As a Staff Software Engineer on the Staking Platform team within the Platform group, you'll serve as Coinbase's definitive Solana staking technical authority, owning strategy across validator operations, staking integrations, and protocol evolution. Coinbase operates one of the largest Solana staking operations in the world, managing approximately 9.25% of all staked SOL. What you'll do:

Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of software engineering with extensive hands-on Solana protocol experience, including deep familiarity with the runtime, validator mechanics, staking economics, consensus (Tower BFT), and the validator client ecosystem at the source-code level.
- Production-level proficiency in Rust and/or Go, with deep experience building and operating complex distributed infrastructure at scale (bare metal, cloud, networking, observability).

As an Accounting Manager, Prime Financing, you'll join the Accounting team within Finance and own the end-to-end accounting function for Coinbase's prime financing and brokerage business. As a Senior Accountant on the Capital Markets Accounting team within Finance, you'll play a critical role in supporting Coinbase's expanding capital markets businesses. You'll own the accounting and regulatory reporting for our registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Broker-Dealer entities, helping ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence as we continue to scale.
This is a highly visible role that partners across Accounting, Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to launch new products, strengthen controls, and support a rapidly evolving business at the forefront of digital assets.
What you'll do
- Own the monthly close for Coinbase's FCM and Broker-Dealer entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and quarterly and annual reporting.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings to the CFTC, NFA, and other applicable regulators, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of daily, monthly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits for the FCM and Broker-Dealer entities, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving successful audit outcomes.
- Design, execute, and enhance internal controls over accounting, regulatory reporting, and compliance processes.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to support new product launches and evolving business initiatives, ensuring accounting and regulatory readiness from day one.
- Monitor regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, proactively identifying and escalating risks while helping strengthen operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting operations through automation, scalable processes, and thoughtful use of technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with an active CPA license.
- 5–7 years of experience in public accounting (Big Four preferred) and/or industry experience supporting Broker-Dealer, FCM, or other regulated financial services organizations.
- Experience with regulatory reporting, financial close, audits, and internal controls within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of FINRA/SEC Broker-Dealer regulations, CFTC/NFA requirements for registered FCMs, and accounting guidance including ASC 815 (Derivatives and Hedging) and 17 CFR 1.20.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Availability to work Eastern Time hours to support daily regulatory filing deadlines.
- Experience using generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining appropriate human oversight and high-quality outputs.

As an Internal Audit IT Associate Manager, you'll join the Internal Audit team and lead the execution of IT and security audits across Coinbase's global cloud infrastructure, security operations, and crypto-native products. This team delivers independent, third-line assurance over technology, information security, and IT governance, helping Coinbase protect customers and maintain trust at scale. You'll own audits end-to-end, from planning through reporting, mentor junior team members supporting your engagements, and translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
What you'll do:
- Own end-to-end execution of IT and security audits covering cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), application security, identity and access management, vendor/third-party risk, and blockchain-related products including wallets and cold storage.
- Lead audit planning, fieldwork, and stakeholder management, synthesizing findings into evidence-based reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
- Direct and develop junior audit team members supporting your engagements, providing day-to-day guidance, reviewing workpapers, and coaching on technical and professional growth.
- Drive continuous monitoring and validation of remediated audit findings, tracking management responses and flagging delays or emerging risk themes.
- Partner with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to identify control improvements and risk mitigation opportunities while preserving third-line independence and objectivity.
- Build and maintain a current understanding of IT, security, and financial services regulatory requirements to assess their impact on Coinbase's control environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in IT internal audit, information security audit, or first-line technology/security operations, with at least 1 year managing audit processes and staff.
- Hands-on audit experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including IAM policies, security configurations, encryption, logging, and network architecture.
- Working knowledge of audit and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, or ITIL, with relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent audits across time zones and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with crypto, blockchain infrastructure, or financial services audit environments.
