Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Achieving this mission requires secure, resilient, and highly available infrastructure that can scale from early-stage development to full commercial operations. Joining Fervo means operating at the intersection of energy infrastructure and modern enterprise systems—where reliability, safety, and disciplined execution are foundational. Build and own Fervo’s physical network infrastructure program—from outside-plant fiber to building cabling—supporting geothermal operations, enterprise connectivity, and fiber optic sensing. The Senior Telecommunications Engineer owns physical network planning, design, records, and acceptance: outside plant (OSP) fiber, inside plant (ISP) fiber and structured copper cabling, pathways, telecommunications rooms, racks, cabinets, and passive connectivity. Fervo’s sole dedicated specialist builds the records program and is the single accountable owner of the enterprise fiber record across IT, operational technology and instrumentation and controls (OT/I&C), and sensing. No fiber is planned, built, spliced, or repurposed without its record being updated. This senior individual contributor leads physical-layer design and contractor oversight and resolves field issues. Network engineers own layers 2–7, including switching, routing, segmentation, and configuration; system owners define device functionality. The role reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager and is based in Salt Lake City, UT, or Houston, TX. Travel averages 30%, with significant field presence during construction.

Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Delivering on this mission requires operational excellence across every function — including the forecasting, resource, and economic evaluation processes that translate subsurface performance into the capital plans and financial disclosures that guide the company as we scale. Joining Fervo as a Reservoir Engineer focused on production forecasting and resource evaluation means owning the link between subsurface performance and corporate planning. This role builds and maintains production forecasts for long-term planning, supports Corporate Finance with technical inputs for budgeting, financing, and investor materials, and leads economic evaluations and resource reporting across the portfolio. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys translating complex subsurface data into clear, defensible numbers that inform capital allocation and company-level decisions. The Reservoir Engineer will build and maintain portfolio-wide production forecasts, lead economic evaluations of development scenarios and capital projects, and own recoverable resource estimates. This role emphasizes forecast rigor, financial fluency, and clear communication of subsurface uncertainty to non-technical stakeholders. The position collaborates closely with Corporate Finance, Reservoir, Development, and Executive teams to translate subsurface performance into the forecasts, valuations, and resource recovery used for long-term planning and corporate decision-making.

Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Delivering on this mission requires operational excellence across every function — including the reservoir models and calibration workflows that translate field data into a predictive understanding of how our fractured geothermal reservoirs behave. Joining Fervo as a Reservoir Engineer focused on reservoir modeling and history matching means owning the calibration of our subsurface models against real field performance — both the stimulation fracture growth created during completions and the production and pressure response of the reservoir over time. This role also defines and drives the testing and data acquisition programs needed to close calibration gaps and continuously improve history-matching accuracy. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys rigorous model-to-data reconciliation, diagnosing the sources of mismatch, and designing the next test that resolves it. The Reservoir Engineer will build, calibrate, and maintain reservoir and fracture models, with a strong focus on history matching both stimulation-induced fracture growth and reservoir production/pressure behavior. This role emphasizes quantitative rigor, root-cause diagnosis of model mismatch, and the design of targeted diagnostic testing to improve match quality over time. The position collaborates closely with Completions, D&C, Reservoir, and Data Science teams to align stimulation design, field data acquisition, and simulation workflows so that models stay predictive as the asset base grows.

Fervo Energy is applying first-principles engineering and a manufacturing mindset to geothermal power, an industry that has operated the same way for decades. Rather than deploying one-off energy projects, we are building standardized, repeatable GeoBlocks designed to get cheaper, faster, and more reliable with every iteration. Fervo deploys an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) power plant to convert heat to electricity. At the heart of the power plant is heat transfer and fluid handling equipment, including the air-cooled condenser, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, feed pumps, pressure vessels, and the piping and cabling that connect them. That equipment is the biggest driver of the power plant construction cost, footprint, and thermal performance, which makes it the place where designing a product instead of a project pays off the most. The Engineering Manager owns the ORC equipment and plant layout: everything in the power cycle except the turbine and generator. That means the air-cooled condenser, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, cabling layout, and associated low-voltage equipment. You own design, cost, and schedule for that scope from preliminary design through startup, on every project in every basin Fervo builds in. You lead a cross-functional team of process, mechanical, electrical, and structural/civil engineers and are accountable for schedule, budget, cost forecasting, quality of work, and the performance of the OEMs and suppliers who build the equipment. You will work every day with the electrical, controls, turbine and pipeline teams, as well as with Supply Chain, Construction, and Operations. We are looking for an engineer who knows thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems cold, has led and grown a team of engineers before, and has shipped real hardware in a manufacturing or hardware business. This role reports to the Director of Engineering.

Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Delivering on this mission requires first-of-a-kind well designs, disciplined execution in the field, and continuous learning across the full well lifecycle. Joining Fervo’s Geoblock Factory organization means operating where subsurface innovation meets real-world execution, with safety, reliability, and capital efficiency as non-negotiables. We are seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer who is excited by Fervo’s mission and motivated to design and execute advanced geothermal drilling in a highly dynamic environment. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong drilling engineering background, deep drilling experience, and the ability to operate effectively where standard oil and gas playbooks must be adapted—or reinvented—for geothermal applications. The Senior Drilling Engineer is responsible for well planning, design, engineering, and daily operations support. The Senior Drilling Engineer will also support contract management and work with partners and suppliers to deliver continuous improvement in drilling performance.

The Network Architect is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing and evolving Fervo's network architecture across corporate IT, hybrid cloud, and site environments. This role is the subject-matter expert for the Fortinet Security Fabric, with deep ownership of FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiNAC, and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. The Network Architect will also define how the Fortinet platform integrates with Cisco-based OT networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity controls. This is a hands-on architecture role, not a strategy-only position. The Network Architect will establish standards, explain the rationale behind design decisions, and advise technical and executive stakeholders, while remaining close enough to implementation to support commissioning, major changes, and complex incident resolution. This individual will partner closely with the Hybrid Cloud Architect, cybersecurity, site teams, network engineers, and external providers to build a network platform that is repeatable, supportable, and increasingly delivered through automation and CI/CD.
