ABOUT THE ROLE
Agents can think now. They still can't act — not economically, not reliably, not with anyone in control. Teams build a great demo in days, then find that running it in production is brutally hard: it breaks when nobody's watching, the bill arrives before the explanation, and nobody can reconstruct what happened. Closing that gap is the whole company.
We're a flat org. Nobody has a lane, and what you work on will change as the problems change — you might be deep in routing one month and in metering the next. That's not disorganization; it's what a company this early looks like when the architecture is still being set.
We hire at two levels: engineers one to three years in, and Staff. There's no layer between you and the people setting the architecture, which is why someone this early gets real surface area here. It also means your design decisions get questioned by engineers who have made these mistakes before, which is the fastest way to get good at this.
WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
- Routing and capacity. Every model call has to be placed against latency, cost, and quality targets in real time, and the scheduling, reservations, and forecasting underneath have to keep those decisions honest as demand shifts. Getting this right is what makes running agents economical at all.
- Metering and billing correctness. Two charging layers, hold and capture semantics, and 270M+ consumption events that all have to reconcile — in a ledger and in a usage number a customer is reading right now. Metering is the product here, not a feature, which means the correctness bar is unusually high.
- Reliability at sustained scale. We've taken a 10–20x increase that kept compounding week over week for months. The open question is what reliability should mean here, and what observability, incident practice, and architecture get us ahead of the growth rather than reacting to it.
- The control plane. Credential-scoped permissions, workflow state limits, gateway hardening. These are the decisions that determine how much authority a customer can safely hand an agent — largely unsettled, and consequential.
- Agent execution. Sandboxed runs, state, memory, tools, and the external integrations agents depend on, at tens of thousands of runs a day.
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF
- You have strong engineering fundamentals and write good code quickly.
- You've shipped something that ran in production and that you were responsible for when it broke — at a job, an internship, or a project of your own.
- You take problems from "this should exist" to shipped without much structure around you.
- You move between backend, infrastructure, and tooling as the problem requires, rather than staying where you're most comfortable.
- You make reasonable calls with incomplete information and revise them when you learn more.
- You close gaps fast — you'd rather learn the thing you're missing than route around it.
- You use AI tools in your own engineering workflow — not instead of judgment, but as a multiplier.
- Nice to have: experience with distributed systems, queues, storage, or observability; systems that talk to a lot of third-party APIs; LLM inference or agent architectures; anything you've built and operated yourself at real scale, including side projects.
If this reads like a stretch, apply anyway. At this stage we care more about how fast you close gaps than which ones you've already closed.

THIS ROLE
We're looking for a product engineer to help take sub-products already driving significant revenue and make them more robust, while shipping new product surfaces for our creative users. You'd work primarily in SvelteKit (React experience also fine), touching Postgres/Redis/ClickHouse, with occasional reach into Python ML inference on GPU clusters and our multi-cloud k8s setup as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build real-time collaboration and canvas tooling (e.g. WebGL2/WebGPU for our node-based tools & CRDTs)
- Ship durable execution for long-running workflows and public APIs (OpenAPI docs auto-generated from Zod schemas)

- Own cross-service metrics, tracing, and observability for the features you ship

About the Role:
The Cloud Storage team at Crusoe seeks a Software Engineer II to lead the development and execution of our storage strategy. Compensation Range

