- Properly tracks quantities on a daily basis and reconciles them each month for payment purposes.
- Supports the Quality personnel and the project
- Manages/reviews all foremen's reports daily to ensure all information is properly recorded before any income, cost, or inventory entry.
- Documents all Time and Material operations on a capture sheet and reconciles with the client on a daily basis
- Produces and manages project submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications so all are submitted and approved prior to the start of work.
- Assists the buyout process, writes the requisition, and communicates all required information to the Project Team.
- Produces complete purchase orders after the conditions are approved by the Project Manager.
- Knows the key operational details of the subcontract and holds the subcontractors accountable to their agreement. Attends the subcontractor coordination meetings to provide updates to schedules, drawings, and specifications.
- Establishes excellent working and professional relationships with the clients and their representatives and/or field inspectors.
- Actively participates in the development of the Four Week Look Ahead schedules with the Superintendents using basic logic to incorporate resources, submittals, approvals, lead times, restraints, and milestones.
- Participates in relevant daily huddles to ensure the projects are expeditiously and profitably constructed
- Establishes excellent working and professional relationships with the clients and their representatives and/or field inspectors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Heavy Civil Construction experience is required
- Experience with structures or site civil excavation is preferred
- Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
- Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, P6, HCSS and ERP systems.

An experienced Loader Operator for our Asheboro, NC area projects who can Safely operate equipment.
- Perform documented pre- shift 360 walk-around inspection of the equipment.
- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated equipment.
- Operates straight or an articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from, trucks, storage, or processing areas.

General Position Description:
The Roadway Foreman will direct and manage the construction tasks and activities of craft and labor crews to construct roadways using construction plans to ensure safety, quality, production, and environmental, goals are met. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. The position has direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time and within estimated budget.
This position will primarily perform supervisory duties but may assist with general laborer and equipment operation tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Must maintain NPDES weekly report
- Perform pre-task meetings with the work crew to ensure safe work practices, procedures, and hazards are identified within the scope of the crew’s work assignment. Interpret company policy to workers, enforce safety rules and regulations, and recommend corrective actions when performance and behavioral expectations and standards are not met
- Be familiar with the type of soils on a site and ensure appropriate monitoring of oxygen levels within an enclosed excavation area. Give specific instructions on how to excavate, including at what angle and to what depth the crew should dig. Expected to be highly knowledgeable of reinforcement safety systems needed to be installed on the walls of a deep trench to prevent a cave-in.
- Exercises judgment and uses discretion to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they may arise throughout the course of the work.
- Completes daily Forman Report, tracks, and logs daily payroll records, verifies accuracy, and submits in a timely manner
- Recognize material/tool/equipment requirements based on upcoming activities from drawing take-offs and layout work. Interpret blueprint specifications and job orders and assists workers in solving job site problems. Understanding plans, specifications, elevations, grades, and grade checks. Must be able to interpret grades and pave requirements. Thorough understanding of all base and grading equipment and processes.
- Supervise work crew develop work schedules and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions. Check employee’s time sheets for accurate and cost coding and attendance. Ensure new employees are orientated to the job site for safety requirements and tool location. Maintains responsibility for tracking and maintaining tools.
- Assign work tasks provide on-site instruction on work processes and procedures and inspect work for compliance with plans and specifications. Able to access work aptitude and ethics for new hires. Coordinate work schedules with other foremen and inspect materials. Operates power equipment and other machinery as needed and performs all tasks of workers in the crew as required.
- Trains employees on proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project.
- Receive instructions and specifications from General Foremen and Superintendents and transmit them to other members of the crew and interface with project and field engineers and subcontractors as needed to carry out identified tasks and work orders.
- Act as the first point of contact in the superintendent’s absence including interfacing with inspectors, EPA, OSHA, or any on-site visitors. Participate in subcontractors and safety meetings, recognize, correct, and report safety hazards, and halt unsafe work practices.
- Actively participates in the development of the Four Week Look Ahead schedules with the Superintendents.

Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of Supervisory experience in grading, finishing Slopes and Ditches and/or highway work is required.
- Experience with NCDOT projects and NCDOT Level II EC Certification a plus.
- Candidate must have experience with Trimble / Topcon GPS.

The Administrative Assistant supports the Equipment Division by providing accurate and timely administrative, financial, and operational support. This role is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining equipment-related documentation, supporting fleet operations, and ensuring data integrity within company systems. Accounts Payable & Financial Support
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Assign proper coding to invoices in accordance with company and project requirements
- Perform data entry and maintain records within the COINS, Tenna and other systems as needed

Fleet & Equipment Support

- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor and safely apply all techniques of highway construction to include but not limited to:

- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor and safely apply all techniques of highway construction including but not limited to:
- Assist in the construction activities of the project
- Load or unload structure materials from trucks, move materials in work areas, take delivery of materials from suppliers, and perform safe material handling and storage
- Maintain a clean job site by removing debris and trash, picking up all tools and equipment, and securing the site to eliminate potential hazards
- Pick & shovel, hammer & nails, concrete placing & finishing, etc.
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools, cut pipes to required lengths slide pipe into trenches, and inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications.
- Erosion Control experience preferred.
- Receiving and stocking of materials
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of all materials
- Quality control for the scope of work
- Maintain tools used for installation in proper working condition
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring concerns to the attention of the foreman, superintendent, or safety manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Some knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on heavy civil construction projects
- Work requires that employees be able to work in a heavy construction environment, which includes working outdoors and in and around construction equipment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in such an environment with the provided safety equipment and safe work practices.
- Up to 100% of the job may include heavy physical work, heavy lifting, and pushing or pulling of material that may weigh from 50 to 100 pounds
- The position requires the individual to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions or confined spaces throughout the day
- The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Provide personal transportation to and from the job site
