What we’re doing isn’t easy. But nothing worth doing ever is.
We envision a future powered by robots that work seamlessly with human teams. We build the artificial intelligence that enables service robots to collaborate with people and adapt to dynamic human environments. Join our mission-driven, venture-backed team as we build out our customer-facing operations arm.
As part of Diligent Robotics’ operations team, you will uphold the highest standards for safe clinical use of robots in real-world hospital environments. Through excellent communication, critical thinking, and documentation, you will work alongside your teammates to bring automation to healthcare. This position will work effectively as a team to ensure exceptional results to our hospital partners
This position is located on-site in Austin, TX and you must be local, willing to relocate, or a current Diligent Robotics employee, to be considered. This role will require flexibility due to us being a 24/7 operation and a shift schedule will be put in place that will require working days, nights and weekends.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring a fleet of mobile service robots and providing live support and in the moment troubleshooting in a hospital environment using problem solving skills
Detailed ticketing of issues and situations unable to resolve at first touch to escalate internally to other departments
Prioritizing the customer experience by communicating with them when needed, critical thinking for unplanned scenarios, and ensuring their expectations are always met or exceeded
Collecting data in a variety of real-world situations, providing detailed and accurate product feedback
Being an ambassador for the company
A good candidate would be, at minimum:
You have a good computing background, and can quickly learn to use new software
An excellent written and verbal communicator: you convey information to internal stakeholders in an organized and easily parsable manner
Organized: you can juggle and make progress on multiple tasks simultaneously
Self-sufficient and whip-smart: you get things done, learn what you don’t know, and can make data-driven decisions independently, as circumstances require
Flexible and willing to work different shift hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends: you understand that our customers (i.e. hospitals) are open 24/7, that our robots must be running smoothly all the time, and that your schedule may shift as customer needs change over time
Willing to be COVID-19 and flu vaccinated and complete a HIPAA training course
The ideal candidate would be:
Responsive and responsible: you commit to deadlines and err on the side of over-communication
Results-oriented: you're happy to observe and take notes on end-users interacting with the robot all day if that's what it takes
Vigilant about the details: you notice when a checklist item is left unchecked and it gnaws at you until it's done
Passionate about healthcare and technology coming together to help people
Willing to work holidays: you understand that our customers (i.e. hospitals) don't shut down during the holidays and neither can our robots
A budding techy: you are the go-to among friends for fixing their technical problems.
Formerly employed or shadowed in the healthcare space: you have an insider understanding of the vernacular, organizational structure, and operational processes of hospitals
Benefits:
Experience working with some of the leading experts in robotics
Potential to radically change the future of healthcare
Be part of a team environment

Senior Product Manager, Robotics & Autonomy
What we're doing isn't easy, but nothing worth doing ever is.
At Diligent Robotics, we envision a future powered by robots that work seamlessly with human teams. We build artificial intelligence that enables service robots to collaborate with people and adapt to dynamic human environments.
Our robots operate every day in hospitals, helping healthcare staff spend less time on routine work and more time caring for patients. Operating a real-world fleet gives us something few robotics companies have: continuous customer feedback and operational data that directly shapes the next generation of Physical AI.
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Robotics & Autonomy to define and execute the product strategy for some of the most critical capabilities in our robotics platform. You'll work at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, AI, and software engineering to translate business priorities, customer needs, and technical opportunities into a clear product roadmap that drives measurable outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who understands complex autonomous systems and enjoys working alongside world-class engineers to bring ambitious technology from concept into production.
Responsibilities
Own the product strategy and roadmap for key Robotics and Autonomy initiatives, balancing customer impact, technical feasibility, and long-term platform investments.
Define product requirements for autonomy, navigation, perception, fleet intelligence, simulation, and robotics platform capabilities.
Partner closely with Engineering, AI, Robotics, Customer Success, Operations, and Leadership to align priorities across the organization.
Translate customer feedback, fleet telemetry, and operational insights into product decisions that improve robot performance, reliability, and user experience.
Prioritize investments using data, customer value, technical complexity, and business impact.
Drive cross-functional execution from concept through launch, ensuring engineering teams have clear requirements, measurable success criteria, and well-defined priorities.
Develop product metrics that measure adoption, reliability, autonomy performance, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
Partner with engineering teams to define release milestones, evaluate tradeoffs, and remove ambiguity throughout development.
Stay informed on advances in robotics, autonomous vehicles, AI, and Physical AI to identify opportunities that strengthen Diligent's competitive advantage.
Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress clearly to executives and stakeholders across the company.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of complex technical products.
Experience working with robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, or other cyber-physical systems.
Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and execute technical roadmaps in partnership with engineering organizations.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand robotics architectures, AI systems, and software development processes without necessarily writing production code.
Experience working in agile product development environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
Strong analytical skills and experience using quantitative and qualitative data to drive prioritization.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience shipping autonomy, robotics, autonomous vehicle, or AI-enabled products from concept through commercial deployment.
Familiarity with robotics software stacks such as ROS, perception systems, navigation, planning, simulation, or machine learning.
Experience working with fleet telemetry, operational analytics, or real-world robotics deployments.
Understanding of modern AI technologies including foundation models, reinforcement learning, computer vision, or Physical AI.
Experience building products for enterprise customers, healthcare, logistics, or other operational environments.
MBA or Master's degree in a technical discipline.

