As a Security Engineer working on our infrastructure, you will be a crucial part of our IT and Security team. Your work will improve and increase our hardening and defense of Reliable’s internal infrastructure. You will work closely with Client Platform engineers and the rest of the IT team to build and deploy our managed security tools. Efforts will involve client platform onboarding automation, reviewing cloud solutions and configurations and adapting them to our needs. You will focus heavily on securing the end-user experience by providing secure solutions.
Responsibilities
In your role as Security Engineer you will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of security tools supporting the business’ internal needs and safety requirements. You will be involved in securing daily drivers, as well as supporting development infrastructure for our products.
EDR and client security: Partnering with the client platform team, and working with affected users, you will be responsible for enforcing security configurations on all endpoints (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android) utilizing the appropriate tools for the job.
Identity and Access Management: Design and maintain manageable access control schemes, manage SaaS AAA and provide zero-trust designs (and implementations) for SSO.
Automation & Infra: Meet the automation requirements of the team by taking advantage of infrastructure as code systems in supported use, building reproducible solutions with adequate documentation to repair and manage those systems and being open to critique.
Incident Response and Ops work: Be able to perform Log Analysis, participate in threat hunting exercises and be capable of investigating security alerts from EDR or externally provided IOCs.

Basic Success Criteria
5+ years of experience in an IT/Infrastructure Security, Security Operations (SecOps), or Corporate Infrastructure Security role.
Strong, fundamental understanding of endpoint operating systems (macOS and Windows 11) and how to securely configure them at scale via MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji).
Deep understanding of SSL certificates, PKI infrastructure, and credential management.
Solid networking fundamentals and understanding of secure network architecture (VLAN segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access/ZTNA, Firewalls, WiFi security).
Scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security operations and log ingestion.
Experience with modern endpoint protection tools (EDR/XDR) and log management/SIEM platforms.

In your role as a Sr. FPGA Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire certification lifecycle of the FPGA. You will author DO-254 plans and standards, develop compliant processes for peer review and testing, perform qualification of relevant design and verification tools, and develop strategies for efficient verification of the product. You will guide verification through execution and coordinate certification activities with the FAA and relevant DERs. Your contributions will directly enable the efficient realization of safe and dependable airborne electronic hardware at Reliable Robotics.
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
10+ years of full-cycle aviation electronics hardware development experience
Experience with safety-critical FPGA certification in a DO-254 level A/B process
Professional experience designing and/or verifying FPGA digital logic using industry-standard design, simulation, and synthesis tools

Sr. Systems Engineer

As a Sr. Systems Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the System Development team and will report to the Director of System Development. The System Development Team is responsible for Mission Definition, System Architecture, Development Assurance & Safety Engineering.
As part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team, you will help solve the key technical and certification challenges to deploying certified Unmanned Aircraft. Your professional experience in system design, development and safety engineering will further strengthen the company's ability to meet the rigorous expectations of stakeholders and certification authorities. You will collaborate with members from other groups within Reliable Robotics to develop new and novel systems, processes and tools necessary for unmanned aircraft operations and help to grow the company's overall system engineering capabilities.
Responsibilities
In your role as Sr. Systems Engineer you will be involved in all system development aspects of our prototypes and certifiable safety critical flight systems. This will involve the following activities:
Define & deliver development plans, process, work instructions, training.
Develop new and novel methods, techniques or processes.
Technically lead significant areas of the program across system requirements, design, validation and verification:
Act as a subject matter expert in your respective domain area.
Lead cross functional RCCAs, Trade studies, Integral Process.
Perform trades studies to assess performance, complexity, risk, and cost of competing technical solutions.
Define and support the execution of the system activities according to ARP-4754 guidance
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline, or equivalent experience at a minimum
Deep system development experience from specifying, designing, integrating and testing multiple complex safety critical avionics certification programs
Deep technical experience from concept to implementation across multiple program lifecycles for one of the following system domains: Maintenance Systems, Electrical Power, Propulsion, Avionics, Data Networks, Communication, C2 Link, Navigation, Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Flight Planning, NAS Surveillance (ADS-B)
Experience planning, and executing all of the development processes in ARP4754 across multiple programs, including leading system review audits with the airworthiness authorities
