Financial Data Sales Associate, EMEA
Remote, Global
Apply
The financial industry is growing at a record pace, but our data providers are still stuck in the past — with cumbersome onboarding processes, complicated APIs, slow infrastructure, and expensive licensing costs.
Databento is the market data platform for modern finance. The company provides real-time and historical data across futures, options, and equities through a unified API. By owning the entire market data stack end-to-end, Databento is the first platform of its kind to combine the performance and reliability demanded by the world's leading trading firms with a dramatically simpler developer experience. Our team includes alumni of Two Sigma, Citadel Securities, Flow Traders, Tower Research, PDT Partners, SIG, and other top quantitative firms.
We accommodate 100% remote work, with teammates living around the globe and paid in their local currency.
Responsibilities
As a Financial Data Sales Associate based in the EMEA region, you will oversee the full scope of sales at Databento. This includes the following:
Own the technical sales process, from answering technical customer inquiries and providing data samples to solving data-related issues that our customers raise.
Create common examples and use-cases with market data, with examples in Python, C++, and/or Rust.
Gather customer feedback, testimonials, case studies, and more.
Establish and maintain accurate, timely, and documented forecasting and record-keeping procedures, keeping our CRM up-to-date and organized.
Build a network of executive relationships across the industry and with key partners and customers.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Collaborate across teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate has experienced the end-to-end sales pipeline, including top-of-funnel, upselling, channel sales, customer success, and forecasting. Below are other skills that we look for:
Understand and communicate with our user base of developers and quants.
Experience with quant trading and market microstructure.
Extreme attention to detail and record-keeping, as well as the ability to automate processes in HubSpot.
Professional communication skills that align with the tone of an institutional financial product.
White-glove management of the sales cycle with continual buy-in from the customer, discovering the user's pain points, signs of friction, being honest when our product isn't the best fit, not being too pushy or salesy, and knowing when to continue vs. back off.
Readiness to work within a startup environment with limited resources and personnel.
As a bonus: Active usage of GitHub, knowledge of enough C++, Python, and/or Rust to help answer client inquiries.

Listed by Databento for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.
Altis is a venture intelligence platform that helps investors make faster, better decisions on Series A/B/C companies. We identify the key debates that should drive an investment committee decision, then build out the bull and bear cases through primary research: interviews with customers, competitors, former employees, and domain experts.
We're backed by Primary Venture Partners, co-founded by a Midas-list VC investor, and building the research team from the ground up.
About The Role
You'll run workstreams within our AI sector pod: conducting expert interviews, building analysis, and contributing to reports that go directly to investment decision-makers. You'll work alongside a Sector Lead and help shape how we approach diligence in AI.
This is a role for someone who wants to go deeper on fewer things rather than wider on many. You'll develop real expertise and ownership of emerging AI spaces.
You'll report to our Founding CRO (ex-McKinsey, ex-Growth Investor). The CEO is a former BCG Managing Director & Partner. This is a small team of people who've done this work at the highest level. You'll learn fast.
About You
2-4 years of experience in management consulting (MBB or equivalent), investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
Done deal-level or project-level diligence and can run analysis end-to-end without heavy direction
Genuine curiosity about AI companies and how the technology is reshaping industries. You want to develop real depth in the space, not rotate through random sectors every few months.
Liked the best parts of consulting (intellectual stimulation, working in teams, learning from senior people) and want to keep those. You're ready to leave behind the travel, the pointless fire drills, and the clients who don't act on the work.
Comfort on the phone with executives, customers, and domain experts. Primary research is the core of what we do.
You Want
$160K - $210K base compensation
Meaningful ownership from day 1 - pre-Series A stock options struck at today's early-stage valuation, so you share directly in the upside you help build
100% employer-paid benefits
New York City, in-office 4-5 days/week (27th and Park Ave)
Founding-stage team with clear advancement path
Listed by Altis for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.
Altis is a venture intelligence platform that helps investors make faster, better decisions on Series A/B/C companies. We conduct deep primary research (expert interviews with customers, competitors, and industry specialists) to build the analysis that drives investment committee decisions.
We're backed by Primary Venture Partners, co-founded by a Midas-list investor, and building a structured analyst program modeled on the intellectual range and apprenticeship found at top management consulting firms.
About The Role
This is a 2-year program designed to be one of the best analytical training grounds available. You'll support research pods across sectors: conducting interviews, building models, synthesizing findings, and contributing to reports that go directly to investors evaluating Series A+ opportunities.
