Clinicians don't train for a decade to spend their days on paperwork and prior auths. They do it to treat patients. But across our field, documentation, authorizations, and administrative sprawl pile up until clinicians spend more time on the work around care than on care itself. It is the fastest route to burnout and the main reason great clinicians leave, which ultimately reduces patient’s access to high quality care
As Director, Operational Programs, you own the mandate to change that at Talkiatry. Your job is to give clinicians their time back: find the administrative work weighing them down, take it off their plate, and rebuild it as something faster, standardized, and increasingly automated.
This is a hands-on, deeply cross-functional role. You'll combine clinician feedback, operational data, and a real understanding of clinical workflows to design, pilot, and scale the programs that make Talkiatry the best place in the country to practice psychiatry. You own two vendor-run support programs today, and you'll build the automation and AI roadmap that decides how this work runs tomorrow.
The right person loves the nuts and bolts of a business and is relentless about making them better. You standardize what's manual, automate what's repeatable, and productize what scales. You lead through influence as much as authority. And you measure success by one thing: how much of a clinician's day goes back to patients. You'll report to the VP, Operational Programs.
About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry is transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians. Co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist, we were built to solve one of healthcare’s most urgent challenges: millions of people struggle to access mental health care, while clinicians face growing administrative burden and burnout. Through our technology-powered, in-network platform, we’re changing that, creating a better experience for patients and empowering clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care.
Today, Talkiatry is the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S., with 750+ psychiatrists, 250+ therapists, and more than two million patient visits delivered nationwide. At our scale, every innovation has real impact. Every workflow we improve, every technology solution we build, and every patient experience we redesign helps thousands of clinicians provide better care to hundreds of thousands of patients. We’re not just growing quickly — we’re redefining how behavioral healthcare is delivered in America.
Joining Talkiatry means joining a mission-driven team that is solving complex problems at scale, driving meaningful change in healthcare, and building the future of mental health care with compassion, innovation, and purpose.
You will:
Give clinicians their time back. Use clinician feedback and operational data to find the workflows that create the greatest administrative burden. Design, pilot, and scale solutions that shift the right nonclinical work away from clinicians and back to where it belongs.
Automate and productize the work. Partner with Product and Engineering to redesign, automate, and productize complex operational workflows. Own the automation and AI roadmap for the processes behind care delivery, and push each one from manual to standardized to automated.
Own the clinician support programs end to end. Run the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of two vendor-managed support programs. Set clear service levels, quality standards, escalation paths, and performance expectations for your internal team and your vendors alike.
Drive adoption across the network. Lead the change management that makes programs stick: the communications, training, documentation, and feedback loops that get clinicians actually using what you ship.
Set the standard across service lines. Define what good clinician support looks like across every service line, close the gaps, and find the opportunities to scale.
You have:
Operator, not just a strategist. 5-10 years in healthcare operations, clinician enablement, or process transformation. You like running the nuts and bolts of a business, and you're as comfortable deep in a workflow as you are zoomed out on the system.
Data-driven problem solver. Strong analytical and process-improvement instincts, and you let the data set the priorities. SQL and Excel proficiency required.
Vendor and program management. You've owned outsourced or vendor-run operational programs and held them to real service levels and quality bars, not just activity reports.
Automation and AI fluency. You've taken manual, messy processes and made them standardized, automated, and productized. You know the difference between a one-off fix and a scaled solution, and you've shipped the latter. You also know where AI genuinely helps and where it's a distraction.
Cross-functional leadership through influence. You get work done through teams that don't report to you, across Product, Engineering, Clinical, and the frontline. You earn it through preparation and follow-through, not title.
Motivated by the mission. You care about mental health, clinician wellbeing, and building a practice where clinicians can do their best work.
Why Talkiatry:
Top-notch team: we're a diverse, experienced group motivated to make a difference in mental health care
Collaborative environment: be part of building something from the ground up at a fast-paced startup
Excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, effective day 1 of employment, 401K with match, generous PTO plus paid holidays, paid parental leave, and more!

It all comes back to care: we’re a mental health company, and we put our team’s well-being first

We are rebuilding biotech for the AI era.
When a breakthrough is delayed, the world waits. Getting a molecule from discovery to patients, or a crop from lab to field, involves thousands of slow, manual, disconnected steps. AI has the potential to change this, compressing decades of R&D work into years. But that only happens when clean, structured scientific data and AI are built into how science gets done.
Benchling is the AI platform for biotech R&D. Scientists use Benchling to design experiments, capture structured data, and run AI agents and models directly in their workflows. Over 200,000 scientists around the world trust Benchling to power their most important work, from academic labs to Sanofi, Moderna, and more than half of the world's top 50 biopharma.
We’re building an AI scientist for our customers. We can’t do that if we haven’t built the muscle ourselves. AI fluency is the foundation we build on; it's core to how we work, and we're committed to helping every new hire integrate it into their day-to-day. As part of our interview process, you'll complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion so we can understand how you think about and use AI to drive impact in your role. Feel free to reference any tools, platforms, or workflows you use today.

