Do you want to work for an organization that values your opinion? Do you want to work for an organization where you can play a pivotal role in several different areas? Look no further. As a Texas Instruments (TI) Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the art applications each day.
At TI, System Engineers work to identify ideal roadmap opportunities for a business and are responsible for defining new products and platforms based on market opportunity. To do this, they leverage strong technical knowledge of our existing portfolio, deep understanding of the technologies, standards and protocols within an industry or end equipment, and an ability to engage with customers and translate their requirements into technical specifications that will solve their problems. Systems engineers also partner closely with marketing and applications engineers, as well as design teams, to ensure our roadmap is both meeting customer and market requirements and is technically optimized and manufacturable at a price and cost point that makes sense for the business.
Responsibilities may include:
- Research and create new product definitions, including developing business case proposals, product strategies and taking products to RTM
- Analyze key end-equipment in automotive, industrial, consumer and computing spaces to identify future trends, identifying opportunities for improving performance and adding value to these systems
- Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customers
- Be the technical expert, responsible for product ramp up for the customer
- Silicon system evaluation (HW, SW if needed) and related documentation
- Application support for newly introduced and existing products
- Support and train central applications engineering and sales organizations on new/existing products
- Relentlessly drive new design wins for new and existing products
- Trouble-shoot customer application issues by lab testing, schematic analysis and other methods, as necessary
- Bring quick resolution to customer problems by interfacing across different functional groups such as design, product, test, packaging, marketing and sales
- Assist with generating the revenue plan for the organization
- Definition of successful new products at TI, system evaluation and taking the products to RTM
- Create technical literature such as datasheets, application notes, user's guides, EVMs, spice models, SCMs etc.
- Revenue growth through adoption of new and existing products
- Build relationships with customers/field teams by closely interacting with them to identify and solve system problems with TI silicon
- Contribute to the short and long term product strategy and roadmap
System Engineer | DCC-PADC
Precision Analog-to-Digital Converter (ASC-DCC-PADC) team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. In this role, you will work in a vibrant, team-oriented environment with exposure to a broad range of state-of-the-art signal chain applications.
TI offers the industry's largest portfolio of ADCs — spanning 8 to 32 bits in resolution — with best-in-class performance, compact footprint, and high signal-chain integration. Our ADC solutions power a wide range of fast-evolving applications including datacenters, test & measurement, factory and building automation, test & measurement, automotive, medical instrumentation, and more.
We are seeking a candidate with deep analog signal chain expertise and a strong ability to translate customer system-level needs into next-generation ADC product definitions. This engineer will be expected to develop detailed product specifications, define system-level architectures, and provide cross-functional guidance to design, test, applications, and marketing teams to ensure flawless execution.
Responsibilities May Include
- Deeply understand customer systems and end-equipment to identify technical challenges across the full analog signal chain (sensors, amplifiers, references, ADCs, and digital interfaces)
- Analyze key end-equipment in datacenter, automotive and industrial markets to identify future trends and opportunities for performance improvement and differentiation
- Develop compelling short- and long-term product roadmaps grounded in system-level insights, market trends, and customer engagement
- Author detailed product specifications (target specs, system block diagrams, competitive benchmarking) for next-generation precision ADC solutions
- Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers to balance performance, power, area, and cost
- Drive execution from initial concept through RTM, ensuring critical performance metrics and customer timelines are met
- Serve as the technical expert for product ramp-up, supporting customers through design-in and volume production phases
- Collaborate with marketing and applications teams to develop high-quality technical collateral (application notes, reference designs, white papers) that accelerate product adoption
- Relentlessly pursue new design wins for both new and existing products through deep technical engagement with customers and field teams
- Create and review technical documentation including datasheets, application notes, and system design guides
- Build strong relationships with customers and field teams by identifying and solving real-world signal chain problems with TI silicon
Provide strategic input on business direction and revenue planning to sustain and grow market share
