The digital goods market is projected to rise to $400+ billion by 2030, with some segments experiencing double and triple digit growth. The software landscape is rich with tools and services to help businesses build their ideal commerce solutions, but these are fragmented and demand deep knowledge of the commerce value chain to get the most out of. We’re building an ambitious new platform for digital goods sellers to craft their ideal commerce experiences for their unique customer base. We’re still in stealth mode, so get in touch to learn more. 🥷 What Product Design is at Colossal At Colossal, Product Design is not seen as an internal stakeholder executing pre-defined concepts. Design sits at the centre of our product efforts, and involves constant collaboration, research and creative problem solving. Design is here to uncover insights, challenge assumptions, and help us build a category-defining product. What we’re looking for 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing polished, user-centric interfaces and product experiences across web and mobile Familiarity with concepts, paradigms and emerging design patterns in AI-focused products and services Strong systems thinking, with ability to create scalable, reusable design patterns with attention to detail across both visual and UX Strong proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as interaction design tools such as Rive and Jitter Experience using emerging tools to communicate your vision and ideas as interactive prototypes, using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Figma Make Strong understanding of the contemporary landscape of frontend tooling and frameworks, with experience to back this up What you’ll do Work as part of our newly formed Product Design team, working alongside our Product Design Lead and Founder-CEO Design core software interfaces, and features that integrate generative AI into real world product experiences Play a key role in defining our foundational UX for a game-changing commerce builder solution Contribute and support our overarching brand design and early product marketing efforts What we offer Competitive salary Remote working Quarterly team get-togethers Access to the latest tools and services (no legacy software or MS Teams here!) What we’re looking for 5+ years experience building service-based software products end to end, ideally at early-stage startups Generalist mindset with experience across the full stack Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and developer tooling Comfortable owning products and features end to end, and taking responsibility for performance and optimisation Strong communicator, able to distribute knowledge across the team effectively through documentation, talks, demos and presentations A current understanding of AI-based tools, methods and paradigms Familiar with “app store” paradigms and development frameworks (bonus if in commerce), and know what good looks like from a developer experience standpoint What you’ll do Build and own core backend services for our commerce infrastructure tools, including billing, workflows, and financial operations Build features that integrate generative AI into real world product experiences Play a key role in software architecture design, including research, writing POCs for further refinement Implement Figma-based designs, motion and UX with precision How we hire Initial call with the founder (30 mins) Complete a take home exercise Task review and pair programming with a team member (1 hour) Meet with the product team for 2-way interview (30 mins) Offer stage (including reference checks) To apply, please send your resume and a brief intro describing your interest to: careers@colossal.fm
