Field Marketing Manager, Startups

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the open-source backend platform trusted by millions of developers to build web apps, SaaS products, and AI-native applications. Our Partnerships team works across the ecosystem - technology partners, cloud platforms, VCs, accelerators, and startup programs - to make Supabase the default backend for the next generation of companies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Field Marketing Manager to bring our partner ecosystem to life through enablement, events, and programs to raise awareness of Supabase's value proposition to early stage startups. You'll own the materials, playbooks, and activations that help our partners - VCs, accelerators, incubators and entrepreneurship programs - successfully promote and build with Supabase. That includes organizing Supabase's presence at partner and VC-related events, running office hours, hackathons and VIP dinners, and turning relationships into repeatable, high-impact programs.
This role sits on the Partnerships team and reports to the Head of Startups, working closely with teammates across the startup program, GTM, developer relations, and marketing. Because the bulk of our events and partner activity is concentrated in San Francisco and the Bay Area, we strongly prefer candidates based there who can regularly attend and host events in person. It's a great fit for someone who loves the operational craft of enablement and programs and wants to work at the intersection of startups, venture, and developer tools.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain partner enablement materials - decks, one-pagers, playbooks, and activation guides - that help partners across the ecosystem promote and build with Supabase
- Manage the operational cadence of partner programs: collaborating on strategy, tracking activations, and keeping program logistics running smoothly across partner types
- Organize Supabase's presence at partner and VC-related events — demo days, founder summits, portfolio workshops, partner conferences — including sourcing and preparing speakers for talks and panels
- Plan and run Supabase hackathons end-to-end: partner coordination, logistics, sponsorships, judging, prizes, promotion, and post-event follow-through
- Coordinate cross-functionally with the Partnerships, Startups, GTM, DevRel, Events and Marketing teams to align enablement and event activity with pipeline goals
- Measure and report on program impact — signups, credit redemptions, partner-sourced pipeline, and event outcomes
- Identify new enablement and program opportunities across the partner ecosystem and bring proposals with clear ROI to the team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years of experience in partner enablement, program management, event marketing, or partner marketing - ideally in developer tools, startups, or venture ecosystems
- A track record of running events (hackathons, meetups, conferences, or workshops) from planning through post-event reporting
- Strong project management instincts: you keep many moving pieces on track without dropping details
- Comfort working and communicating with external stakeholders - technology partners, VCs, accelerators, community leaders - and representing the company professionally
- Clear written and verbal communication; you can produce polished enablement materials and brief a speaker with equal ease
- A bias toward measurement: you instinctively ask "did this move the needle?" and build metrics-based reporting to answer it
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, remote-first environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) the San Francisco Bay Area, with availability for regular in-person events, including occasional evenings and weekends
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with the developer tools landscape, AI infrastructure, and/or hands-on experience with databases like Supabase, Postgres, or similar products
- Experience working with startup accelerators (e.g., YC, Techstars) or VC platform teams
- Background in developer community or DevRel-adjacent work
- Experience with CRM and marketing tools (esp. HubSpot) for tracking program performance
HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
- Build the core “menu” of events and enablement playbook the Partnerships team will use with every partner going forward
- Ship repeatable events and major partner activations with strong attendance and measurable signups
- Establish reporting that ties enablement and event activity to partner-sourced pipeline
WHY SUPABASE
- Fully remote team with flexible working hours
- Work directly with the world's top VCs, accelerators, and fastest-growing startups
- High ownership: this is a new role you get to shape
- Competitive compensation and equity
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits

- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing to join our Data Intelligence team and build the measurement foundation that tells us what's actually working across paid and PLG channels. You'll work closely with Marketing, Growth, and channel owners, helping us move past platform-reported metrics and vanity numbers into causal, trusted answers about what drives pipeline and revenue.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments, is AI-forward in how they work, and is excited about building a measurement function from the ground up.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Marketing Measurement Strategy
- Own the end-to-end marketing measurement strategy across experimentation, media mix modeling, and attribution for paid and PLG channels
- Establish and evolve the attribution framework: how platform data, multi-touch attribution, MMM, and experiments work together to inform decisions
- Translate complex measurement outputs into clear recommendations on where to invest, what to cut, and how to hit pipeline, revenue, and efficiency targets (CAC, payback, LTV to CAC)
- Serve as the subject matter expert for marketing measurement, educating stakeholders on causality, model uncertainty, and the limitations of platform-reported metrics
Incrementality and Experimentation
- Design and run always-on incrementality tests, user-level and geo-level, to quantify the causal impact of key channels, campaigns, and tactics
- Calculate incremental lift, incrementality percent, and incremental ROAS/CPA, and use these to guide budget reallocation
- Build repeatable analysis templates and playbooks for experiment design, analysis, and readouts so results are consistent across teams
- Partner with channel owners (paid search, paid social, lifecycle, website/SEO) to build and prioritize a experimentation roadmap, embedding it into campaign planning, creative testing, and audience strategy
Media Mix Modeling and Forecasting
- Build and maintain media mix models using historical data to estimate channel contribution, marginal returns, and optimal budget allocation
- Incorporate seasonality, adstock, and saturation effects, and continuously validate model performance through backtesting and reconciliation with experiment results
- Turn MMM insights into budget scenarios and forecasts across channels and regions, communicated in a way non-technical stakeholders can act on
Context, Tooling, and Data Integrity
- Own and build the context and skills that let marketing teams run accurate self-serve analytics: metric definitions, model documentation, and reusable analysis patterns, not just dashboards
- Use AI tools as a core part of daily work to accelerate analysis and go deeper than a traditional analyst workflow allows, and help establish AI-forward practices across the marketing org
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies in marketing data (tracking, spend, platform exports) and work cross-functionally to fix them at the root rather than patching around them downstream
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Have 6+ years in marketing analytics, data science, or a related role, with a focus on performance marketing and/or PLG growth
- Deeply understand marketing attribution, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling, and how they complement each other rather than compete
- Are advanced in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (Python or R) for experiment analysis and modeling
- Have hands-on experience designing, running, and interpreting experiments across digital marketing channels: search, social, display, email, in-product
- Have built or worked closely with MMM and/or advanced attribution models, ideally in a consumption or BaaS environment
- Have strong business acumen and fluency in growth metrics: CAC, LTV, payback period, conversion rates, funnel performance
- Think in terms of self-service and scale: your instinct is to build tools and frameworks that make marketing teams independently capable, not to become the bottleneck for every "did this work" question
- Can hold technical and strategic context at once: you're as comfortable in a model's residuals as you are in a conversation about budget tradeoffs
- Are AI-forward in how you work: you use LLMs and AI tooling habitually and have a clear point of view on how it changes what an analyst can do
- Communicate clearly to non-technical stakeholders and know how to make causal nuance land in a business conversation
- Thrive in async, autonomous environments and are energized by building a measurement function from the ground up
Nice to Haves
- Experience in BaaS, DevRel or open source dev tool companies, connecting marketing spend to pipeline and revenue outcomes
- Experience with applied econometrics, time-series modeling, or Bayesian methods for MMM and experimentation
- Familiarity with common marketing and analytics tools (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, web analytics, CDPs, BI/visualization tools)

