Mid-Market Implementation Specialist
Hi, I’m Daryl and I’m the Manager of Mid-Market Implementations at Ashby. One of my favorite aspects of Ashby is our operating principle of . Coupled with our principle of caring deeply about our customers, we often find ourselves wondering, “What is a better way to accomplish this?”. That’s why I am thrilled to be hiring a Mid-Market Implementation Specialist, specifically in the PST or MST timezone!
As a member of the Mid-Market Implementation team and part of our growing Professional Services team within Ashby’s Customer Success organization, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help shape this new implementation offering and uplevel the overall customer experience.
About this role:
As an Implementation Specialist aligned to our Mid-Market segment, you will be responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end implementation of Ashby’s solution for Mid-Market and smaller enterprise customers. Your book of business will include about 15 active implementations at a time, each lasting 4-8 weeks. You will work directly with customers to develop and execute implementation plans that ensure a positive customer experience and expedited time to value. Your goal is to support our customers, helping them get up and running swiftly with Ashby so they can achieve their desired outcomes.
Role requirements:
Implementation & Project Management: You have extensive experience leading implementation and onboarding projects in high growth B2B SaaS environments, defining scope, aligning stakeholders, communicating project plans, and delivering results against agreed upon expectations. You keep teams on track to meet milestones, work effectively in a remote first setting, and are willing to travel <10% for customer engagements.
Technical Proficiency: You have experience with complex, multi-module SaaS systems, understand shared configuration and data models, and are comfortable with analytics, conditional logic, and relational data (Ashby knowledge is a plus but not required)
Customer Centricity: You deeply understand customer needs and tailor implementations to meet their specific requirements. You build strong customer relationships by maintaining high levels of engagement and communication; you’re the customer’s proactive guide and advocate throughout the implementation period.
Change Management: You are experienced in navigating change management processes and helping customers adapt to new systems and a refreshed approach.
Best Practices & Recommendations: You take pride in advising customers on best practices specific to their usage of software to ensure optimal value.
Critical Thinking & Solutions Orientation: You proactively address thematic customer opportunities and improve our processes accordingly. You don’t rely on ‘I’ve seen this done,’ but instead think critically to solve problems.
Cross-functional Collaboration: You effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations to align and define progress.
You could be a great fit if:
📣 You demonstrate clear communication. You ask clarifying questions with precision and can distill complex concepts into simple themes.
🎧 You are a great listener. You see your role as the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders so we can ensure that our offerings continue to evolve in accordance with customer needs.
📈 You are a problem solver. You thrive at solving complex challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.
⚡️You know process matters. You are eager to improve processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and efficacy.
🔍 Your peers describe you as detail-oriented and technically proficient. You take pride in internal operations.
📊 You are data-driven. You use metrics and analytics to inform decisions and measure success.
🌍 You are adaptable. You can navigate changes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
🧑🏫 You love to coach. You see every teaching moment as an opportunity and are excited to help our customers grow.
You might not be a great fit if:
You bring project management expertise, but rely on other resources to be technical or product subject matter experts during implementations.
You prefer managing shorter implementations of less than 30 days.
You typically manage only a few simultaneous implementations at a time - This segment moves with urgency and we balance a book of business of about 15 implementations at a time
You are accustomed to defining ideas and strategies, yet not responsible for their execution.
You prefer working with a simple product (such as a point solution).
You prefer exclusively to build (rather than build, iterate, optimize).
Our Philosophy
Here are a few key points (relevant to the go-to-market side) that should give you an idea of what it is like to work with us:
We spend a lot of time building best-in-class products since we believe a highly differentiated product is a lot easier to sell.
We want to offer deep expertise whenever we interact with prospects and customers.
We strongly believe that small teams with very talented people (and the right work environment) deliver much better performance than teams with large headcount. We hire and compensate accordingly.
We value a strong sense of ownership, principled thinking over experience, and thoughtful communication (we put a lot of effort into using the right communication channels) - we’ll get into these and other values during the hiring process. Talent Sourcer - Sales
Hi 👋🏼 I'm Steph, one of the Recruiting Managers at Ashby, and I’m excited that we’re growing our GTM Recruiting team! I'm an Ashby customer turned employee as of late 2024. At the time I was so excited to work with and learn from, our VP of People and Talent, and see how this small but mighty company got things done, close to 2 years later I'm even more excited. I joined when the Talent team was just 5 people, and today we are a team of 17 spanning EMEA and North America with dedicated recruiting teams in Engineering, Sales & GTM. This hire will join us to support sourcing for our Sales teams. Joining the Talent team at Ashby is unique - we are the end user of our product and get to work with designers, engineers, marketing and other cross functional teams to share our expertise and feedback. One example of that? Liz’s on our #offeraccepted podcast talking about strategic sourcing work.
