Opportunity Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, Cohere is seeking a highly strategic and collaborative Vice President of Payer Sales to lead the organization’s efforts to establish and maintain strong relationships with payers across our Western region. This person will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to help drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and ensure alignment with the Cohere’s overall goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in payor sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement a strategic and proactive approach to identify and cultivate new relationships with regional and national payers across the Western U.S.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for Cohere while mitigating risks.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at payor organizations, including executives, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations in all payor-related activities.
- Act as a true subject matter expert on health plans while refining sales strategies to attract and secure long-term clients.
- Represent Cohere at industry conferences and relevant events, establishing our presence as a leader in the market.
What you’ll need:
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in payer sales, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets.
- Proven success in developing and managing enterprise partnerships with regional and/or national payers.
- Deep experience in the healthcare industry, including payer dynamics, reimbursement models, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
- Knowledge of the challenges facing national payers (e.g. healthcare reform, the rise in patient pay responsibility) and educating on how Cohere Health can be part of their solution set.
- Proficient in leveraging data analytics and sales enablement tools to inform decision-making and optimize sales performance.
- Ability to travel 30%+ of the time to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support team activities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build strategic partnerships.

The salary range for this position is $214,000 to $235,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. We are seeking a Senior Inpatient Auditor to join our dynamic Payment Integrity team. This critical role involves conducting comprehensive MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding reviews to ensure the accuracy of claims and maximize overpayment identification. What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding reviews to ensure accuracy in DRG assignment and reimbursement.
- Apply expert knowledge of coding guidelines and utilize industry-leading tools to maximize overpayment identifications.
- Craft clear, concise, and well-supported audit findings, backed by AHA Coding Clinic Guidelines and ICD-10-CM/PCS regulations.
- Utilize advanced DRG encoder tools to drive efficiency and accuracy in audits.
- Meet or exceed company quality and productivity standards, including strong uphold rates for appeals.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, coding updates, and compliance regulations to maintain expert-level knowledge.

- Maintain and apply superior knowledge of changes and updates to coding guidelines, reimbursement trends, and health payment policy language.
What you’ll need:
- 6+ years experience of performing MS-DRG and ARP-DRG reviews for a Payment Integrity vendor or Payer required.
- An active certified coder credential (e.g., CIC, CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT) required.
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) credential highly preferred.
- Requires advanced expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and the ability to exercise discretion and professional judgment in assessing complex clinical information, validating diagnosis code assignments, and identifying discrepancies such as coding errors or upcoding.
- Prepares clear, concise, and well-supported audit findings, referencing authoritative sources such as AHA Coding Clinic and ICD-10 guidelines, ensuring recommendations reflect professional expertise.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high performance.
- Consistently meets or exceeds established quality and productivity standards while managing priorities and workflow autonomously.
- Passion for DRG auditing and a commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- RHIA, or RHIT credential, Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field preferred.
- Inpatient audits for case rate and per diem preferred.
- Experience working in a start-up or high-growth company environment, demonstrating agility and adaptability.

Opportunity Overview:
The Inpatient Program Strategy & Execution Manager plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Cohere's inpatient platform strategy across our health plan clients. As the business owner for the solution, you'll drive end-to-end strategy, execution, and value realization while partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Analytics, and Client Experience.
You'll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution—working with client leadership to define priorities while partnering internally to bring innovative solutions to life. What you'll do:
- Own end-to-end delivery of Cohere's inpatient program across multiple health plan clients, from contract signature through implementation, optimization, and ongoing operations.
- Serve as the single-threaded owner responsible for coordinating execution across Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Analytics, and Client Experience.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to translate client and business needs into product requirements and influence roadmap prioritization.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations and Analytics to define clinical and AI program strategy, gather requirements, configure solutions, and continuously monitor and optimize performance.
- Partner with Client Experience to identify opportunities to increase client value realization, track key performance metrics, and communicate program outcomes.

What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in program management, product management or operations, implementation leadership, consulting, or delivery management within healthcare, software, or technology-enabled services.
- Experience working with health plans, health systems, or other healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated success owning the performance and delivery of complex solutions or programs from strategy through execution.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving business, clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing experience, including executive communication, stakeholder management, and managing priorities, timelines, and tradeoffs.
- Strong technical and operational aptitude, including an understanding of operational workflows, system integrations, data flows, and configuration-driven platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions.
