About the Role
We are looking for a founding UX Validation Lead to build and lead our UX/HMI validation practice from the ground up. You will define the bridge between early-stage HMI concepts and production-grade software quality. This is a hands-on role: you will set the test approach, build the automation infrastructure, and grow a team of test engineers into domain test specialists.
What You'll Do
Define and drive the end-to-end HMI/UX validation strategy, establishing quality standards for display logic, control flows, and user experience across the platform.
Build and scale automated UI testing infrastructure, including test harnesses, simulators, visual regression frameworks, and CI/CD integration to enable efficient validation from HIL to full-vehicle testing.
Lead cross-functional efforts to debug complex UI and system issues, partner with TPM and validation teams on feature test plans, and mentor a high-performing test engineering team.
Qualifications
7+ years of software validation experience, with significant depth in UI/UX, display, or HMI testing.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience owning a validation domain, defining test strategy, methodology, and automation infrastructure from the ground up.
Strong background in automated UI testing and validation, including frameworks such as Appium and end-to-end test planning from requirements through release sign-off.
Experience with Linux, QNX, or Android Automotive (AAOS), with an understanding of automotive networking (CAN, Ethernet) and its interaction with HMI systems.
Nice to Have
Deep expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or QNX.
Visual regression tools (e.g., Applitools, Percy).
Modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Dana is Applied's agentic platform for physical AI industries: apps, agents, and data on one governed platform.
You will own Dana's agent platform: how agents are built, run, evaluated, governed, and improved. You embed with the agent engineering team and own the product in detail, from harnesses and sandboxing to evals, model serving, and memory. We weight depth of agent experience over years; former founders are welcome.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
Own the agent platform product end to end, from how agents are created to how they're trusted in production
Work with engineers daily on what is built and how it's built, and own the product and technical tradeoffs
Make build/buy/partner calls across the agent stack (harnesses, sandboxing, evals, serving) and defend them with evidence
Prototype and build on the platform yourself
Track the agent landscape (labs, infra startups, open source) and keep our stack choices ahead of it
We're looking for someone who has:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
Hands-on experience with agents: shipped an agent product, built harnesses or eval loops, or founded in the space
Fluency in the current agent stack: tool use and MCP, sandboxing, evals, serving, context and memory
Deep, current knowledge of the agent landscape and where it's going
Technical competence to make tradeoffs with engineers and prototype within the platform using AI tools
A record of shipping fast
Nice to have:
Founder or founding-team experience, ideally in agent infrastructure
Public technical work such as open source projects, demos, or technical writing
Experience building products for enterprise or safety-critical environments

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions
Dana is Applied's AI platform for enterprises in physical industries: apps, agents, and data on one governed platform.
You will own Dana's core platform: everything customers touch to build, deploy, share, and govern apps on Dana. You own the product end to end: the feature set, the user experience, and the product and technical tradeoffs behind them. Dana is multi-tenant and serves critical enterprise workloads, so scale and reliability tradeoffs are part of the job.
At Applied you will:
Define and ship the platform's core capabilities from first spec to customer hands, for builders who range from platform engineers to domain experts who have never written code
Own product quality and user experience across the platform; success is measured by product quality customers feel
Partner directly with platform engineering on the big architectural choices, and own the product side of multi-tenancy, scale, and reliability tradeoffs
Work with forward-deployed engineers and design partners on what customers actually need, and join enterprise onboarding and security-review conversations
We're looking for someone with:
Bachelors' degree or higher in a relevant field
3+ years of product management on a cloud or SaaS product shipped to external customers
Owned a platform capability end to end, such as integrations, identity, permissions, or hosting
Technical fluency to argue architecture tradeoffs with senior engineers and prototype with AI tools
An understanding of the scale and reliability tradeoffs of multi-tenant products
Enterprise exposure, such as security reviews and IT or admin requirements
Product taste: cares how the product feels to the person using it, not only that it ships
Nice to have:
Experience building developer tools, data platforms, or low/no-code products
Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI applications
Previous experience at a high-growth startup or on a new product from its earliest stages
