WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion is looking for a Head of Demand Engine to build the engine that turns our best product stories, customer proof, and market opportunities into scaled pipeline. You’ll lead demand programs across campaigns, digital, paid strategy, webinars, email, web, and emerging channels. You’ll partner closely with Product Marketing on audience and offer strategy, with Performance Marketing on paid execution, and with Field Marketing & Events on the moments that benefit from in-person activation.
This is a senior leadership role with both AMER and global scope. You’ll help set the global standard for how Notion plans, runs, tests, and measures demand programs, while learning from strong regional teams and making the best ideas repeatable across markets. You’ll lead a growing team spanning demand programs and digital demand, with room to expand into areas like partner marketing over time.
This is a build job as much as a run job. We’re looking for someone with real taste who can spot a strong idea, turn it into a sharp program, and build a repeatable engine around what works. You should care about quality and craft, but also love testing, data, systems, and execution. The opportunity is to modernize demand generation at one of the companies defining how teams work with AI.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the demand programs strategy, calendar, and operating rhythm across priority audiences, segments, and offers.
- Turn strong product stories, content, customer proof, and market opportunities into integrated programs that can scale across channels and regions.
- Build a high-velocity testing practice. Set a high bar for creative and execution, learn quickly, and put more weight behind what works.
- Serve as the global point person for paid digital demand strategy. Define the audiences, offers, creative, programs, and goals, then partner closely with Performance Marketing on execution and optimization.
- Lead digital demand across webinars, email, web, review sites, nurture, and new formats, creating new programs where the strategy calls for them.
- Partner with Marketing Ops and RevOps to build a trusted global approach to marketing ROI, attribution, forecasting, MQA/MQL methodology, and campaign reporting.
- Work closely with Enterprise Product Marketing on audience, offer, and campaign strategy, and with Field Marketing & Events on coordinated execution.
- Help build our muscle in account-based marketing and partner marketing as those motions develop.
- Be a trusted partner to Sales and executive leadership. Bring a clear point of view, make the numbers legible, and advocate for what will have the most impact.
- Hire, coach, and lead a strong team across demand programs and digital demand.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A track record of building and scaling B2B demand programs that create qualified pipeline.
- Strong judgment and taste. You can point to specific programs that worked because the audience, offer, creative, and execution were sharp.
- Deep digital demand experience across paid strategy, email, web, webinars, nurture, and integrated campaigns.
- A testing mindset and the operating discipline to turn learnings into repeatable programs, systems, and investment decisions.
- Comfort with data. You can work closely with Marketing Ops and RevOps on attribution, reporting, forecasting, and ROI, and translate the numbers into clear action.
- Executive presence. You earn trust with Sales and company leaders, hold a strong point of view, and are comfortable making hard calls.
- Experience leading and developing strong teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience operating across regions, or genuine curiosity and appetite to build globally.
- Comfort with ambiguity. This model is still being written, and you’ll help write it.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience building account-based marketing programs.
- Experience with partner or ecosystem marketing.
- Experience working across both product-led and sales-assisted growth motions.
WHY THIS ROLE
This is one of the most visible, highest-impact seats in Notion’s marketing org. You’ll have the mandate to build the demand engine, shape how we measure marketing ROI globally, and work directly with Sales, RevOps, company leaders, and regional marketing teams.
The playbook for B2B demand generation is changing. Buyers expect better content and experiences, AI is reshaping how programs get built, and old attribution models are under pressure. If you want to apply what already works, challenge what doesn’t, and help define a more modern model, this is the job.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $245,000 – $275,000 per year.

They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is looking for a Recruiting Program Manager to help design, build, and scale the systems and programs that power how we hire. This is a role for someone who moves fast, takes ownership, and doesn't wait to be told what to do — someone who operates with both strategic altitude and operational precision, and knows how to bring clarity and momentum to complex cross-functional work.
