Role Overview
We’re looking for strong Robot Learning Engineer/Scientist to develop and advance state-of-the-art methods for developing robot policies. This role is focused on training end-to-end policies with an emphasis on sim-to-real transfer, robust performance, scalable training and inference pipelines.
This is a hands-on, research-driven role for someone working at the intersection of robotics and machine learning. You’ll collaborate closely with research scientists, ML engineers and system teams to translate robotic policy and its stack into production-ready systems.
What You Will Do:
Design and implement modern robot learning systems, including imitation learning, reinforcement learning for manipulation.
Research, prototype, and productionize robotic policies with a focus on speed, precision and scalability.
Develop and improve training pipelines for sim-to-real transfer, including domain randomization, system identification, real-sim alignment.
Collaborate with simulation and infrastructure teams to minimize sim-to-real gap and ensure learning methods integrate cleanly with real-robot deployment stacks.
Build end-to-end training and evaluation workflows for robot policies, from large-scale data generation to scale up training and evaluation.
Optimize policy performance across the stack, including training speed, inference latency, data generation efficiency to support large scale production constraints.
Diagnose failure modes in simulation and real-world rollouts, design principled solutions to improve robustness, efficiency and generalization.
Contribute to technical direction by proposing new research ideas, mentoring teammates, and helping set best practices for robot learning across the organization.
Key Qualifications:
6+ years of experience working on manipulation, locomotion, robot policy training, or related areas.
Strong foundation in robotics, neural network designs, sim-real transfer.
Deep experience with robot policy designs (e.g., VLA, WAM, diffusion).
Proficiency in Python and/or C++, with hands-on experience building research or production robotic systems.
Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and low-level robotic controller.
Proven ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and drive projects from concept through deployment.
A strong sense of ownership and engineering rigor: you care deeply about correctness, stability, and measurable improvements.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Performance Engineer to make World Labs’ models train and serve as fast as the hardware allows.
Running large generative world models at scale is a novel systems problem. You will find the bottlenecks — in kernels, in the serving path, in the training loop, in how we use our GPUs — and eliminate them. Your ownership is technical and concrete: the throughput you unlock, the latency you cut, the utilization you win back, and the correctness you hold while doing it. You will work up and down the stack, from low-level tensor and kernel optimization to fleet-wide serving efficiency, in close partnership with the researchers whose models you are accelerating.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role. You will profile, design, build, and ship code directly.
What You Will Do:
Optimize inference and serving end to end — latency, throughput, batching, caching, and scheduling — to serve our models efficiently at production scale.
Write and tune GPU kernels (CUDA, Triton) for hot paths; drive kernel fusion, memory- and bandwidth-bound optimization, and low-precision (FP8/INT8) execution.
Optimize training throughput and GPU utilization: parallelism strategies, communication/compute overlap, mixed precision, and eliminating pipeline stalls.
Build performance models, profiling workflows, and observability that make throughput, latency, cost, utilization, and their tradeoffs legible across the stack.
Own numerical correctness across precision, kernel, and hardware changes — treating correctness as part of performance, not separate from it.
Partner with researchers to productionize models for serving and to make experiments run faster and more reliably.
Where needed, work on the distributed systems that training and inference run on — but the core of the job is squeezing the most out of every GPU.
Key Qualifications:
You should excel at the fundamentals below — we index on inference, serving, GPU optimization, and training performance. Distributed-systems breadth is welcome, but secondary.
Strong performance-engineering foundations: profiling, roofline analysis, latency/throughput optimization, and disciplined root-cause investigation.
Deep GPU programming and optimization experience (CUDA and/or Triton) — kernel-level tuning, memory hierarchy, and bandwidth optimization at scale.
Hands-on experience optimizing inference and serving for large models: batching, KV/prompt caching, quantization, and low-latency, high-throughput sampling.
Hands-on experience optimizing training performance: parallelism, distributed communication, mixed/low precision, and utilization.
Working knowledge of ML framework internals (PyTorch and/or JAX; torch.compile, XLA, or similar compiler paths).
Strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to drop into C++/CUDA (and Rust or Go) as the work demands.
High-ownership mindset — you measure yourself by throughput shipped and latency cut, not tickets closed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at an AI lab or ML-native company, optimizing systems used directly by researchers and productionizing research code.
Low-precision and numerics depth: FP8/INT8 quantization, mixed-precision, and detecting numerical regressions across hardware platforms.
Distributed systems for large-scale training and inference — collective communication (NCCL), interconnects (NVLink), model and tensor parallelism, and fault tolerance. A strong plus, but not a substitute for the core skills above.
Experience serving generative, diffusion, video, or 3D/spatial models — not just text LLMs.
Multi-accelerator experience (GPU plus TPU or Trainium) and partnering with hardware vendors on accelerator capabilities.
Building performance-modeling and observability frameworks for GPU utilization and cost.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a SLAM Specialist to design, implement, and advance state-of-the-art simultaneous localization and mapping systems that enable accurate, robust spatial understanding from real-world sensor data. This role is focused on modern SLAM techniques—both classical and learning-based—with an emphasis on scalable state estimation, sensor fusion, and long-term mapping in complex, dynamic environments.
This is a hands-on, research-driven role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of robotics, computer vision, and probabilistic inference. You’ll collaborate closely with research scientists, ML engineers, and systems teams to translate cutting-edge SLAM ideas into production-ready capabilities that form the backbone of our world modeling stack.
What You Will Do:
Design and implement modern SLAM systems for real-world environments, including visual, visual-inertial, lidar, or multi-sensor configurations.
Develop robust localization and mapping pipelines, including pose estimation, map management, loop closure, and global optimization.
Research and prototype learning-based or hybrid SLAM approaches that combine classical geometry with modern machine learning methods.
Build and maintain scalable state estimation frameworks, including factor graph optimization, filtering, and smoothing techniques.
Develop sensor fusion strategies that integrate cameras, IMUs, depth sensors, lidar, or other modalities to improve robustness and accuracy.
Analyze failure modes in real-world SLAM deployments (e.g., perceptual aliasing, dynamic scenes, drift) and design principled solutions.
Create evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and metrics to measure SLAM accuracy, robustness, and performance across large datasets.
Optimize performance across the stack, including real-time constraints, memory usage, and compute efficiency, for large-scale and production systems.
Collaborate with reconstruction, simulation, and infrastructure teams to ensure SLAM outputs integrate cleanly with downstream world modeling and rendering pipelines.
Contribute to technical direction by proposing new research ideas, mentoring teammates, and helping define best practices for localization and mapping across the organization.
Key Qualifications:
6+ years of experience working on SLAM, state estimation, robotics perception, or related areas.
Strong foundation in probabilistic estimation, optimization, and geometric vision (e.g., bundle adjustment, factor graphs, Kalman filtering).
Deep experience with one or more SLAM paradigms (visual, visual-inertial, lidar, multi-sensor, or hybrid systems).
Proficiency in Python and/or C++, with hands-on experience building research or production-grade SLAM systems.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of product and engineering. You should have strong coding skills across the stack, a deep appreciation for intuitive user experiences, and the technical expertise to design end-to-end systems. In this role, you’ll own product features end-to-end—from ideation through to building responsive, user-centric web apps and backend services. Serving as a "player-coach," you will act as the engineering counterpart to product management to help with technical roadmapping and sprint execution. You will bring crucial software engineering and technical leadership experience to support a highly talented product team that currently leans heavily on design.
What You Will Do:
Partner directly with product leadership on architectural decisions, sprint planning and technical execution.
Ship focused, user-facing applications and developer tooling end-to-end, owning frontend, backend, and workflow design.
Design and build complex workflows around generative models: chained and parallel generation calls, long-running async operations, streaming results, caching, retries, and graceful degradation around inference that takes seconds to minutes.
Own the deliverable: you set and hold the quality bar for what ships under your name - correctness, performance, polish, and maintainability - and you review others' work to the same standard.