About Sprinter Health
At Sprinter Health, our mission is reimagining how people access care by bringing it directly to their homes. Nearly 30% of patients in the U.S. skip preventive or chronic care simply because they can’t get to a doctor’s office. For many, the ER becomes their first touchpoint with the healthcare system, driving over $300B in avoidable costs every year.
By using the same technologies that power leading marketplace and last-mile platforms, we deliver care where people are, especially those who need it most. To date, we’ve supported more than 2 million patients across 22+ states, completed hundreds of thousands of in-home visits, and consistently maintained a 90+ NPS. Our team of clinicians, technologists, and operators has raised over $125M from investors including a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations to join our Patient Operations team and help improve the systems that connect patients to the care they need.
This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role for someone who combines structured problem solving with hands-on operational execution. You’ll work closely with the VP of Patient Operations and partner across Clinical Operations, Product, Engineering, and frontline teams to identify where patient workflows are breaking, design practical solutions, test them manually, and help turn what works into scalable systems.
This role is especially well suited to someone who has worked in a healthcare, health-tech, clinical operations, payer/provider, or patient-facing environment and understands that operational details directly affect care delivery. We are looking for someone who can bring both analytical rigor and real-world healthcare operating judgment to problems like appointment completion, patient re-engagement, scheduling workflows, service expansion, and frontline execution.
The right person is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. One day, you may be analyzing appointment completion data and building a case for where to focus. The next, you may be coordinating contractor schedules, re-engaging patients who missed a scheduling window, or running a manual pilot to prove a new workflow before it gets productized.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in consulting, banking, business operations, strategy and operations, or health-tech operations who wants to own meaningful patient operations problems in a fast-growing startup. You should be energized by ambiguity, motivated by patient impact, and comfortable operating without a fully defined playbook.
Office Location
This role is based in our San Francisco office.
We operate on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-anywhere days.
We care deeply about work-life balance and are happy to provide flexibility when life happens. We ask that employees be in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday to collaborate with their teams while maintaining flexibility where it matters most.
Lunch is provided every day, and the entire team takes an hour to eat together. It’s one of the ways we stay connected outside of meetings. You’ll usually find us playing a board game before getting back to work.
What you will do
Own high-priority patient operations initiatives from problem definition through execution, measurement, and iteration
Identify operational bottlenecks that prevent patients from booking, completing, or receiving care
Conduct recurring quality assurance reviews to understand why appointments fail to complete and translate findings into operational fixes
Design and run manual pilots to improve appointment completion, patient re-engagement, scheduling workflows, and service delivery
Develop lightweight models, reports, or analyses to identify appointments or patient segments at higher risk of failure
Scope new partner-requested services end to end, including the operating model, manual execution plan, expected value, and tracking methodology
Roll out proven workflows to frontline teams and monitor performance through regular check-ins, documentation, and feedback loops
Partner with Clinical Operations to ensure workflows support a high-quality patient experience, patient safety, and clinical standards, not just operational throughput
Work with Product and Engineering to translate successful manual workflows into scalable systems and product requirements
Build clear project plans, define milestones, manage stakeholders, and drive cross-functional initiatives to completion
Balance strategic analysis with direct execution when needed, including coordinating schedules, re-engaging patients, or helping frontline teams troubleshoot workflows
Monitor initiative performance using data tools and translate operational data into clear recommendations
Communicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional partners
What you have done
Spent 2–5 years in consulting, banking, business operations, strategy and operations, healthcare operations, health-tech operations, or a similar analytical and execution-oriented role. Pre-IPO health-tech experience strongly preferred.
Worked in a healthcare, health-tech, clinical operations, payer/provider, digital health, or patient-facing operating environment
Worked in a startup, high-growth company, or similarly fast-moving environment
Owned ambiguous problems end to end, translating broad goals into structured plans and measurable outcomes
Used data to diagnose operational issues, prioritize opportunities, and measure whether an initiative worked
Worked cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Clinical, Finance, or frontline teams
Balanced multiple projects at once while maintaining ownership of execution details
Operated effectively with shifting priorities, incomplete information, and imperfect processes
Built clear analyses, project plans, business cases, operating docs, or decision memos
