ABOUT CLICKUP
At ClickUp, we're not just building software. We're architecting the future of work! In a world overwhelmed by work sprawl, we saw a better way. That's why we created the first truly converged AI workspace, unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI, empowering millions of teams to break free from silos, reclaim their time, and unlock new levels of productivity. At ClickUp, you'll have the opportunity to learn, use, and pioneer AI in ways that shape not only our product, but the future of work itself. Join us and be part of a bold, innovative team that's redefining what's possible!
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring the next generation of product managers. AI has collapsed the work that used to sit between an idea and a working version of it, and for the first time, PMs can be true builders. The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
A Principal Product Manager shapes high level strategy and product direction at the company level. You make the calls on the hardest product questions we face. Where the converged workspace is going, what AI for work actually looks like in three years, which bets matter. You build to show your thinking, not just describe it, and the argument is stronger when you have already put the idea on screen. You pull together data, customer escalations, support trends, and usage patterns and bring clarity on where we are winning and where to push next. The ways you find to move faster become how PMs across the company work. The stronger your craft, the more your strategy lands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shape ClickUp's product direction at the company level. Own the hardest, most consequential product questions we face and drive them to resolution.
Define where the converged workspace is going and what AI for work looks like over a multi-year horizon. Hold that picture and make it legible to everyone else.
Build to prove the point. Prototype the future you are arguing for so the strategy is concrete, not theoretical.
Synthesize data, customer escalations, usage trends, and market signals into a coherent picture of where we are winning and where we need to move.
Set the standard for how PMs across the function work. The patterns you invent for compressing your loop become how the whole PM team operates.
Advise and inform executive leadership on product strategy, major bets, and where the company should and should not invest.
Represent ClickUp externally on product vision when relevant, including with key customers, analysts, and the broader product community.
Identify the gaps in our product thinking and build the frameworks that close them.
QUALIFICATIONS
8-10+ years in product management, with a clear record of operating at company-shaping scope in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
Deep experience owning the most ambiguous and consequential product decisions, the ones with no obvious answer and real stakes.
Exceptional ability to synthesize competing inputs, customer signals, business constraints, and technical realities into a clear direction.
Demonstrated ability to build and evangelize a product vision that earns trust across engineering, design, and executive leadership.
History of raising the craft of the PMs around you, not just delivering your own output.
Fluent in data. You define the metrics that matter at the company level and you know when the data is incomplete or misleading.
Deep command of AI tooling. You are not experimenting with it, you are building with it and setting the example for the function.
Outstanding written and verbal communicator. You can make a hard argument simply and land it with any audience.
AI PROFICIENCY
Generate artifacts that accelerate alignment. Leverage AI to draft PRDs, map user flows, validate product launch readiness, synthesize research and customer feedback, produce competitive analyses, and write release notes.
Prototype and iterate with AI coding tools. Build functional prototypes independently of design and engineering using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
QA your own work. Use browser automation tools to test flows, verify edge cases, and confirm what shipped matches what was specced.
Stay current and apply it. Familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, and MCP integrations is expected. Actively experiment and fold new capabilities into your workflow.

The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
A Senior Product Manager owns a meaningful surface of ClickUp and is accountable for whether it gets better. You decide what to build and why, then go build a working version of it. You prototype in Cursor and Claude when an idea is faster shown than written. You live in the data and the customer signal, and the time between spotting a problem and having something people can react to is measured in days, not weeks. The PMs who compound the most impact at this level are the ones who keep finding leverage that did not exist last quarter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery for a defined product surface, balancing near-term wins with longer-horizon investments.
Run continuous discovery. Building and using agents to monitor and synthesize that part of your job.
Write sharp PRDs and specs that give engineering and design what they need to move fast without ambiguity.
Define success metrics before you build, track them after you ship, and iterate when outcomes do not match expectations.
Prototype your own ideas using Cursor, Claude Code, and our Prototype Playground. Show the concept before filing the ticket.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, and GTM without needing to be managed through the process.
Present your roadmap and results clearly to stakeholders and leadership, and update them when direction changes.
Spot friction in how the team operates and suggest concrete improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years in product management with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product area in a B2B SaaS environment.
Proven track record of shipping. You have taken features from concept through launch and iterated based on data.
Strong prioritization instincts. You know how to say no and can defend it.
High customer empathy and the ability to separate what users say from what they actually need.
Comfortable with data. You define your own metrics, query dashboards, and make arguments from numbers.
Clear written and verbal communicator. Your specs and strategy docs create alignment without requiring a follow-up meeting.
Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace. You do not wait to be told what to do.
Hands-on with AI tools. You already use them and are always looking for new ways to get more out of them.

The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
A Staff Product Manager operates and drives vision across product areas. You own a problem space that spans multiple surfaces, or one so foundational that getting it right shapes how everything else at ClickUp works. You still build. The strategy is sharper because you are prototyping the cross-cutting workflow yourself, reading data wherever it shows up, and sitting on customer calls that span the whole problem. You scale impact by inventing leverage that other PMs adopt, wiring up AI workflows that keep you current on more signals than any one person could manually track. The scope is wide on purpose, and you find new ways to cover it.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and own a cross-functional problem space or a foundational platform area whose quality shapes outcomes across multiple product surfaces.
Drive strategic alignment across product areas. Identify the decisions that unblock the most work and make them.
Synthesize signals from customer calls, data, support trends, and partner feedback across your entire scope, not just your immediate surface.
Prototype cross-cutting workflows and concepts yourself. The strategy is more credible when you have already tested it.
Identify leverage and share it. Build AI workflows, frameworks, and patterns that other PMs on the team can adopt.
Mentor and stretch Senior PMs. Raise the floor of the function, not just your own output.
Represent the product voice in senior leadership conversations and contribute to decisions that span multiple teams.
Contribute to how the PM function operates, including how we run discovery, define quality, and measure success.
QUALIFICATIONS
6-8+ years in product management, with a clear record of operating across multiple product areas or owning a foundational platform.
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment without authority, across engineering, design, data, and GTM.
Systems thinker. You see second-order effects and account for them before they become problems.
Able to hold strategy and execution at the same time. You do not hand off the detail when the scope gets bigger.
Track record of mentoring and elevating other PMs, not just shipping your own work.
Strong data instincts. You can pull your own analysis, define the right metrics, and spot when a number is telling the wrong story.
Experienced with AI tooling and actively finding new ways to scale your own coverage through it.
Proven communicator at the executive level. You can frame a complex problem crisply and land a recommendation with senior stakeholders.