Willing to be vendor credentialed: our customers have strict standards and employment will be dependent on obtaining vendor credentials, the process of which will include various immunizations, a background check, a drug screen, among other steps
The ideal candidate would be:
Extraverted: you can strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone loves your presence
Responsive and responsible: you commit to deadlines, err on the side of over-communication, and understand the challenges of working with some co-workers that may be remote.
Results-oriented: you’re happy to observe and take notes on end users interacting with the robot all day if that’s what it takes
Passionate about healthcare and technology coming together to help people
Formerly employed in the healthcare space: you have an insider understanding of the vernacular, organizational structure, and operational processes of hospitals
Passionate and clear-eyed when it comes to robots: you understand that there’s a gap between technological reality and media-driven expectations and are excited about the opportunity to move the industry forward by whatever means necessary, even if it isn’t glamorous

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

Fleet Engineer
Austin, Texas, United States
Apply
What we’re doing isn’t easy, but nothing worth doing ever is.
Diligent builds helpful robots that work safely and autonomously in real world environments. We move quickly, solve messy problems, and care deeply about reliability at scale. As a Fleet Engineer, you'll own the reliability and continuous improvement of our deployed robotic fleet — leading hands-on investigations into how and why robots fail in the field, across the mobile base, charging/docking, motion and power, connectivity (modem), and sensor hardware. You'll combine remote data analysis with bench/lab failure analysis at our Austin HQ, turning field-technician reports and fleet data into clear problem statements, validated root causes, and corrective actions driven to closure with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and vendors.
This role is based in Austin, TX. It will require 15-20% travel along with close collaboration across software, hardware, operations, and product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Reliability & Hands-On Debugging: Lead triage and bench/lab failure analysis across the mobile base, charging/docking, motion and power, connectivity, and sensor hardware —
getting hands-on with returned units to reproduce, instrument, and isolate the failure.
Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose failures from component level (electrical, mechanical, firmware) to system level, applying standard methodologies (5-why, fishbone, fault-tree, FMEA, 8D).
Data-Driven Investigation: Pull and analyze fleet data and logs to define problem statements, surface trends, and validate hypotheses quantitatively — accounting for confounding factors, base rates, and sample size.
Field Synthesis & On-Call: Turn field-technician reports into crisp problem statements; own escalated issues (on-call) to support the field team and minimize downtime.
Corrective Action & Cross-Functional: Drive short- and long-term fixes (hardware, software, operational, process) to closure with engineering, operations, and product — including supplier corrective actions and design feedback with vendors and manufacturing.
Tooling & Test Infrastructure: Build the fixtures, instrumentation, and bench test setups that accelerate debug workflows.
Documentation & Standards: Document debugging procedures and root-cause findings; contribute to fleet reliability standards.
Growth: Raise the team's investigative rigor, work closely with technicians, and grow into mentoring over time.
What Success Looks Like
Improved FPY and reduced rework rates across production builds.
Reduced per-unit cycle time for test/provisioning while increasing test coverage.
Stable, fully automated provisioning flow with minimal manual intervention.
Basic Qualifications
Hands-on electrical debugging — schematics, multimeter/oscilloscope, power, connector and harness fault isolation, basic instrumentation.
Hands-on mechanical debugging — mechanisms, tolerances and fits, fixturing, dimensional/force measurement, mechanical drawings; able to pinpoint what is physically wrong with a unit.
Hypothesis-driven, quantitative debugging — frame the problem, design discriminating tests, reason about confounding factors, base rates, and sample size, and update conclusions when the evidence contradicts them.
System log analysis — read raw system/robot logs to reconstruct events and isolate failures (the backbone of most investigations).
End-to-end versatility — comfortable across subsystems, running an investigation independently to conclusion.
3+ years in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or complex electro-mechanical systems — or an adjacent field (medical devices, industrial automation, semiconductor and capital-equipment field service, automotive or aerospace Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul, EV charging). 5+ years / senior scope preferred.
Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field (required); Master's a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with robotics stacks (ROS or equivalent) and robotic sensor calibration/test.
Experience with deployed robot or autonomous-vehicle fleets.
Networking (Ethernet, CAN bus, time-sync) and firmware familiarity.
Driving supplier corrective actions and design feedback with vendors and manufacturing.
Hardware-in-the-loop test and validation-rig design.
Compute platforms (NVIDIA Jetson/Orin, GPUs).

