- Before anything gets built, projects must move through permitting and pre-construction workflows spread across ~20,000 jurisdictions, each with different rules, systems, and processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW
- We're hiring a Product Manager, AI to own PermitFlow's core AI infrastructure and workflow agents. This is a role that will require UX and technical acumen to deliver high quality agents in a genuinely complex domain, while also up-leveling our core agentic infrastructure and data flywheel.
- Submitting a permit means comprehending construction documents, extracting project details, confirming every requirement has been met and often filling in pdf forms. Errors compound across steps and a failed submission adds real cost for our customers as projects slow.
- In this context, you will be asked to deeply familiarize yourself with PermitFlow’s users, customers and use-cases, so you can develop a blended strategy, supporting single-shot full automation where possible and utilizing human-in-the-loop patterns where human judgment is still required. This is not an incremental role, we are looking for someone who can have a major impact in how fast construction gets done in America, Canada and beyond.
- The ideal candidate will mix an exceptional history of product delivery with true experience building AI and Agentic infrastructure from the ground up. You ship quickly, instrument everything, hold a high quality bar, and stay close to the users of what you build.
- This role reports directly to our Head of Product. We're hiring at Staff or Principal, with the level based on past experience and interview performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will operate across agent design, evaluation, and operational execution:
- Deliver our core set of workflow agents for permitting, enabling rapid comprehension of construction projects and accurate compliance submissions for permits and inspections
- Define what "reliable enough to submit" means at both the field and submission level, and own the quality bar that gates release
- Own our path to full automation, segmenting use cases and driving to single-shot submission where accuracy allows
- Design the architecture for assistive use cases, building the agents and tools that empower permit coordinators to move faster where humans-in-the-loop is the best solution
- Work with our operations org to build an evaluation and data flywheel through early testing, golden data set generation, and structured error analysis ahead of submission
- Build a durable design system around our data flywheel, ensuring that users can easily provide feedback on our Agents & AI products
- Build the internal toolset for testing, error analysis, and hill climbing that every team at PermitFlow uses to ship agentic work
- Serve as the internal applied AI expert for teams coming from more traditional software backgrounds
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for product leaders who have shipped AI into production in domains where accuracy carries real-world consequences.
- 7+ years of product management experience, or an equivalent track record in forward deployed engineering, applied research, or operations leadership
- Direct ownership of the quality bar for a shipped AI/Agentic system
- Hands-on experience building evaluations, including experience with golden data sets, LLM-as-judge, human annotation, and online monitoring
- Judgment on when to build an agent and when a simpler product or process change delivers more
- Deep technical fluency and comfortable engaging engineering on technical concepts
- Track record of partnering closely with operations teams and translating operational insight into product
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and create clarity for cross-functional teams

ROLE OVERVIEW
- We're hiring a Product Lead to define what PermitFlow builds next, reporting directly to our Head of Product. This is a high ownership role that will require exceptional execution across new product development and commercial strategy.
- Permitting is the gate every construction project's data passes through, giving us a route upstream into design, pricing, and feasibility, and downstream into procurement and scheduling. This role will be responsible for delivering our next planned bet, then expand into identifying, designing and delivering the next set of major products we will deliver in early 2027.
- The ideal candidate for this role will be able drive outcomes across the organization, working with GTM, Operations and Business Operations to size markets quickly, test cheaply and price effectively. You will get unusual levels of access to leadership and be involved in making critical decisions for the business. It is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience driving cross-functional commercial outcomes and/or with ambitions to be a future founder, GM or Head of Product.
- This role is our first Product Lead. You will start as our most senior individual contributor, with the ability to build a team as you grow the products you ship.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will operate across product, commercial strategy, and cross-functional execution:
- Take our core permitting and inspections products into a key new market, partnering with GTM and Operations leadership on product, delivery, and pricing.
- Build a clear point of view with Business Operations on which markets we enter next, and the frameworks for sizing and testing new bets
- Design and validate the next products we launch, from hypothesis through concept, pilot, commercial launch, and delivery
- Lead cross-functional work streams across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Operations, supporting both tactical delivery and revenue momentum
- Own launch readiness, including positioning, sales narrative, and the support model
- Ensure cross-functional partners are enabled to deliver new products at high quality, from sales collateral through support SOPs
- Set the standard for product craft as our first product lead, and support the Head of Product in hiring and holding the quality bar
- Make the case for when a product line has earned dedicated PMs, and build that team when it does
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for product leaders who think like GMs and have taken a product from zero to real revenue.
- 9+ years of product experience, or an equivalent track record as a founder, GM, or operator carrying commercial ownership
- Proven experience taking a product from zero to commercial revenue in a startup or high-growth environment, or experience significantly accelerating revenue growth when inheriting a 1-100 product offering
- Direct experience moving a company into a new customer segment or market, across buyer, sales motion, delivery model, and price
- Pricing and packaging judgment built on direct experience
- Fluency with long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles and formal procurement processes
- Comfort with a services-heavy delivery model where product decisions drive staffing and delivery cost
- Technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineering teams

ROLE OVERVIEW
- We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead critical product initiatives across PermitFlow’s platform.
- This is a highly ownership-driven role at the intersection of AI, workflow automation, and real-world operational complexity. You’ll work directly with engineering, design, operations, leadership, and customers to define products that simplify one of the most fragmented workflows in the physical economy.

- You will own problems end-to-end from customer discovery and product strategy through execution, launch, iteration, and measurable customer impact.

- Lead a core product area focused on customer-facing workflows and AI-powered systems that simplify complex permitting processes
- Drive the full product lifecycle: discovery, prioritization, design, development, launch, and iteration
- Work directly with customers to deeply understand pain points, operational bottlenecks, and workflow inefficiencies
- Translate ambiguous real-world problems into intuitive, scalable product experiences
- Partner closely with engineering, design, operations, and sales to deliver products that create measurable customer and business impact
- Define product strategy, roadmap priorities, success metrics, and execution plans across teams
- Drive alignment across leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
- Help establish product standards, operating principles, and execution culture as the PM organization scales