About This Role:
The Mechanical Quality Inspector is a quality professional responsible for safeguarding product integrity across the entire manufacturing lifecycle—spanning Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).
Supporting both Modular Data Center (Spark) and Power Distribution Center (PDC) product lines, this role executes end-to-end inspections for mechanical and structural systems. From validating incoming raw components and structural assemblies, to performing in-process inspections and authorizing final ship release, the Quality Inspector ensures every product meets strict engineering specifications, safety codes, and customer requirements.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Incoming Quality Control (IQC): Inspect raw materials, structural steel, and sub-assemblies upon arrival against purchase orders, engineering specs, drawings, supplier CoCs (Certificate of Compliance), and supplier OQC reports to prevent non-conforming materials from entering production.
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Perform designated hold-point inspections during structural fabrication and enclosure assembly. Ensure alignment and structural fit-up before downstream work continues.
- Outgoing Quality Control (OQC): Conduct comprehensive pre-shipment inspections on completed modular units including traceability & genealogy requirements. Verify final mechanical fit-and-finish, cosmetic quality requirements, printing & label accuracy, shipping bracing, weatherproofing, and loose-ship inventories prior to signing the final ship release.
- Non-Conformance & Root Cause: Identify, tag, and document non-conforming items (NCRs). Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality Leadership to execute root-cause analyses and prevent defect recurrence (CAPA).
- Traceability & Documentation: Maintain complete inspection records—including hold-point sign-offs, torque logs, photo documentation, and shipping checklists—ensuring full unit traceability.
- Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Enforce compliance with ISO 9001 standards and applicable product and building code requirements (AISC 360, ASTM, AWS D1.1, IBC). Participate in Lean/5S initiatives to streamline inspection workflows and improve product quality trends.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required; Technical certificate or Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology preferred.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical quality inspection in a heavy manufacturing, panel shop, or modular integration environment (an Associate's degree substitutes for 2 years of experience).
- Blueprint & Drawing Reading: Advanced capability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings, structural steel prints, piping/HVAC diagrams, and detailed bill of materials (BOMs).
- Technical & Precision Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using precision mechanical measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors, laser levels, feeler gauges, calibrated torque wrenches).
- Dimensional Inspection: Expertise in dimensional inspections to verify part geometry, including bend angles and radius, flange lengths and hole locations.
- Structural Steel & Bolting: Knowledge of structural steel framing, high-strength bolting requirements (AISC/IBC standards for snug-tight, pretensioned, and slip-critical connections), and calibrated torque wrench application.
- Metal Composition Verification: Competence in analyzing material test reports (MTR) to validate metal alloy grades, sheet metal thickness, and material strength and chemical characteristics.
- Weld Inspection: Competence in visual weld inspection (welding symbols, defect detection like porosity, undercut, penetration) and reviewing Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Surface Coating Inspection: Expertise in performing paint/coating dry film thickness (DFT) measurements and verifying proper coating procedures are followed.
- Enclosure Integrity & Weatherproofing: Experience inspecting modular enclosure framing, structural lifting points/lugs, door alignment, weather seals/gaskets, and IP/NEMA sealing for outdoor environmental resistance.
- Digital & ERP Systems: Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace, digital Quality Management Systems (QMS), and ERP software.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to maneuver around large modular units, work at heights, climb ladders, and inspect confined or hard-to-reach spaces.
- Safety & Compliance: Position is designated as safety-sensitive. Mandatory participation in company safety, drug, and alcohol programs.