Work directly with users and design partners; instrument what you ship, watch it get used, and iterate fast.
Key Qualifications:
6+ years of software engineering experience (8+ for Staff), with a track record of end-to-end ownership. You've shipped user-facing products, not just components of them, and you've been accountable for their quality in production.
Deep proficiency in modern web application technologies for the frontend (e.g., TypeScript, React) and backend services, with a strong understanding of web architecture; especially in interactive and real-time applications with performance considerations.
Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows, grounded in fundamentals strong enough to verify, correct, and own everything you ship — you use the tools to move faster, not to outsource judgment.
Experience building products on top of asynchronous, long-latency, or streaming APIs.
A product-minded approach: you form opinions about what users need, validate them cheaply, and change course on evidence.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong foundation in computer science principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, experience in one or more of the following is a strong plus:
Experience in 3D graphics programming and shader development, particularly web frameworks such as WebGL and three.js.
Experience building applications around generative image, video, or 3D AI models.
Contributions to open-source graphics or machine learning projects.
Experience working in VFX, gaming, 3D design, or other industries that focus on high-fidelity visual outputs.

Role Overview
We are building a production-grade web application for 3D Gaussian Splat scene generation, editing, and publishing, and we’re looking for a Pipeline Engineer to help integrate cutting-edge research features and make them reliable, debuggable, and delightful to use.
This is a high-ownership, fullstack-but-backend-heavy role that sits between R&D and frontend. You will work end-to-end across graphics/ML algorithms, backend services, and frontend UI — turning proof-of-concepts into shipped features that users can rely on. The ideal candidate enjoys making complex, messy systems work smoothly in production and improving them continuously based on both internal testing and external user feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Bridge research and product by working closely with both graphics/computer vision researchers and frontend engineers to ship usable features.
Turn standalone Python scripts into clean, production-ready systems with clear inputs, outputs, validations, and failure modes.
Develop backend services, APIs, and tooling that expose complex 3D workflows in a reliable and scalable way.
Assist in integrations across the 3D ecosystem, including asset import/export and format conversion with common DCC tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You have a strong pipeline mindset, with experience turning scripts into production systems with clear inputs, outputs, validations, and failure modes.
You enjoy building tools and infrastructure that enable others, and you take pride in making complex systems understandable and usable.
You have fluency in the 3D ecosystem, including familiarity with 3D algorithms, DCC tools and common 3D file formats, sufficient to design integrations and debug workflow issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Python, including packaging, typing, tooling, debugging, and performance profiling.
Strong literacy in core 3D graphics and computer vision concepts, such as transforms, cameras, coordinate systems, rendering, and visual artifact debugging.
Demonstrated experience taking prototypes to production, including refactoring, testing, CI/CD, versioned artifacts, and reproducibility.
Solid backend fundamentals, including HTTP APIs, FastAPI (or similar frameworks), async/concurrency basics, cloud deployment, and service reliability.
Strongly Preferred / Nice-to-Haves
Experience with photogrammetry, 3D reconstruction, or Gaussian splat rendering pipelines.
Hands-on experience with DCC tools such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, Unreal, or Unity.
Familiarity with the GPU stack (CUDA, PyTorch), batch/queue systems, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Frontend adjacency, with comfort collaborating on React-based parameter plumbing and UX for technical controls.
Experience with production pipelines at VFX, animation, or gaming studios.
A production support mindset, including willingness to iterate on documentation, tutorials, and error messages to improve usability and reduce misuse.
Example Projects You Might Work On
Packaging ML and 3D Python pipelines into GPU-backed FastAPI services with request validation, reproducible outputs, and well-defined request/response schemas.
Designing parameter schemas and defaults that map cleanly from frontend controls to backend APIs and internal pipeline configurations.
Integrating import/export workflows with popular DCC tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, Houdini, Unity, Unreal, USD), identifying workflow friction, and producing lightweight documentation, tutorials, and example code/scripts to help users succeed.