We're at an inflection point in how we think about recruiting at Notion, and this role sits at the center of it. You'll partner closely with Recruiters, Recruiting Operations, People Operations, and senior leadership to drive some of our highest-priority initiatives — building the programs and processes that define how Notion finds, evaluates, and brings in exceptional talent.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- The scope of this role will evolve with the team's highest priorities. Some examples of what you might work on:
- Interviewer systems and efficacy — design the systems, structures, and standards that make Notion's interviewing reliably great: how we train interviewers, how we measure their effectiveness, how we calibrate quality over time, and how we continuously raise the bar; this includes programs like Interviewer 101, Hiring Manager Training, and functional interviewer certifications tailored to specific teams
- Interviewer pool health — own the systems and strategy behind how we maintain a healthy, well-mapped interviewer pool, manage AI and experimental interview formats, and keep quality high at scale
- Recruiting team onboarding and enablement — build and run programs that get new recruiters up to speed quickly and keep the team operating at a high level
- Specialty hiring programs — provide program management support for specialized hiring motions like internal mobility, M&A integration, and other high-priority strategic initiatives
- Cross-functional playbooks and infrastructure — build the processes, communications, and coordination frameworks that help Recruiting run with more consistency, clarity, and scale
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in program management, recruiting operations, or a highly cross-functional role in a fast-moving environment
- High agency — you move fast, take ownership end-to-end, and don't wait for perfect information or explicit direction to get started. Ambiguity doesn't scare you.
- Builder mentality — you're most energized when creating something new or improving something that doesn't yet work well
- Strong AI skills — think beyond generative AI. We're looking for folks with hands-on experience building custom agents, skills, etc and have taught them to others. You're genuinely excited about using AI to change how a core business function works
- Strong project management skills — you can lead complex initiatives from scoping through execution, managing stakeholders, timelines, and competing priorities along the way; you're equally comfortable driving short-term sprints and stewarding long-range programs that evolve over months or years
- Proven ability to operate with discretion and high judgment on sensitive or high-profile work
- Strong analytical instincts — you use data to evaluate program health, spot patterns, and make informed decisions
- Outstanding written and verbal communication — you tailor your message to the audience and create clarity across all levels of the organization
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with recruiting program management workstreams through different stages of recruiting evolution
- You use Notion and love it — you get what we're building

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re seeking an experienced UX Researcher to define and scale how we evaluate Notion’s AI-powered experiences—focusing on what “good” looks like not only for model output quality, but for the end-to-end product experience where people discover, set goals, delegate work, review results, and build trust over time with AI.
This role sits at the intersection of research craft and evaluation operations: you’ll run studies that uncover user mental models, expectations, and failure/recovery behaviors, then translate those insights into reusable rubrics, workflows, and measurement approaches that product, design, engineering, and data science can apply consistently.
- Define what “good” looks like (frameworks & rubrics): Establish clear, reusable evaluation criteria that reflect real user expectations—helpfulness, trust, tone, control, and transparency. You’ll translate qualitative insight into scoring guidance that can be applied consistently across teams and over time.
- Run recurring evals (longitudinal & feature-specific): Run recurring longitudinal and feature-specific surveys and studies to measure experience quality over time against defined rubrics. Lead qualitative studies, side-by-side comparisons, and human-in-the-loop evaluation efforts to deepen understanding of where experiences break down and how they can improve. You’ll help teams spot regressions, benchmark improvements, and understand when expectations shift.
- Anchor evaluation in real workflows (context > isolated feedback): Ensure evals reflect jobs-to-be-done, user intent, and the full interaction journey (goal setting, delegation, review, iteration), not just decontextualized thumbs up/down. You’ll help teams understand who is evaluating, what they’re trying to do, and why outputs succeed or fail.
- Identify failure modes & recovery behavior (guardrails): Uncover breakdowns, regressions, and edge cases across the system—from model behavior to UI and integrations—and study how people notice issues, correct them, and continue their work. You’ll turn these insights into actionable guidance for guardrails, fixes, and prioritization.
- Operationalize evaluation with partners (process & tooling): Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Science to align on target use cases and build scalable evaluation loops (human-in-the-loop review, longitudinal studies, and calibration of automated/LLM-judge approaches against human judgment).
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Ability to operationalize insight into measurement: You’re comfortable turning “soft” user expectations (trust, tone, usefulness, clarity) into concrete rubrics, scoring guidelines, and observable metrics.
