POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic EVA Principal Systems Engineer who will primarily be responsible for leading major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System. This position reports to EVA Systems Engineering and Integration Manager. This role is onsite at Axiom in Webster, Texas.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities may include tasks from one or all of these responsibility areas:
End-to-end, cradle-to-grave Systems Engineering for Axiom EVA Systems, including Suits, Flight Support Equipment, Training Equipment, Ground Equipment, and EVA Tools.
Responsible for Axiom EVA Systems conception, including 1) concept of operations, functions, and interfaces, 2) subsystem-level requirements, 3) procurement specifications, including synthesis, traceability, derivation, stakeholder needs, impact assessments, and requirements maintenance and updates.
Responsible for definition, planning, coordination and closure for verification of EVA requirements.
Responsible for definition, planning, coordination and closure for validation activities of Axiom EVA concepts of operations.
Define and implement requirements and design validation activities.
Coordinate Axiom EVA system product breakdown structures and architecture definition.
Support Axiom EVA Systems development by providing down-and-in system and subsystem-level support and information, including change impacts to/from other areas of the AxEVA System.
Define and maintain System and Subsystem integrated performance assessments.
Monitor design and testing progress and communicate potential issues to SE&I.
Develop waivers and other variances
Communicate AxEVA System Engineering and Integration progress and status.
Collaborate with system and subsystem engineer, program office personnel, and external customers for SE&I planning, scheduling, and execution.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Coordinate integrated Verification & Validation (V&V test plans, procedures, and schedules) across all engineering teams.
Plan, coordinate, and implement spacesuit verification and validation activities, including:
Defining system, subsystem, and component V&V approaches
Defining V&V requirements
Planning and coordinating implementation of V&V activities
Define and coordinate V&V requirements for suppliers as part of the integrated V&V plan.
Collaborate with AxEVA System and subsystem engineers, program office personnel, and customers for V&V planning, scheduling and execution.
Coordinate test and analysis plans and presentations with peers, management, and external customers and partners.
Capture evidence from completed V&V activities to create verification closure notices and coordinate requirement close-out.
Perform other systems engineering tasks as necessary.

Level II
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (ABET-accredited preferred), required across all levels.

4-9 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level IV

POSITION SUMMARY Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Software Systems Engineer to support our Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX. This individual will own the definition, integration, and verification of software systems supporting space operations and station infrastructure, spanning requirements, architecture, and interface work across the full software development lifecycle. The role operates within a standards-driven, MBSE-based development environment alongside multidisciplinary hardware, software, and avionics teams, and requires strong systems thinking, clear cross-disciplinary communication, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Author software and system requirements (functional, performance, safety, cybersecurity, interface) using a model-based requirements approach Maintain bidirectional requirements traceability across the full lifecycle: ConOps → system → software → design → test Lead requirements reviews, change control boards, and impact assessments Define interfaces (ICDs), message schemas, timing budgets, and failure behaviors Participate in software architecture trades: partitioning, redundancy, data flows, and modes/states Collaborate with avionics, network, FPGA, and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end system integration Plan and author verification methods (test, analysis, inspection, demonstration) and define testable acceptance criteria Support integration activities across SIL/HIL environments, benches, labs, and flight/field test readiness Support safety analyses and derived requirements, including hazard analysis, fault response, and criticality/DAL determinations Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle Perform additional job duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, who will primarily be supporting design, development, test, and evaluation of structural and mechanical components of the first commercial space station. This position reports to the Senior Manager – Structures & Mechanisms and will be based onsite and will be based at our Space Station Development Facility (SSDF) in Webster, Texas. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Own all aspects of the design, development, test, and evaluation of the structural and mechanical components that make up the commercial space station systems. Execute the engineering product lifecycle, holding regular design review. Onboard new customer requests, develop requirements and design criteria. Perform preliminary analysis using free-body diagrams, hand calculations & FEA. Deliver high-quality, peer reviewable, models, documentation, and drawings in a fast-paced environment. Oversee manufacturing and assembly of hardware. Effective Communication: present findings and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Support collaboration: Peer review other engineer’s work. Leadership: You will be required to support and mentor junior engineers Must be able to work onsite at our Houston based office. Education & Experience Multiple openings at various levels, minimum of at least 2 years professional work experience. Salary is commensurate on skills level and years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or related field required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant experience in mechanical engineering applied to mechanisms, mechatronics in aeronautical and space, automotive or robotics engineering field. Strong knowledge of static & dynamics, structural analysis, fracture control, fatigue, thermal effects, materials & lubrication. Demonstrated product development from initial concept to manufacturing, including requirements writing, risk reduction through verification and validation strategies. Experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling software or similar computer aided design tool. Experience with FEA software packages (Ansys, Nastran preferred) and MathWorks MATLAB & Simulink products. Experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y-14.5. Experience with Design for manufacturing, qualification & acceptance testing. Experience in functional management and mentoring. Background with Spaceflight hardware design & NASA standards preferred. Show a track record of providing efficient solutions to difficult technical challenges. Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results.