About the Role:
We are looking for a Principal Enterprise Technology Architect to own the technical vision for how our internal business systems connect, scale, and evolve. This is a newly created senior Individual Contributor role: you will be the highest-ranking technical voice in our Enterprise Technology organization, setting the architectural standard that guides our team of experienced system administrators.
Crusoe is at an inflection point. We have mature, capable platforms running Finance (Oracle Fusion, Coupa, Sage Intacct), Construction and Operations (Procore, Oracle Primavera), and People (Rippling, Ashby), but they operate largely as islands. Your mandate is to design the unified architecture that connects them: defining master data models, engineering a scalable and increasingly event-driven integration layer, and building the governance frameworks (including how AI is responsibly introduced into these systems) that take us from startup agility to enterprise maturity.
This is a greenfield architecture role first. You will spend the majority of your time designing systems, producing ERDs, context diagrams, and sequence flows, before a single line of configuration is written. This role does not carry formal people-management responsibility, though as a Principal (P6) you may guide contributors indirectly on complex initiatives. You will serve as the integration and architecture subject matter expert that a team of senior administrators pulls in on complex, cross-system initiatives, and as a voice in Architecture Review Board discussions on major platform changes.
This role partners with, rather than replaces, existing domain owners: the IT Architect retains ownership of iPaaS design and governance, the Identity Lead retains ownership of IAM/PAM and access governance, and the AI & Automation Staff Engineer retains ownership of AI governance and architecture. This role's mandate is enterprise-wide data-model and integration-pattern design, done in partnership with those owners.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Greenfield Architecture & System Design
- Lead technical discovery for all major system initiatives, producing high-fidelity artifacts — ERDs, system context diagrams, data flow maps, and sequence diagrams — that serve as the source of truth for implementation
- Assess current platform limitations and define the path forward, including when to optimize, when to re-platform, and when to build a custom integration layer
- Serve as the primary technical evaluator during software procurement, vetting vendors on API robustness, data model flexibility, and security compliance — not just features
- Identify and document integration debt across the current-state architecture and develop a prioritized roadmap to address it
- Participate in Architecture Review Board discussions, ensuring major system changes align with enterprise standards and reference architecture
- Master Data & Integration Strategy
- Partner with platform SMEs and administrators to define a unified approach to master data across the organization
- Partner with the IT Architect and platform SMEs who own our iPaaS integration environment today, co-developing reusable integration patterns, error-handling frameworks, and self-healing workflows that raise the bar without displacing existing ownership
- Drive integration architecture toward API-first, event-driven patterns (REST, webhooks/pub-sub) where they improve reliability and reduce latency over batch processing
- Define how internal systems authenticate and communicate, with strict enforcement of secure API standards (OAuth 2.0, REST/SOAP) across all integrations
- AI & Intelligent Automation
- Partner with the AI & Automation Staff Engineer to identify high-value opportunities to embed AI into Crusoe's enterprise systems — workflow automation, intelligent document processing, enterprise copilots, and natural-language interfaces to platforms — contributing enterprise-systems and data-model expertise to their design
- Contribute enterprise-architecture perspective to the AI & Automation team's evaluation of agentic AI, RAG, LLM integration patterns, and orchestration frameworks (including MCP); co-develop governance standards for their use within enterprise systems alongside the AI & Automation Staff Engineer, who owns AI governance
- Partner with InfoSec and Data teams to ensure AI-enabled workflows meet data privacy, security, and audit requirements
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Advisorship
- Work alongside a team of experienced senior system administrators across Oracle, Procore, Coupa, Rippling, and other platforms — serving as the go-to architecture and integration resource on complex cross-system initiatives
- Conduct design and configuration reviews, provide architectural guidance, and help administrators think through integration trade-offs on their projects
- Establish shared standards for documentation, sandbox management, and change control that the broader team can build toward consistently
- Governance & Standards
- Establish the “Rules of the Road” for the Enterprise Technology team: naming conventions, sandbox management, documentation standards, and change control processes
- Partner with InfoSec to ensure all architectural designs meet SOC2 and SOX requirements
- Partner with the Identity Lead, who owns IAM/PAM and access design, to ensure RBAC models across enterprise systems are secure without creating operational friction — contributing enterprise-systems context rather than setting Identity policy independently
- Define architectural review processes and quality standards for enterprise-systems initiatives, coordinating with the AI & Automation and Identity teams on criteria within their respective domains
- Cross-Functional Translation
- Serve as the primary bridge between business needs and technical execution, representing the Enterprise Technology team to stakeholders in Finance, Construction, and People
- Communicate architectural trade-offs — real-time vs. batch, build vs. buy, monolith vs. modular — clearly to non-technical audiences
- Build credibility and trust with business partners through consistent, clear communication and follow-through
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Demonstrated experience designing systems from the ground up, with examples of greenfield architecture work including ERDs, context diagrams, and data flow documentation you personally produced.
- 10-15+ years of experience in Enterprise Systems or Solutions Architecture, or equivalent depth of domain/architectural expertise, with at least 5+ years in a Solution Architect or Lead Systems Engineer role and a track record of sustained, recognized impact in the field.
- Deep familiarity with at least one of our core platform domains: ERP/Finance (Oracle Fusion Cloud, Coupa, Sage Intacct) or Construction/Ops (Procore, Oracle Primavera).
- Strong understanding of business process flows, particularly Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Hire-to-Retire (H2R), and how they map to system data models.
- Advanced SQL proficiency and deep fluency with web services (REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, Postman).
- Experience operating as a senior technical resource without formal authority, advising peers, running design reviews, and influencing stakeholders through expertise rather than title.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop senior colleagues and to guide contributors indirectly, without formal management authority, on complex technical and architectural decisions.
- Comfort making strategic calls under significant ambiguity, reading urgency correctly, and finding efficient resolution paths on programs with Crusoe-wide visibility.
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco or Denver per the schedule outlined above.
Bonus Points
- Hands-on experience with an enterprise iPaaS platform (Workato preferred; MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent considered), including building complex integrations, custom connectors, and managing integration lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with our full platform stack: Oracle Fusion Cloud, Coupa, Sage Intacct, Procore, Oracle Primavera, Rippling, Ashby.
- Experience building AI-enabled enterprise applications, including agentic AI, RAG, LLM orchestration, MCP, or vector databases, and evaluating them for business-system use cases.

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $225,000- $255,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
