What We Do
Rillet serves accounting and finance teams—the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight.
Rillet is the AI-native ERP that middle-market and enterprise companies trust for revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, and investor reporting. To enable real-time finance and a continuous close, Rillet rebuilt the general ledger from the ground up for the AI era. Rillet serves companies from Series A through the public markets, including Mercor, Scribe, and Function Health, and is a certified partner of top accounting firms like EY and KPMG.
This huge market is ours to take. We have raised $100M+ from leading investors, including Sequoia, a16z, Iconiq, Oak HC/FT, and First Round, to help everyone run their numbers at the speed of AI.
Who We Are
Rillet’s pace is not for everyone. Intelligence is table stakes. To succeed here, you need extreme speed, agency, and flexibility.
The people who thrive at Rillet do not wait for assignments. They internalize the mission, design a strategy, and bring back results that are better, faster, and more creative than a manager could have asked for.
Our work revolves around our customers. The people who succeed here are energized by delivering what matters most, even when it was not part of the original plan.
Rillet is built on deep accounting expertise, and it takes people from many disciplines to build a category-defining company. You do not need to be an accountant to thrive here. You do need to care deeply about the problems we solve and the impact our customers can create. Together, we combine the precision of accounting with the speed, creativity, and ambition of AI-native software to power the financial core of the world’s fastest-growing companies while redefining what finance teams should expect from their software.
Who We Need
Rillet's support function is new and being built intentionally — and we're building it to scale through engineering, not just headcount. You'll join as one of our first Customer Support Engineers: a hybrid role that combines front-line customer problem-solving with the technical work of building the tools, automations, and AI-assisted workflows that make support fast, accurate, and scalable.
On any given day you'll be resolving real customer issues and building the systems that resolve the next hundred. You'll respond to inbound questions, triage bugs, and get customers unblocked quickly — then turn what you learn into knowledge base content, better ticket routing, AI agent improvements, and internal tooling that makes the whole team more effective. You care about fast, accurate resolution, and you find both the support craft and the engineering behind it energizing.
This is a role for someone who thinks beyond closing tickets one at a time. You see a repeated question and want to automate it away. You see a manual triage step and want to build a workflow for it. You want to compound your impact over time, not just keep pace with volume.
We're looking for teammates who value in-person collaboration and are within commutable distance of our San Francisco (preferred) or NYC offices (or willing to relocate). Team members are required to work in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible in-office day. Certain roles may require additional in-office time based on function.
What You'll Do
Resolve inbound support tickets across question types — general knowledge, bug triage, and data requests — via omni-channel support, communicating clearly and professionally in async channels with a consistent, helpful tone.
Triage and escalate issues to Customer Success or Engineering with enough context that handoff is seamless, and flag gaps in playbooks and escalation protocols when you find them.
Build AI-assisted workflows that automate manual support processes — ticket categorization, response drafting, knowledge retrieval, routing, and enrichment.
Develop internal tools and integrations that scale support execution, connecting support tooling (e.g., Pylon, Linear), the product, and the data warehouse.
Contribute to and continuously improve the internal knowledge base — documenting resolutions, product behavior, and edge cases, and turning repeated questions into scalable, structured content that both humans and AI agents can use.
Tag and categorize tickets consistently to support data quality and AI agent optimization, and instrument support systems with observability so we can trust the data and catch issues early.
Take support-infrastructure projects from 0→1 — prototype quickly, then harden the ones that work into durable systems rather than one-off scripts.
Partner with leadership, Product, and Engineering to surface patterns in customer questions and translate them into product and process improvements.
Who We're Looking For
6 months to 3 years in a customer-facing or technical support role — support, success, support engineering, or similar — ideally with exposure to building tools or automations.
Customer-first orientation — you care about the experience on the other end of every response, not just whether the ticket is technically resolved.
Technically capable and systems-oriented — comfortable scripting, building integrations, and working with APIs, data pipelines, or AI/LLM-powered workflows to remove manual work.
Strong written communicator in async channels — crisp, clear, and professional.
Fast learner who can absorb product complexity quickly; Rillet ships fast and support needs to keep pace.
Strong triage instinct — you can quickly assess whether an issue needs investigation, escalation, or just a clear answer, and move it to the right place without losing the thread.
Pattern recognition and documentation instinct — you naturally turn repeated questions into scalable knowledge base content and automation.
Ability to translate vague problems into concrete technical solutions, with a bias toward ownership, autonomy, and fast iteration.
Bonus Points
Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered workflows in production.
Familiarity with accounting concepts or finance workflows, or previous experience with an accounting-adjacent product (not required).
Experience with Pylon, Linear, or similar CS/support tooling.
Experience at early-stage or fast-scaling startups.
Life at Rillet
Grow with us. Take meaningful ownership, expand your scope, and make an impact as Rillet scales.
Competitive pay and meaningful equity. Be rewarded for the value you help create.
Benefits that support you. We offer medical and dental coverage, including up to 100% of employee premiums and 90% of dependent premiums, along with a 401(k), flexible PTO, nine company-wide holidays, and paid parental leave for eligible employees.
Better together. We’re hybrid-first, with teams centered in New York City and San Francisco, as well as select remote roles. Our offices are stocked with snacks, we regularly provide lunch and dinner, and we make time to connect as a team.

