Customer Success Engineer (Shifted Week: Tuesday - Saturday)
Resend is growing fast, and there are now over 3 million developers using it. Many of these customers are coming for a superior support experience. We're looking to extend our cracked Success team to support the next wave of developers.
As our user base continues to grow, we have increased demand across all time zones and days of the week. Please note this role has a shifted work week of Tuesday through Saturday. During your onboarding phase, you will be online Monday through Friday, with a shift once you are fully onboarded.
This role is fully remote based in UTC-3 to UTC-8 time zones, with some expected travel for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and more.

In this role, you will…
Be the front-line of customer requests
Debug, report, and ship scoped fixes for bugs and regressions
Turn recurring tickets into permanent fixes by shipping docs, product PRs, or agent improvements so the same question doesn't come back
Train and improve our AI support agent by refining prompts, adding tools, and running evals so more tickets resolve before reaching a human
Create guides and examples that showcase what's possible with Resend
Proactively build relationships and identify potential papercuts for customers
Advocate for customer needs to the greater Resend team

Resend is growing fast, and there are now over 3 million developers using it. As the Platform Squad, we are responsible for the internal platform and reliability foundations that let Resend teams build, deploy, observe, and operate services safely.
This role is fully remote based in Americas or European timezones, with some expected travel for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and more.

In this role, you will…
Build and improve the security foundations of Resend’s platform, including API keys, service permissions, secrets management, tenant isolation, audit logs, and internal access controls
Help design secure defaults for new services, workers, queues, databases, internal tools, and deployment pipelines
Improve detection and response for suspicious access, leaked credentials, abnormal sending behavior, privilege changes, and sensitive system events
Review and update our processes/pipelines so that security is “built-in”, not “bolt-on”

Have experience securing production infrastructure, cloud environments, APIs, developer platforms, or multi-tenant SaaS products
Can write code and are comfortable reading application, infrastructure, and deployment code
Understand authentication, authorization, secrets, IAM, logging, audit trails, incident response, and secure deployment pipelines.
Independently prioritize and drive your day-to-day as the first dedicated security hire
Prefer practical improvements over heavy processes

Have experience with email infrastructure, transactional email, sender reputation, domain verification, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, webhooks, or abuse prevention
Have secured cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, or similar systems
Have experience with open source security, GitHub organization hardening, package publishing, dependency review, or supply-chain security
Have helped a company prepare for SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, enterprise security reviews, or customer trust processes without turning engineering into a compliance machine
Have built security observability, alerting, detection pipelines, or incident response workflows
Have worked closely with Trust & Safety, anti-abuse, fraud, or platform integrity teams
Have experience designing security systems for high-scale developer products

Backend Engineer (MTA), Core Sending
Resend is building the most accessible email platform for developers. As we’ve grown to 3M+ users and continue to onboard thousands of new users every day, the pressure of maintaining a safe place for good senders continues to build.

In this role, you will…
Build and operate Resend’s email transport infrastructure
Work on SMTP delivery, MTA systems, routing, retries, backoff strategies, and delivery controls
Design systems for domain-level, provider-level, customer-level, and IP-level throttling
Build infrastructure for shared IP pools, dedicated IPs, warmup execution, and reputation-aware routing
Improve how Resend classifies bounces, deferrals, transient failures, hard failures, and delivery outcomes
Build tools that help the team debug delivery issues by customer, domain, mailbox provider, route, IP, message type, and event
Help design systems that make sending behavior safer, more observable, and easier to operate
Translate reputation strategy into backend systems
Partner with Trust & Safety and Core Sending to build controls that protect Resend’s sending network from abuse
Participate in incident response for sending, provider, and deliverability-sensitive issues

Have strong backend engineering experience
Have worked on email, messaging, notifications, communications, infrastructure, or other high-volume delivery systems
Understand queues, workers, retries, idempotency, rate limits, backpressure, and distributed systems
Have experience or strong interest in SMTP, MTAs, DNS, bounces, deferrals, DNS, IP pools, and mailbox-provider behavior
Care about reliability, observability, operational excellence, and reducing blast radius
Have low ego, high ownership, and strong taste for simple systems
