ABOUT NOOKS.AI http://Nooks.ai:
Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0→1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.
Today, over 1,500 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We’ve raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, which made its first sales-tech investment in over a decade with us. Since then, we’ve tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science.
About the role
Nooks is hiring its founding GTM Engineer. The role sits within Revenue Operations, reporting to the VP of Revenue Operations, and owns the design and operation of the systems that run our GTM motion, including enrichment, scoring, routing, sequencing, CRM hygiene, and the automation layer that ties them together.
This is a builder role. You will partner with leaders across the revenue organization to identify where manual work is creating drag and build the technical solutions that eliminate it. The expectation is that you own initiatives end-to-end: diagnosing the problem, shipping the fix, and ensuring it gets adopted. We are investing in this function because the right person here meaningfully multiplies what our revenue team can accomplish without proportionally scaling headcount.
Nooks is an AI sales platform, and our own GTM team runs on it every day. That means the person in this role is both a practitioner and an internal reference customer: positioned to flag workflow gaps, broken experiences, and missing capabilities directly to our product team in a way that shapes what we build next.
What you’ll do
GTM Systems and Automation
- Design, build, and maintain the automation layer across our full GTM funnel, including enrichment, lead routing, ICP scoring, sequencing architecture, and CRM hygiene
- Identify and eliminate manual processes across (primarily) Sales and SDR (and to an extent, Marketing) – understanding where reps lose time and building systems that remove the bottleneck
- Build signal-based prioritization workflows so reps are working from intelligent queues rather than conducting ad hoc research before every call
- Serve as a technical resource for the GTM organization, helping teams adopt new systems and workflows effectively
AI-Powered Workflows
- Evaluate and implement AI tools across the revenue organization, establishing the quality standards and QA processes that keep outputs reliable at scale
- Build AI-assisted automation for the work that consumes the most rep time: account research, prospecting, QBR preparation, and competitive intelligence
- Own the prompt libraries, iteration cadences, and output standards that determine whether AI-generated content is actually useful in the hands of a seller
Analytics and Reporting
- Build executive and operational dashboards that give GTM leadership accurate, real-time visibility into funnel performance and the measurable impact of system changes
- Conduct the analyses that sit under major strategic decisions - conversion rate trends, rep productivity, territory performance, pipeline health - and bring a clear point of view on what the data means and what to do about it
- Proactively flag patterns and anomalies; we want someone who identifies an issue before leadership has to ask about it
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with our Product team to share what you are observing in internal usage patterns and customer workflows: gaps, friction, and use cases that belong in the Product roadmap
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and SDR leadership to deeply understand their operational needs and build solutions that get used, not just delivered
- Own change management when new systems or processes are introduced, including documentation, training, and ensuring adoption actually happens
Who you are
- 2-4 years of experience in RevOps, Sales Operations, Solutions Engineering, or GTM Engineering at a SaaS company, with specific examples of systems you built, outcomes those systems drove, and how you measured success
- Strong technical foundation: comfortable with APIs, integrations, basic SQL, and the modern GTM stack (HubSpot, Clay, Nooks, Gong, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Outreach, or equivalents), and fast to ramp on new tools
- AI fluency in practice: you have used LLMs to build real workflows, not just experiment with them; you understand prompt engineering, know where outputs break down, and have built QA into the systems you ship
- Sales intuition: you have either worked in a quota-bearing role or alongside reps closely enough to understand where they lose time, where handoffs fail, and what their day-to-day actually looks like, and it shows in what you build
- Systems thinker: you diagnose root causes rather than symptoms, design solutions that hold up as the team scales, and are the kind of person who catches a data model gap before it becomes a reporting problem
- Analytical rigor: you can do the data work yourself – write the query, build the model, stress-test the logic – and you translate findings into clear recommendations that leadership can act on
- Clear, persuasive communicator: you can present complex technical work to GTM leadership concisely and with conviction, push back when something does not make sense, and manage multiple stakeholders across functions simultaneously
- High ownership in fast-moving environments: you have thrived in a startup or high-growth environment where requirements are not always fully defined, and you bring structure to ambiguous problems rather than waiting for someone else to scope them for you

ABOUT THE ROLE
Nooks is the Agent Workspace for Sales — where reps and AI agents don't just execute tasks, they decide next moves, with intelligence that compounds over time. We're growing fast (4x YoY since Series B), our customers spend 4+ hours a day inside Nooks, and the SE function is one of the highest-leverage bets in the business: SE-supported deals close at nearly 6x the rate of unsupported ones.
This role is not a demo jockey. You are the AE's partner in the trenches — owning the technical win, shaping trial strategy, and sitting at the intersection of sales, product, and customer. You'll inherit a function that's already outperforming its targets and help raise the bar further. If you're a seller who thinks like an engineer — or an engineer who's found their competitive edge in the deal — this is built for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the full technical sales lifecycle across a portfolio of concurrent deals — from discovery to demo, from kickoff through close — with a clear mandate to drive each to a decision.
- Run discovery that gets underneath feature requests to uncover real business pain, then build a technical narrative that ties directly to executive-level outcomes
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospects during the trial: managing health scores, flagging risks early, and executing intervention plays before they become deal threats
- Partner closely with AEs on deal strategy — not just answering technical questions but shaping how and when we bring Nooks to the table
- Feed a direct line between the field and product, translating patterns across your trial portfolio into actionable signal for the roadmap
- Contribute to the SE playbook — identifying process bottlenecks, building automation where it creates leverage, and helping codify what "great" looks like for the team
WHAT YOU BRING
- Prior experience in a quota-carrying or technical sales role (AE, SE, or hybrid) with ownership of the pre-sale cycle — not just post-sale implementation
- A sales-first instinct: you treat trials like pipeline, obsess over win rates, and know how to build urgency without manufactured pressure
- The ability to command a room of senior stakeholders — CRO, CTO, VP of Sales — and run a business review without an AE as a safety net
- Enough technical curiosity to figure it out — you don't need to write the API call today, but you need the logical instinct to understand how systems connect and the drive to fill gaps independently
- Strong discovery orientation: you ask "why is that a requirement?" before you answer it, and you build a POV before you prescribe a solution
- A bias toward action — you iterate toward great rather than waiting for perfect, and you're comfortable owning ambiguous, undocumented, broken work
- Familiarity with enterprise sales methodology (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or equivalent) is a strong plus