Who We Need
Experienced software engineers who drive real business impact — whether that's owning a product capability, leading a technical system, or shaping engineering strategy across teams. You've scaled through high-growth, you partner well cross-functionally, and you care about how a team builds, not just what ships.
We're building industry-defining accounting and finance software. We want engineers who bring a point of view to the work.
Our Tech Stack: Svelte 5/TypeScript frontend, Kotlin + Spring Boot backend, PostgreSQL, AWS. We're AI-native — meaning thoughtful application, not outsourced thinking. Our engineers still reason from first principles; AI helps with execution.
We’re looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team.
What You'll Do
Own features and systems end-to-end across the full stack, from backend architecture to the interfaces users interact with every day
Partner with product, design, and finance experts to shape what we build — advocating for the right technical tradeoffs and keeping the customer perspective central
Raise the bar for engineering quality: continuous delivery, test-driven development, production reliability, and a culture of ownership
Grow the team around you through code reviews, mentorship, and hands-on collaboration
Who We're Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record on complex, large-scale projects
Strong backend fundamentals and willingness to jump into frontend when needed
Comfortable making technical decisions and navigating hard tradeoffs at whatever scope your role demands
Strong product instincts — you think about user impact, not just technical correctness
Energized by building in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being written
Bonus Points
Experience in fintech, ERP, or accounting software
Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript,
Familiarity with enterprise readiness (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, audit logging, or similar)

Who We Need
We’re looking for a Design Engineer who sits at the intersection of design and engineering—someone who cares as much about pixel-perfect details as about clean, performant code. This isn’t a role where design hands off to engineering. You’ll own the full arc from visual concept to shipped product.
You’ll be a key contributor to Rillet’s platform refresh—evolving our design language, building out our design system, and translating brand direction into a cohesive product experience. You’ll work closely with our product designer and engineering team, and you’ll be trusted to make independent design decisions.
The best person for this role has unusually high taste and unusually high curiosity. You care about the web as a medium. You study products, interfaces, motion, tools, and patterns because you cannot help yourself. You are excited by the possibility that financial software can feel fast, elegant, precise, and alive.
We’re looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team.
What You'll Do
Drive Rillet’s platform refresh across core surfaces like the launchpad, side nav, login, navigation patterns, empty states, tables, workflows, and other high-frequency product experiences.
Turn rough ideas into shipped product. You may start from a loose Figma exploration, a customer problem, a brand direction, or a half-formed product intuition—and bring it all the way to polished, production-ready UI.
Build and evolve Rillet’s design system: tokens, components, interaction patterns, motion principles, layout primitives, documentation, and the implementation details that make product-wide changes fast and reliable.
Translate our upcoming brand refresh into the product quickly and thoughtfully, making sure the platform feels cohesive rather than “reskinned.”
Raise the bar for product quality across visual design, interaction design, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and micro-details.
Prototype in code when Figma is too slow or too static, especially for motion, interaction, responsiveness, keyboard behavior, AI workflows, and complex financial surfaces.
Identify design-to-code workflows that should be automated, systematized, or agentized. Help build the context, components, and patterns that make AI-assisted product development faster and more brand-consistent.
Partner with product designers, engineers, and founders to shape the experience—not just implement it. You’ll be expected to bring opinions, taste, and alternatives.
Notice what’s off before anyone asks. Then fix it.
Who We're Looking For
Exceptional taste. You can tell when something is almost right but not quite—and you know how to make it better.
Deep curiosity. You are constantly exploring new products, tools, interaction patterns, AI workflows, visual systems, and ways of building on the web.
You genuinely enjoy both design and engineering, and you do not see them as separate phases of the work.
Strong product instincts. You can reason from customer needs to interface decisions, not just from mockups to implementation.
Frontend fluency. You understand how modern web interfaces are built and can write clean, performant production code. React experience is preferred; Svelte is a bonus.
Comfort working from ambiguity. You do not need every requirement spelled out. You can take an open-ended product area, form a point of view, prototype options, get feedback, and ship.
Systems thinking. You care about reusable primitives, scalable patterns, design tokens, component APIs, and the difference between a one-off fix and a foundation.
High craft in the details: spacing, type, hierarchy, motion, affordances, loading states, empty states, keyboard behavior, accessibility, and performance.
A portfolio or body of work that shows strong visual judgment, interaction sensibility, and the ability to move between design exploration and production execution.
Comfort using AI tools to move faster, prototype more broadly, and automate repetitive parts of the design-engineering workflow—without outsourcing taste.
A bias toward shipping. You can move quickly without lowering the bar.

As an Applied AI Engineer on Rillet's AI & ML team, you'll design and ship production AI systems that transform how finance and accounting teams operate. You'll own high-impact features end-to-end, from model integration to infrastructure, and your work will be used daily by finance teams at companies like Juicebox, Scribe, and Sotheby’s.
We're an AI-native company, and we expect our engineers to bring that same mindset to how they work. If you're energized by pushing the boundaries of what AI can do in a real product context, you'll fit right in.
We’re looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team.
What You'll Do
Own AI features end-to-end: from designing agentic systems to the infrastructure that runs them in production at scale.
Work on genuinely hard problems: financial data is structured, high-stakes, and unforgiving, making it one of the more interesting domains to apply LLMs to.
Build the evaluation frameworks and experimentation loops that turn good models into reliable, production-grade systems.
Partner directly with product and domain experts to push the frontier of what AI can do inside an ERP, not just what's been done before.
Who We're Looking For
3+ years in a technical role with a strong foundation in Machine Learning and data analysis or backend systems
2+ years shipping production AI systems with real users and real stakes
Hands-on experience with production LLM applications: agentic systems and offline/online evals to make them reliable
Proficiency in Python and comfort working across the full stack to deliver end-to-end features
Strong product instincts and a habit of thinking about user impact, not just technical correctness
Drawn to hard, ambiguous problems and energized by building in an environment where the playbook is still being written
Bonus Points
Background in fintech, ERP, or accounting software
Familiarity with Python, Kotlin or TypeScript
Experience building AI systems that operate on structured financial or transactional data