Top performers advance into senior roles. You'll leave with real expertise in Venture Capital, a network of industry contacts, and equity in a company you helped build.
You'll be mentored by Sector Leads and a Founding CRO (ex-McKinsey, ex-Growth Investor). The CEO is a former BCG Partner. You won't be buried in a back office. You'll work directly with senior people who've led diligence at the top firms.
About You
Graduated recently or have up to 2 years of professional experience in Consulting, Banking, or expert networks
A strong quantitative and analytical foundation. You're the person who digs until the answer makes sense.
Genuine curiosity about AI, technology, and what makes companies succeed or fail
An appetite for the things that make consulting and banking attractive (intellectual challenge, structured mentorship, working on high-stakes problems); don't worry we skipped the constant travel, grinding on decks at 2am for a client who won't read them
Clear communication skills. You can synthesize complexity into something a decision-maker can act on.
You Want
$100K - $130K base compensation
Meaningful ownership from day 1 - pre-Series A stock options struck at today's early-stage valuation, so you share directly in the upside you help build
100% employer-paid health benefits
New York City, in-office 4-5 days/week (27th and Park Ave)
Structured 2-year program with defined advancement paths
Listed by Altis for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.
Altis is building the shared intelligence infrastructure venture capital has been missing — one that moves fast, sets the bar on quality, and helps top investors rise above the noise. We deliver institutional-grade diligence on Series A+ companies through decision-grade reports centered on the 3–5 Key Debates that matter. Backed by Primary Venture Partners and founded by operators from BCG, McKinsey, and top-tier venture, we combine expert human judgment with frontier AI.
Our small, high-ownership Platform Engineering team owns the full-stack systems and agentic workflows that power how diligence is delivered, consumed, queried, and acted upon at scale. We’re looking for a full-stack AI engineer who ships production-grade intelligence platforms at 5-10× velocity.
In this role, you will:
Own end-to-end full-stack features across React/Next.js/TypeScript frontends, APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and observability that power report delivery, interactive Key Debates, search, subscriptions, and personalization.
Build scalable UI component libraries and design systems used daily by researchers, sector leads, and VC customers.
Ship AI-native diligence experiences: natural-language query interfaces, agentic synthesis tools, RAG-powered evidence finders, dynamic Bull/Bear explorers, and intelligent summarization that surfaces what actually matters for investment decisions.
Leverage frontier AI models and tools daily to prototype, code-review, generate tests, and iterate at extreme speed — turning ambiguous needs into production code in hours (including heavy daily use of assistants like Claude Code and Cursor).
Partner with analysts, sector directors, founders, and customers to translate complex market and founder analysis into clear, trustworthy experiences.
Define architecture standards and tooling so the platform remains reliable and built for power users making million- and billion-dollar decisions.
You might thrive in this role if you:
Are an AI-native engineer who lives and breathes frontier models and ships production features faster than most teams.
Have strong full-stack experience (React/Next.js/TypeScript + backend) and have shipped complex, data-rich platforms in enterprise SaaS, finance, research, or intelligence products.
Love turning dense, high-stakes information into elegant, AI-augmented interfaces that sophisticated users love.
Excel at rapid iteration in ambiguous, high-ownership environments where accuracy is non-negotiable.
Share our obsession with quality and building infrastructure that matures an entire asset class.
We are a tight-knit, in-person team in New York City. If you’re excited to build the diligence layer venture capital has always needed — powered by the best of human expertise and frontier AI — we’d love to talk.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in systems programming using C/C++.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent practical experience.
Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including:
Replication and consensus
Transactions and consistency models
Fault tolerance and recovery
Experience working on storage engines, databases, or other infrastructure-level systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, distributed team environment
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems, transactional engines, or consensus protocols.
Familiarity with LSM-tree based storage engines, WALs, snapshots, or compaction strategies.
Experience with PostgreSQL internals or other relational database engines is a strong plus.
Prior contributions to open-source systems or database projects.
We work in a hybrid model, with the team together in our Sunnyvale office 2–3 days per week.

The cash compensation for this role is market competitive, with a range of USD 150,000 - USD 250,000, inclusive of variable/incentive for some roles. As well as equity (when applicable), and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, and unlimited paid time off (PTO). The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The actual pay will vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, and skill level.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
