Position Overview
Allen Control Systems is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, optimization, and implementation of production processes for robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in process and tooling development, equipment integration, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for system components, including workflow layouts, assembly methods, and automation integration to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software, simulation tools, and statistical analysis (e.g., Minitab or SPC) to model processes, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements in cycle times and yield.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles, ensuring seamless transition from prototyping to high-volume production.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues using methodologies like 8D or Fishbone diagrams, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve inefficiencies.
- Manage equipment setup, validation, and maintenance for manufacturing tools, including CNC machines, test fixtures, and automated assembly lines.
- Conduct process capability studies, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies to validate measurement systems and ensure data reliability for quality assessments.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like OEE, throughput, and scrap rates; generate reports and support continuous improvement initiatives through lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Integrate supplier processes by evaluating vendor performance and developing protocols for incoming materials and components.
What You’ll Need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process design, equipment integration, and analysis in a systems or electronics manufacturing environment.

About The Role:
We are looking for a Mechanical Drafter to support our engineering team in developing detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and documentation for our autonomous defense systems. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and own the infrastructure powering the development of ACS’s autonomous counter-drone systems. You will manage a 130+ GPU bare-metal Kubernetes cluster, own our CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our systems run reliably in both lab and field environments.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters on bare-metal infrastructure hosting 130+ NVIDIA GPUs, with hybrid burst capability to AWS for scalable compute and storage workloads.
- Manage NVIDIA GPU clusters for ML training.
- Own the full CI/CD pipeline from source to deployment, including artifact signing, build automation, and version pinning, ensuring repeatable delivery to cloud and edge targets.
- Build and maintain the observability stack, including log aggregation, metrics collection, alerting, and dashboards providing real-time visibility into cluster health and system performance. Collaborate with computer vision, robotics, and software engineering teams to build low-friction developer tooling that accelerates iteration on the ACS turret platform.
- Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Helm, or Ansible across on-prem and cloud deployments.
- Manage network configuration, storage provisioning, and security hardening for the bare-metal cluster in compliance with applicable defense security requirements.
What You’ll Need
- Skill at Python programming and Bash scripting
- 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, with hands-on experience in production Kubernetes environments.
- Deep expertise in bare-metal Kubernetes administration, including CNI configuration, storage backends, node management, and cluster upgrades.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support the hands-on build, test, and iteration of prototype hardware at ACS. Working directly alongside our mechanical and electrical engineers, you will play a central role in the R&D process, helping bring early-stage designs to life, identifying failure modes, and feeding real-world findings back into the development cycle.
What You’ll Do
- Build and integrate prototype mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions, with an emphasis on speed-to-test and iterative refinement.
- Conduct functional and performance testing on prototype hardware, collect data, and clearly document results to support engineering analysis and design decisions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and anomalies on prototype systems, identifying root causes and working with engineers to implement fixes quickly.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment to fabricate, modify, or rework parts and assemblies as the design evolves.
- Collaborate directly with mechanical and electrical engineers to provide hands-on feedback that improves design for assembly, reliability, and testability.
- Maintain accurate records of build procedures, test results, modifications, and known issues to support the broader R&D team.
- Uphold safety and quality standards in the lab and shop environment at all times.
What You’ll Need
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, testing, or hands-on R&D support; we welcome all skill levels and provide full on-the-job training for motivated candidates.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced prototype environment where designs change frequently and problem-solving on the fly is the norm.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to guide hands-on build and assembly work.
- Strong attention to detail and diagnostic skills, with a genuine curiosity for understanding how things work and why they fail.
- Collaborative team player who communicates clearly with engineers and takes ownership of tasks from start to finish.

Position Overview
We are hiring an Office Administrator to help keep ACS running smoothly day to day. You will serve as a friendly, reliable first point of contact in our office and a key partner to our Office Manager, owning the administrative and logistics work that keeps the team unblocked. This is an in-office, hands-on role best suited for someone who loves staying organized, follows through, and takes pride in creating a great workplace experience.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the front-door experience: greet guests, manage check-ins, handle calls and correspondence, and maintain a professional, welcoming office environment.
- Keep office operations running smoothly: manage mail, deliveries, supplies, and day-to-day coordination so the team can stay focused on their work.
- Coordinate and track shipments for marketing materials and remote/new hire kits; maintain inventory and ensure packages go out accurately and on time.
- Process mail, receipts, and invoices accurately and promptly; maintain organized filing systems, trackers, and documentation to keep office workflows up to date.
- Support vendor coordination and facilities issue triage, particularly when the Office Manager or Facilities Technician is unavailable.
- Support office events, team activities, and onboarding logistics to ensure new hires have a smooth setup experience from day one.
What You’ll Need
- 1–3 years of administrative, office support, or customer service experience.
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent follow-through; nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor; proactive in anticipating needs before being asked.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and adapting quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems; proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Slack preferred.
- Understanding of secure workplace practices, including visitor logs, badge compliance, and comfort working within regulated environments such as CMMC/ITAR frameworks.
- Experience in a startup, tech, or engineering environment is a plus, as is experience with shipments, inventory, or materials logistics.
