Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Business Value Consulting team focuses on driving long-term growth and value creation for the largest and most strategic Stripe users. Business Value Consultants play a critical role in translating the technical capabilities of Stripe products into strategic value for customers. We help drive meaningful business outcomes and accelerate decision-making through a consultative approach that aims to build investment confidence and improve CxO conversations.
What you’ll do
Our Business Value Consulting team partners closely with our Go-to-market teams and Enterprise users to articulate the strategic value Stripe will provide for users’ businesses. Value Consultants develop methodologies to measure the financial, strategic, and operational benefits Stripe provides, and use those to develop value propositions, business cases, and ROI justifications for our users.
Responsibilities
Build compelling business case presentations and ROI (Return on Investment) analyses aimed at accelerating, justifying, or expanding sales opportunities
Create ROI tools for sales and customers for joint business casing
Craft high-impact, executive-level narrative and presentations for CxOs while working cross-functionally with our Sales and Presales teams
Conduct internal and external research around customers’ businesses, market, industry, and functional trends, and business value analysis
Build strong relationships with regional sales leaders to be a key driver on strategic account planning and engagements
Create assets for internal teams to articulate and measure the value of Stripe and deliver high-level business value impact in a consistent way
Contribute to the creation and management of library assets including value frameworks, and other sales and value capture assets to help scale the team's reach across the organization
Provide thought leadership, training, and consultative partnering with internal sales and other teams throughout and beyond the sales cycle
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
10+ years of experience in management consulting, business value consulting, strategic finance, or similar roles
Strong financial acumen and demonstrated expertise in building compelling executive-ready ROI models, business cases, and financial frameworks (value metrics, cost-benefit analysis, TCO/TVO) that directly influence buying decisions
Executive presence and storytelling ability to translate complex financial narratives into clear, persuasive presentations that resonate with C-suite buyers
Proven ability to partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Product, and Customer Success to shape deal strategy and accelerate revenue outcomes
Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple concurrent engagements with rigor, balancing speed and analytical precision independently
Preferred qualifications
Experience in the technology, SaaS, or fintech industry
Background in payments, financial services, or digital commerce
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
Track record of developing scalable frameworks and methodologies
Understanding of value selling methodologies and sales processes
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $215,500 - $323,300. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
We look forward to hearing from you.
At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.

Respiratory viruses kill 1 million people a year, cost us $600B annually, disrupt everyday life, and periodically threaten civilization. Recent breakthroughs may make it possible to develop and deploy broad-spectrum preventatives and air cleaning technologies that defend against common respiratory infections. Intercept is a $500M philanthropic initiative that aims to radically reduce the burden of respiratory infections, and eventually eliminate them altogether. Learn more about Intercept via our launch post and our website. What you’ll doIntercept is looking for an exceptional scientist to join our team. We’re working to bring into existence a portfolio of broad-spectrum preventatives needed to radically reduce the burden of respiratory viruses. Our goal is to advance 2+ products that meet our target product profile through Phase 2. We make both grants and investments, using the most capital-efficient tool to advance our target product profile. This role will focus on conducting research, managing projects, and supporting diligence across our grant and equity pipelines. This work requires shaping and building out our internal points-of-view across a wide range of modalities that are relevant to respiratory viruses, which include innate immunity, adaptive immunity, direct-acting antivirals, host-directed therapeutics, and physical formulation barriers for the upper respiratory tract. The role will generate high-quality theses to guide our approach to grant and equity investments as well as engage with a wide range of scientific experts, investors, funders, and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem to make sure Intercept is funding the best high-conviction ideas, concepts, and platforms. We need someone who can (1) evaluate the quality and value of the science for impact vs probability of success, and (2) zoom out to synthesize what that means for our capital deployment plan and long-term goals. A successful candidate will be action-oriented and comfortable working independently (vs. waiting to be told what to do) and a great communicator who can translate complex science for diverse audiences.Intercept is a small team; you'll work with the entire team, under Intercept’s Head of Science, many partners, and wear many hats. You'll own specific outcomes end-to-end and have a chance to contribute to BSP strategy over time.ResponsibilitiesDevelop theses on technological approaches to inform capital deployment. Generate high-quality research outputs to inform investment theses. Support the development of internal points of view for the most promising approaches that have the potential to meet our TPP. Help review and triage inbound submissions received through our published RFP, identifying the most relevant projects and ideas that could result in the optimal broad-spectrum preventative. Help update our RFP material and/or launch specialized calls based on the current state of the field/portfolio.Diligence pipeline opportunities. Support early and deep / technical diligence of our grant and equity pipeline: evaluating science quality, development plans, team, and fit against our TPP.Engage a network of experts and primary literature to keep our strategy current.