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We give teams a complete backend out of the box: Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search, all built on Postgres and designed to grow with the products people build on us.
We're open source, remote-first, and async by default. We move fast, we ship in public, and we care a lot about doing right by the developers who trust us.
About the role
Our events program is how a lot of developers and teams meet Supabase for the first time, whether that's a packed booth at a major trade show, an event with one of our partners, or a dinner with a room full of target accounts. We're looking for a Field Marketing & Events Manager to own and grow that program.
The role centers on two areas:
Partner events and trade shows. The events that put Supabase in front of the wider market and our partner network. You'll own these end to end, with the goal of building awareness with the audiences that matter to us, getting our team face-to-face with customers, prospects, and partners, and turning that into leads, signups, and real opportunities. They're also where we strengthen the partnerships we have, build new ones, and establish Supabase as a credible voice in the industry.
Strategic business events. High-touch events you'll run with Sales, like executive dinners and small-format gatherings built around specific accounts. These sit further down the funnel: the point is to get in the room with target accounts, influence and accelerate pipeline, and open up the expansion opportunities and strategic relationships that help close and grow deals.
One thing to know going in: this is a newly formed team, and we're still figuring out how it all works. You'll help define the playbook, not inherit one. That means real influence over how we run events, and it means staying flexible as priorities shift and we learn what works.
You'll work with a small, senior marketing team, so your ideas land quickly and your work is visible.
What you'll do
- Own partner events and trade shows end to end, from planning through on-site execution and follow-up.
- Work with Sales to design and run strategic business events: executive dinners, roundtables, and small high-touch gatherings aimed at target accounts, pipeline, and expansion.
- Help decide where we show up. Evaluate event opportunities and make the case for where our time and budget go.
- Run sponsorships from contract to follow-up: packages, deliverables, internal coordination, the works.
- Manage the operational backbone of each event: budgets, vendors, timelines, run-of-show docs, staffing plans, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate the physical side: booth assets, shipping, print, signage, swag, demos, registration, and overall experience.
- Partner closely with PMM, Partnerships, Design, Ops, Finance, and Legal to align on goals and ship great events together.
- Drive promotion and attendee comms: registration, reminders, internal briefs, and readiness docs.
- Make sure leads get captured and followed up on, working with Ops and GTM.
- Track how events perform against their goals and turn the results into reporting, learnings, and program improvements.
- Build the repeatable playbooks, templates, and processes that let the program scale without getting heavier.
- Support our community events program where it helps.
Who you are
- Passionate about building memorable, high-quality event experiences
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, and strong at managing timelines and multiple priorities
- Execution-focused, but always thinking about impact
- Analytical and data-driven; you use metrics to make decisions and improve outcomes
- Calm under pressure, adaptable on-site, and quick to solve problems
- Comfortable working independently and owning projects end to end
- A clear communicator who builds strong relationships across teams
- Scrappy and resourceful; you make things happen with limited resources
- Excited to learn, improve processes, and grow as the program scales
What we're looking for
- 5-8+ years in field marketing or a closely related role.
- Direct experience running trade shows and sponsored conferences: booth strategy, on-site execution, and everything that goes into a great presence.
- Experience with partner events and co-marketing: planning and running events with partners, and managing the relationships and deliverables that come with them.
- Experience building strategic business events in close partnership with Sales, things like executive dinners, roundtables, and targeted regional events tied to pipeline.
- Comfort owning budgets, vendors, contracts, and on-site logistics.
- Strong written communication. On a remote, async team, most coordination happens in writing.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to a technical or developer audience: B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
- A history of working hand in glove with enterprise Sales teams on field programs.
- You've worked in a fast-moving, lean, remote, async environment before and liked it.
How we work
We're remote-first and async, so most coordination happens in writing. You'll have a lot of autonomy and a team that trusts you to run with things. In exchange, we expect clear communication, good judgment, and ownership.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