- AI fluency and systems thinking: You’re curious and hands-on with AI products, and can reason about how model behavior, uncertainty, and system constraints shape user experience. You also have experience evaluating AI-enabled products (LLMs, agents, generative UI/workflow automation) and working with Data Science/ML partners on measurement strategy and evaluation tooling.
- Clear communication and impact orientation: You can align diverse partners around shared definitions of quality and create artifacts that enable teams to act consistently. You tailor storytelling to different audiences, connect research to business outcomes, and drive follow-through so insights translate into product change.
- Strong UX research craft (quant + qual): You can choose the right methods for the question— interviews, benchmarking, surveys, experiments—and synthesize into actionable guidance. You also can prioritize ruthlessly, work through ambiguity, and balance scrappy iteration with deep dives when needed.
- Pragmatism in fast-moving environments: You can prioritize ruthlessly, work through ambiguity, and balance scrappy iteration with deep dives when needed.
- Experience: 5+ years doing UX research in industry
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with LLM-as-judge methods, prompt design for evaluators, or “golden dataset” creation
- Experience using AI research tooling for rapid synthesis and communication (e.g., Dovetail, Listen Labs, Maze, Outset, etc.), as well as AI observability tooling like Braintrust
- Experience using data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
- Master’s or PhD in HCI, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field
- You’re familiar with the work of computing heroes like Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, Bret Victor, etc. — and understand why we're big fans.

From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re seeking a Rolling User Researcher (Rolling UXR) to deliver fast, high-signal insights that improve Notion’s product experiences across Product, Design, and Engineering (EPD)—including AI-powered workflows like Notion custom agents and chat. This is a tactical, high-velocity role: you’ll run lightweight usability and concept tests on a steady cadence, identify what’s not working, and help teams translate feedback into concrete product changes. Besides conducting research, you’ll also build and scale a program that makes it easy for product teams to submit testing requests and easy for you to recruit participants, along with a prioritization framework that helps you focus on the most important work.
This role is ideal for a researcher who loves the craft of moderated testing, can context-switch across many teams, and thrives in a “many small studies” model.
- End-to-end tactical research: Scope, design, and execute quick-turn research across the product lifecycle—delivering clear recommendations that drive product decisions, including
- Rolling usability testing: Plan and moderate rapid usability tests on prototypes and in-product flows; identify friction, comprehension gaps, and failure points; recommend practical fixes and prototype them with AI.
- Concept testing: Help teams evaluate early ideas (storyboards, low/high-fidelity prototypes, new IA) to understand desirability, comprehension, and expected workflows—before teams invest heavily in build.
- Research pipeline ownership: Keep an always-on motion healthy by managing intake/prioritization, study cadence, participant recruitment, and consistent output formats so partners know what to expect and can act quickly.
- Communication: Deliver crisp, actionable recommendation (severity, confidence, recommended next steps) in the right format for the audience—async write-ups, clips, or working sessions.
- Business-minded impact: Connect findings to outcomes—why an issue matters, what to change, and what to watch—then follow through with teams to ensure improvements land.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Research craft: You can independently run usability and/or concept tests end-to-end (scoping → protocol → moderation → synthesis → readout), and you know how to keep scope tight while preserving rigor. You’re also comfortable using AI thoughtfully to speed up prep/synthesis while maintaining quality and traceability to evidence.
- AI fluency: You’re curious and hands-on with AI products and can translate concepts, like trust, usefulness, tone, safety, and clarity, into observable behaviors and research questions.
- Pragmatism + speed: You excel at prioritizing in fast-moving environments, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can deliver quality research quickly with transparent limitations.
- Systems thinking: You can quickly understand complex user journeys and identify where experiences break down across the system—from inputs, to product behavior, to UI patterns.
- Communication: You write clearly, facilitate effectively, and can translate messy data into decisions and next steps for busy EPD partners.
- Collaboration: You’re comfortable working across many stakeholders and switching context quickly without dropping details.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on UX research experience (industry, agency, or equivalent)
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with AI-enabled product experiences (e.g., assistants/agents) and how to evaluate workflow success, user expectations, and trust.
- Comfort collaborating on research-operations basics (recruiting, scheduling, etc.) to keep a rolling cadence healthy.
- Background in UX design, engineering, or similar.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