Diligent Robotics builds socially intelligent robots that work alongside healthcare teams so clinicians can focus on patient care. Our flagship robot, Moxi, operates in hospitals across the United States and takes on non-clinical tasks like delivering supplies, running labs, and relieving the burden on nurses and staff.
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Diligent is a subsidiary of Serve Robotics (Nasdaq: SERV), a leader in autonomous delivery. We’re a mission-driven team building hardware and Embodied AI at the intersection of robotics and healthcare. We’re scaling commercial deployments and, as part of a publicly traded parent, we are raising the bar across our finance and accounting function.
The Role
We are hiring a Controller to own the accounting function at Diligent Robotics. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Controller will lead monthly and quarterly close, own revenue and inventory accounting, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact with our external auditors. The role translates a scaling RaaS business into clean, GAAP-compliant financials on a public company calendar.
This is a high-visibility role for an experienced public company Controller who wants to apply their playbook to a fast-growing subsidiary, build a best-in-class accounting org, and partner directly with the Head of Finance, CEO, and parent company leadership.
Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
Own revenue recognition across all Diligent commercial offerings & robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) arrangements.
Review customer contracts to identify performance obligations, determine SSPs, allocate transaction price, and document recognition methodology in technical memos.
Evaluate lease components under ASC 842 within customer arrangements and coordinate with legal and sales on contract structure.
Establish and maintain revenue policies, controls, and workflows that scale with contract volume and deal complexity.
Inventory, Robot Fixed Assets & Cost Accounting
Own inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, service parts, and customer-deployed units, including capitalization, standard costing, and revaluation.
Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations across contract manufacturers and internal locations; investigate and resolve variances.
Determine and defend COGS methodology, purchase price variance analysis, capitalized variances, and excess and obsolete (E&O) reserves.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure BOMs, routings, and landed costs flow correctly into the general ledger.
Own fixed asset accounting for the deployed Moxi fleet and other PP&E, including capitalization policy, useful lives, depreciation methodology, and related disclosures.
Monitor for impairment triggers, oversee asset retirements and disposals, and ensure accurate tracking of fleet movements between inventory, capitalized fixed assets, and customer sites.
External Audit & Public Company Interface
Serve as the primary point of contact for the parent company’s external auditors during interim, quarterly review, and year-end audit procedures.
Coordinate with internal audit (Serve or co-sourced) on SOX walkthroughs, testing, and remediation at the subsidiary level.
Own the PBC (prepared-by-client) process. Deliver complete, well-supported schedules on time and defend technical positions in auditor meetings.
Draft and present technical accounting memos on revenue, inventory, leases, and other judgment areas.
Support Serve Robotics’ external reporting, including quarterly and annual filings, by delivering accurate, well-documented subsidiary financials on the parent’s close calendar.
Close, Controls & Reporting
Own the monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, intercompany activity, foreign currency, and consolidation deliverables to the parent company.
Establish, document, and operate a SOX-ready control environment appropriate for a public company subsidiary, in coordination with the parent’s SOX program.
Maintain accounting policies, process narratives, and control documentation that support SOX, external audit, and operational scaling.
Oversee AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, equity, and tax provision support in partnership with internal team members and external providers.
Deliver timely, accurate GAAP financial statements and management reporting with clear variance commentary to the Head of Finance and leadership.
Team & Systems
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; build scalable processes, clear ownership, and a strong close calendar as the team grows.
Support our transition from QBO to NetSuite, then drive continuous improvement and automation across NetSuite and connected systems (billing, expense, AP automation, procurement, equity).
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, People, Legal, and Tax to ensure accounting implications are considered in key business decisions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Combination of Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience and industry experience.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years as a Controller (or equivalent functional leader) at a U.S. publicly traded company.
Demonstrated ownership of the external audit relationship at a public company, including direct experience defending technical positions with Big 4 or national firm auditors.
Deep, current expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition across complex, multi-element arrangements.
Deep expertise in inventory and cost accounting in a hardware, manufacturing, or similar physical-product environment.
Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
Experience operating within or implementing SOX 404 controls.
Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce audit-quality technical memos and present to senior and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Controller experience at a hardware, robotics, medical device, or other asset-heavy technology company.
Experience supporting a subsidiary of a publicly traded parent, including parent company consolidation and reporting calendars.
Familiarity with healthcare customer contracting (hospital systems).
