Equipment Engineer Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Studies equipment performance reliability and maintains equipment
- Drive cost of ownership to optimized performance
- Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Responsible for evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
- Keeps current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
- Work with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance equipment performance from a tool standpoint
- Use data to make intelligent improvements to overall equipment performance
- Compiles and evaluates data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment specifications
- Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
- Provide technical support to indirect technicians, and technical support to operations team through definition of operation specifications and training aids
- Establishes action plans, programs, and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
- Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules
- Project management that results in the timely execution of continuous improvement actions that resolve issues impacting fab performance metrics
- Support teams in addressing fab projects such as safety, quality, equipment availability or efficiency
- Provide progress reports on tools, processes, and goals

About the Role
We're looking for a talented Digital Design Engineer to join our team, where you'll architect and design high-performance digital circuits that seamlessly interface with cutting-edge analog systems. You'll work across a diverse set of communication protocols — including CAN, LIN, 1394, and Ethernet — contributing to full end-to-end system solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible.
What You'll Do
- Define architecture and micro-architecture for complex digital systems
- Write and review RTL code, and drive designs through simulation, synthesis, and timing closure
- Develop test methods and specifications, and contribute to application notes and datasheets
- Solve complex engineering challenges by assessing and applying a range of techniques and methodologies
- Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, delivering results on time with minimal supervision
- Collaborate closely with a world-class team of analog and digital design engineers to solve problems and drive innovation
What We're Looking For

About the role
Design high-efficiency Class D power output stages for automotive and consumer audio amplifier products. You will own the switching power path from architecture through silicon validation, including gate drivers, H-bridge and BTL output stages, dead-time control, and protection circuits in high-volume production ICs. Products include both monolithic power stages and multi-chip module GaN based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design Class D power output stages: H-bridge and BTL configurations, gate drivers, charge pumps, level shifters, dead-time control, and shoot-through protection
- Design high-voltage switching circuits with focus on efficiency, thermal performance, and EMI compliance
- Develop transistor-level schematics in Cadence Virtuoso and verify performance across PVT corners using SPICE simulation
- Collaborate with systems, layout, and applications engineers to meet audio performance specifications (THD+N, IMD, SNR, PSRR, idle channel noise) and power delivery targets
- Analyze and resolve design issues from prototype through production qualification, including EMI/EMC characterization and LC filter optimization
- Contribute to IP reuse strategy and design methodology improvements
- Mentor junior engineers on analog design fundamentals, simulation best practices, and design-for-manufacturing techniques
- Provide technical leadership within the design team: guide design reviews, drive architecture decisions, and establish standards for schematic quality and documentation

Designers bring semiconductors to life by defining, developing and/or modifying analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry. They work with other designers and the broader R&D and demand creation teams to align on approaches and parameters for a given device, creating block level specifications for the designs. They take the designs through the concept, implementation in schematic and supervising layout, followed by tape out to the fab. They also support silicon validation, test, qualification for reliability, and finally ramp to mass production. Designers also conduct tests and analyze data to ensure the chosen methods are optimal for the defined specifications and reliability requirements.
