams to be undertaken. Assign action owners (internally and externally) with timelines for completion and hold those owners accountable.
Where needed, support on specific work streams within the opportunity such as providing data analysis on payment routes, creating sales collateral or working through an onboarding flow for a partner.
Drive internal opportunity awareness by managing updates through our communication channels.
Maintain the accuracy of Salesforce by ensuring all deal-flow teams are updating appropriately and in a timely manner.
Contribute towards additional projects that will advance both the Sales Enablement and Sales functions within Wise Platform.

As we continue to grow and scale, we’re looking for an Enterprise Pricing Manager to join our fast growing Pricing team. This will be the team's first pricing role in NAM (Austin). This role will be reporting into the Finance Lead, and will focus on taking the Wise Platform pricing framework to the next level in NAM, by working with teams across Sales, Finance, Product and Operations.
Your mission:
Own the Wise Platform pricing framework for NAM and help take it to the next level as we onboard new partners, launch new products and grow the team across several countries in NAM/
Create strong relationships with the GM of NAM, sales and delivery teams.
Work closely with pricing analytics and wider pricing commercial teams, to ensure unit economics allocation is accurate and reflected in the pricing models accordingly for the NAM region.
Own commercial modelling and discussions for new, and existing, key accounts to ensure that we are pricing sustainably.
Own reprice process across NAM based off of output from Pricing Model
Create pricing controls to ensure contracts shared are within our governance framework.
Support Commercial discussions with Sales teams, to ensure we’re pricing within our pricing framework.
A bit about you
Minimum 7 years experience working in Finance, Pricing or Deal Desk team alongside a large demanding Sales team, that require support on modelling complex deals to understand the relationship between cost and price.
Minimum 7 years experience building commercial models and self-serving tools for sales, to help get to a price and measure the impact of that price.
Strong communication and influencing skills, proven in a fast paced environment.
Experience building visualization dashboards. We use Looker and Superset
