About Altis
Altis is a venture intelligence platform that helps investors make faster, better decisions on Series A/B/C companies. We conduct deep primary research — expert interviews with customers, competitors, and industry specialists — to build the analysis that drives investment committee decisions.
We’re backed by Primary Venture Partners, co-founded by a Midas-list investor, and scaling quickly. We’re a lean, high-ownership team building from the ground up. If you want to be close to the action in venture and learn how the best investors and operators think, this is the role.
About the Role
The Network & Client Services team is the engine of the Altis research process. As an Associate, you’ll identify, engage, and recruit industry experts whose insights help fuel our research and help clients uncover information they cannot access elsewhere. This is a frontline role: you’ll be on the phone and in your inbox daily, building relationships with some of the most interesting people across the fastest-growing, AI-native startups in the world. You won’t be filing reports. You’ll be building a network.
What We’re Looking For
You’re early in your career but not early in your ambition. You’ve spent 1–3 years in a role that required you to hustle — sales, business development, recruiting, consulting, or something in between. You know how to pick up the phone, take initiative, and follow through. You’ll thrive here if you:
Are energized by working toward goals on a tight timeline
Can quickly earn trust with sophisticated, high-caliber professionals
Are naturally curious about AI, startups, and venture capital, and want to understand the ecosystem deeply
Operate with urgency and take ownership of outcomes, not just activity
Are organized enough to manage a pipeline without losing the human side of relationship building
Bring humility and an eagerness to learn
What You’ll Do
Source and identify industry experts whose backgrounds match the needs of each research project
Run high-volume outreach by phone and email to engage and recruit experts on tight timelines
Qualify experts and schedule them into client conversations, managing logistics end to end
Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, keeping follow-through tight so opportunities don’t go cold
Build lasting relationships with experts so they return for future research
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in a client-facing or outbound role (investment research, expert networks, recruiting, BD, or similar)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Track record of hitting targets in a metrics-driven environment
Bachelor’s degree
Authorization to work in the United States
Bonus points for:
Experience managing external stakeholders in prior roles
Familiarity with expert network or knowledge services businesses (AlphaSights, GLG, Tegus, etc.)
Existing relationships in VC, PE, or operator communities
Compensation & Benefits
$110,000-$130,000 on target earnings
Meaningful ownership from day 1 - pre-Series A stock options struck at today's early-stage valuation, so you share directly in the upside you help build

Sector Director - AI
About Altis
Altis is a venture intelligence platform that helps investors make faster, better decisions on Series A/B/C companies. We identify the key debates that should drive an investment committee decision, then build out the bull and bear cases through primary research: interviews with customers, competitors, former employees, and domain experts.
We're backed by Primary Venture Partners, co-founded by a Midas-list VC investor, and building the research team from the ground up.
About The Role
You'll run workstreams within our AI sector pod: conducting expert interviews, building analysis, and contributing to reports that go directly to investment decision-makers. You'll work alongside a Sector Lead and help shape how we approach diligence in AI.
This is a role for someone who wants to go deeper on fewer things rather than wider on many. You'll develop real expertise and ownership of emerging AI spaces.
You'll report to our Founding CRO (ex-McKinsey, ex-Growth Investor). The CEO is a former BCG Managing Director & Partner. This is a small team of people who've done this work at the highest level. You'll learn fast.
About You
2-4 years of experience in management consulting (MBB or equivalent), investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
Done deal-level or project-level diligence and can run analysis end-to-end without heavy direction
Genuine curiosity about AI companies and how the technology is reshaping industries. You want to develop real depth in the space, not rotate through random sectors every few months.
Liked the best parts of consulting (intellectual stimulation, working in teams, learning from senior people) and want to keep those. You're ready to leave behind the travel, the pointless fire drills, and the clients who don't act on the work.
Comfort on the phone with executives, customers, and domain experts. Primary research is the core of what we do.
You Want
$160K - $210K base compensation
Meaningful ownership from day 1 - pre-Series A stock options struck at today's early-stage valuation, so you share directly in the upside you help build
100% employer-paid benefits
New York City, in-office 4-5 days/week (27th and Park Ave)
Founding-stage team with clear advancement path

We're backed by Primary Venture Partners, co-founded by a Midas-list investor, and building a structured analyst program modeled on the intellectual range and apprenticeship found at top management consulting firms.
About The Role
This is a 2-year program designed to be one of the best analytical training grounds available. You'll support research pods across sectors: conducting interviews, building models, synthesizing findings, and contributing to reports that go directly to investors evaluating Series A+ opportunities.
Top performers advance into senior roles. You'll leave with real expertise in Venture Capital, a network of industry contacts, and equity in a company you helped build.
You'll be mentored by Sector Leads and a Founding CRO (ex-McKinsey, ex-Growth Investor). The CEO is a former BCG Partner. You won't be buried in a back office. You'll work directly with senior people who've led diligence at the top firms.
About You
Graduated recently or have up to 2 years of professional experience in Consulting, Banking, or expert networks
A strong quantitative and analytical foundation. You're the person who digs until the answer makes sense.
Genuine curiosity about AI, technology, and what makes companies succeed or fail
An appetite for the things that make consulting and banking attractive (intellectual challenge, structured mentorship, working on high-stakes problems); don't worry we skipped the constant travel, grinding on decks at 2am for a client who won't read them
Clear communication skills. You can synthesize complexity into something a decision-maker can act on.