Pulled, manipulated, or analyzed your own data using tools such as SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools, or AI-assisted workflows
Used AI tools to move faster, improve analysis, summarize information, automate workflows, or create operational leverage
Communicated clearly with both senior leaders and frontline operators
What gives you an edge
You have experience in patient operations, clinical operations, care delivery, payer operations, provider operations, care navigation, scheduling, utilization, quality, or other healthcare workflows
You have a consulting or banking background and have since worked in a startup or operating role
You have experience in business operations or strategy and operations at a high-growth health-tech company
You’ve worked at a pre-IPO or high-growth startup, particularly between Series A and Series D
You have experience with marketplace-style operations, scheduling, dispatch, utilization, capacity planning, or 1099 / contractor workforce coordination
You’ve worked with regulated healthcare data, patient workflows, clinical protocols, or PHI-aware operating environments
You are comfortable going deep into the details of a workflow rather than staying only at the strategic level
You have a track record of taking on more scope over time and can point to specific examples where feedback changed how you worked
You naturally pull people together, clarify ownership, and move quickly rather than perfecting an idea alone before sharing it
What makes you successful
You turn ambiguous healthcare operations problems into structured plans and measurable outcomes
You are equally comfortable building a model, writing a memo, running a pilot, and jumping into the workflow yourself
You do not stop at identifying the issue; you help fix it
You use data to focus the team on what matters most, but you also understand what is happening on the ground
You move quickly, learn from imperfect information, and iterate based on results
You build trust with clinical, operational, product, engineering, and frontline teams
You know when to solve something manually first and when it is ready to become a system
You care deeply about the patient experience and understand that operational details directly affect whether people receive care
Day to Day
In this role, you might spend your time:
Reviewing appointment completion data to identify where patients are falling out of the workflow
Running a QA review on failed or incomplete appointments and identifying root causes
Designing a manual pilot to improve booking, re-engagement, scheduling, or completion rates
Building a lightweight model or dashboard to flag high-risk appointments
Partnering with Clinical Operations to refine a workflow before rolling it out to frontline teams
Writing a project plan or operating doc for a new partner-requested service
Coordinating directly with internal teams or contractors to make sure a pilot runs successfully
Turning learnings from a manual process into product requirements for Engineering
Preparing a recommendation for leadership on which operational lever to prioritize next
Communicating progress, blockers, and impact across cross-functional stakeholders
The Interview Process
We aim to complete the interview process within 2–3 weeks. It will usually consist of:
Recruiter Screen: Background fit, motivation, and compensation alignment
Hiring Manager Interview: Operations experience, healthcare exposure, problem-solving approach, and patient operations fit
Case Study / Working Session: Structured problem solving, data fluency, execution judgment, and communication
Cross-Functional Interview: Collaboration style and ability to partner across Product, Clinical Operations, Engineering, and frontline teams
References: Validation of performance, judgment, and working style
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $130,000–$150,000, depending on experience and leveling.
What we offer
Meaningful pre-IPO equity
Medical, dental, and vision plans 100% paid for you and your dependents
Flexible PTO + 10 paid holidays per year
401(k) with match
16-week parental leave policy for birthing parent, 8 weeks for all other parents
HSA + FSA contributions
Life insurance, plus short and long-term disability coverage
Free daily lunch in-office
Annual learning stipend
Relocation assistance

About the Role
We’re looking for an AI Enablement Engineer to help every team at Sprinter build, adopt, and safely scale AI-powered workflows.
This role is about turning AI from a set of tools into a company-wide operating advantage. You’ll work across engineering, operations, clinical, data, finance, and other teams to understand how work actually gets done, identify high-leverage opportunities for AI, and turn those opportunities into practical systems people can use.
You’ll build bespoke agents, internal workflows, reusable templates, prompt and skill libraries, evaluation frameworks, deployment patterns, and training programs that raise AI fluency across the company. You’ll also help teams adopt AI coding assistants, agentic workflows, MCP servers, internal tools, and shared knowledge systems in ways that are useful, measurable, and safe around patient data.
This is a hands-on builder role with a major enablement component. You should be as comfortable writing production-quality Python or TypeScript as you are running a workshop, facilitating office hours, or helping an operations lead understand how AI can improve a manual workflow.
The ideal candidate is a builder, teacher, and systems thinker who measures success by what the whole organization can now do because of the tools, patterns, and examples you created.
Office Location
We are a hybrid company based in the Bay Area with offices in both San Francisco and Menlo Park. We operate on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-anywhere days.

What you will do
