This role will report into our Solutions Consulting team. The Solutions Consulting team is an integral part of the Outreach Go-To-Market function. We focus on driving real business impact for customers by being both technology and domain experts. We are expected to understand our customer’s challenges and objectives - then guide them toward lasting solutions. We do this by partnering with other functions, internally (professional services, product, engineering, success, marketing) and externally (partners).

About the job: 

• We are looking for an Associate Applied Scientist to join a dynamic and innovative AI platform team. If you are passionate about applying machine learning to knowledge graphs and reasoning systems at scale, this is an opportunity to build core components of Outreach's per-tenant knowledge graph while developing deep expertise under the guidance of senior scientists.
• Our team is building a per-tenant contextual knowledge graph that captures the full complexity of each customer's sales environment: accounts, deals, contacts, rep behaviors, competitive landscape, and the signals buried in calls, emails, and CRM activity. This graph powers contextual reasoning across the platform, driving next-best-action recommendations, deal risk signals, coaching suggestions, and competitive intelligence. In this pivotal role, you will design the underlying representations, extraction pipelines, and reasoning layers that make this possible, working closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and reliable AI capabilities with direct impact on revenue outcomes. 
• This role is ideal for someone with strong ML fundamentals who wants to build deep expertise in knowledge graphs and applied NLP in a fast-moving product environment.

The Dialog Understanding and Generation team is building the industry's most advanced agentic AI capabilities for revenue orchestration, the end-to-end coordination and execution of sales and customer engagement workflows. Our mission is to transform raw customer interactions and CRM data into structured intelligence that powers the entire revenue lifecycle. 

We operate at the intersection of machine learning, LLM-powered systems, and cloud-scale engineering, driving both current and next-generation AI initiatives at Outreach. 

We are a team of applied data scientists who thrive on solving complex scientific and engineering challenges. The work is roughly an even split between applied ML research and production engineering, so you should be excited about both. You'll collaborate closely with exceptional engineers and product managers in a fast-moving, high-impact environment, applying your creativity and expertise to build innovative solutions that push the boundaries of agentic AI.

We focus on driving measurable business impact for prospects and customers by being both domain experts and trusted advisors. We partner deeply across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services to architect solutions that help revenue teams unlock the full potential of Outreach. 

As a Lead Solutions Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing the sophistication and effectiveness of the EMEA regions’ upper segment sales motions. You’ll operate as both a top-performing individual contributor and a multiplier for others, shaping how Outreach wins in the most complex customer environments.