Interest in our product is driving amazing growth and, as a People Team, we need to expand our capacity to hire. Not only will you get to help build the people side of our business but you’ll also get to become an expert user of our product and a thought leader on how to use it. You’ll get to make a lasting contribution to the whole recruiting community as we drive improvements across the talent tech space. Check out our as an example of our content creation for the talent community.
Joining us means being part of a talented team, tackling the challenges of our stage, and contributing to our team and product growth. We value humility, continuous improvement and a dedication to excellence (). If you are passionate about bringing your unique strengths to the team and building a culture of success, we would love to hear from you.
Instructions:
Take your time with your application, you do not need to be first to apply or in the first 100 to get this job. We will review EVERY application and speak to the shortlist we make based on the applications. There are no prizes for being first and no advantages to be gained by reaching out, being referred or knowing someone here, so please don't message anyone at Ashby, including anyone on the Talent team.
We review thousands of applications at Ashby, and I thought it might be helpful to share some tips on how certain resumes stand out for TA roles. These are just tips, not requirements, so please only use this if it's helpful to you.
Resumes that show deep full lifecycle sourcing for relevant (SaaS Sales) roles stand out. A sentence saying you’ve sourced a variety of roles doesn’t tell the reader you have experience with Sales leadership or Enterprise AE roles, for example.
Role descriptions on resumes that focus on delivery of hires will stand out. Projects and leadership are great, but I need to see the evidence of you doing the Sourcing work.
Resumes that can clearly show this experience in a growing B2B SaaS organization
The JD states "Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies" and the stand out applications will demonstrate this in their resume
Another note on the JD is around impact: “"Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows" and data can show this impact. Ability to articulate how you’ve conducted root cause analysis to identify and solve problems.
Answers to application questions. Each question has context provided or real meaning for us, beyond what we would see in your resume, and applications that get short listed will have answered these questions.
The Role
Ashby is seeking a Sales Sourcer with a proven track record of discovering and hiring amazing GTM talent. In this role, you will own the end-to-end development and execution of Sourcing strategies to find exceptional talent to fill critical Sales roles.
Success in this role over the next six months will involve finding, engaging and evaluating high quality candidates to meet our company's hiring needs for GTM positions across the business. It will also require building and collating phenomenal talent pools to create a strong infrastructure for future growth.
You will achieve this by:
Finding, engaging and evaluating top talent for Sales positions
Developing passive pipeline processes that focus on the very highest quality of hire as we scale
Discovering and quantifying new talent pools and sourcing channels
Engaging with departmental leaders and hiring managers to expertly qualify requirements and define searches
Focusing on quality and alignment at the optimal volume to meet goals
As you are probably ascertaining from the above – we are looking for a person that gains energy from both strategizing on creative ways to accelerate our hiring as well as getting their hands dirty finding and evaluating candidates.
To be qualified for this role, you must have the following:
Proven track record as an expert Go To Market Sourcer in a Product led company
Experience working on Sales roles from within a SaaS company is critical
Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows, balancing diversity, quality and volume.
Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies that differentiate the talent pipelines from the inbound attraction and referrals that we have traditionally used.
If you need someone else to do any of the following, then this role is probably not for you:
Boolean search and talent mapping activities
Requisition qualification with senior leaders
High volumes of outreach and screening calls
Prioritization of your workload
Benefits
Competitive salary and equity.
10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.
Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive!
$100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval.
If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us.
Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply.

Your Recruiter will be me (Steph), I will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews.
A word from a future colleague!
Hello, I’m . As the first sourcer (and person!) to join the TA team under Jim, I’ve enjoyed not only seeing the Talent function gain its momentum and grow with Ashby, but also having real impact on that growth. One of my favorite things about being part of this team is the ability to operate with a reasonable amount of autonomy and define what “great” looks like. Ashby as a product isn’t recycling what’s already been done, and with the right mix of expertise and principled thinking, the way we find and attract talent doesn’t have to either.
About Ashby
We’re building the next generation of enterprise software and we’re starting with a suite of products that help talent leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers run their hiring process significantly better. We are well-funded, have incredible product market fit, and are backed by great investors, including Y Combinator, Elad Gil and Lachy Groom.
Our product and growth are exceptional. Ashby All-in-One is powerful, easy to use, and replaces several venture-backed companies' worth of products (often with a better experience). We have notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. Our growth and retention metrics are best-in-class among our peers: we have tens of millions in ARR, growing >100% year over year, over 4,000 customers, very low churn, and many years of runway.
