Senior Product Manager

About Esper
Esper revolutionizes device management by redefining what it should be: a driver of business growth. With advanced and modern capabilities, automation replaces outdated workflows, re-provisioning becomes obsolete, and managing by exception transforms efficiency, resulting in increased efficiency, improved ROI, and bolsters security for device fleets of all sizes. Esper has been recognized as number 735 on Inc. Magazine's 2025 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America, and 133 on the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Some of the world’s most innovative brands, like Google, Doordash, Taco Bell, Clinical ink, SF 49ers, and Intelity, rely on Esper to deliver exceptional device experiences. Esper partners with the leading mobile device hardware manufacturers, solution providers, and distributors globally.
About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to take new products from nothing to shipped.
Most of what you'll work on won't exist yet. There'll be a rough sense that a problem is worth solving, some customer noise pointing at it, and not much else. Your first few months go into finding out whether it's real: customer conversations, market sizing, working out who else is playing here. Then you decide what we should build, and you go build it.
The arc doesn't stop at launch. It runs from that first customer call through to the revenue post-mortem six months later, and discovery, design, pricing, launch and the number at the end all sit with you.
You'll report to product leadership and work closely with our CEO, which means you're in the room when direction gets set and you're expected to have a view.
That's a lot of ground for one person. It works because of how we operate: the product team uses AI heavily, mostly through tooling we've built ourselves. We'd expect you to work the same way, and to bring us things we haven't thought of.
What You'll Do
Strategy for your product area. You write it, you make the case for it, and you change it when you learn something that changes the picture.
Five or six years in product management. What you've shipped matters more to us than where you shipped it.
Beyond That
Compensation Band
$185K - $210K OTE
Perks & Benefits
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Esper, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What You'll Do
Strategy for your product area. You write it, you make the case for it, and you change it when you learn something that changes the picture.
- The roadmap. You decide what makes the cut. Sometimes that means turning down a good idea from someone senior, and you should be able to explain why without flinching.
- Discovery. Customer calls and demos you run yourself, and a clear definition of the problem at the end of them.
- Customer research. You run the conversations yourself rather than reading someone else's notes on them.
- The commercial side. Sizing, pricing input, and a revenue number you help set.
- Daily work with engineering and design, from first prototype through GA.
- Positioning and launch alongside marketing and sales. Also the weeks after launch, which is the part most people skip.
- A working read on what competitors are doing and what it means for us.
- Your own leverage. Nobody is going to hand you a research process or a reporting workflow. Build the agents and automations you need.
- Go-to-market. Positioning, the launch blog, budget for ads, field enablement, and prospect demos when a deal needs product in the room. You build the assets rather than briefing someone else to build them.
Five or six years in product management. What you've shipped matters more to us than where you shipped it.
Beyond That
- Experience with products in their early stages, before there's a playbook to follow.
- Real use of AI in how you work day to day. The PMs here build their own agents for research, synthesis, competitive tracking, marketing, and the repetitive parts of the job. Tell us what you've built and what it saved you.
- A decision you got wrong. Bring it to the interview. What you did next tells us more than a list of wins does.
- Willingness to make a call without complete information. You rarely get it, and waiting has a cost too.
- Strong writing or writing delivered by agents. Much of this job is documents that get read when you're not in the room to explain them - or by agents.
- Enough technical depth that engineers take you seriously and you can question an estimate.

About The Role
This is an engineering role with a customer axis — not a sales role with a technical veneer. Solutions Engineers at Esper build things: integration tooling, validation frameworks, automation pipelines, provisioning scripts, custom device configurations, and proof-of-concept implementations that solve real customer problems. They also run technical evaluations, validate hardware compatibility, respond to security questionnaires, and advise deals on technical feasibility.
The team operates as a customer-facing engineering unit — shipping code that directly enables customer deployments, building custom integrations, deployment automation, reference implementations, and tooling that bridges the gap between Esper’s platform and a customer’s specific environment.
Day-to-day, this role involves using agentic AI workflows to accelerate development and research; validating and integrating OEM hardware into Esper’s platform; writing integration code and automation scripts for customer deployments; leading technical evaluations for enterprise prospects; responding to security questionnaires and RFPs; and serving as the technical point of contact for OEM partners and enterprise customers throughout the sales cycle.

About The Role
As an Enterprise Account Manager, you own the post-sale outcome for a portfolio of active enterprise logos. Your job is not relationship management — it is deployment, execution, and expansion. You close the gap between contract sign and first device live, then drive that deployment from initial install to full fleet scale. You are compensated on what actually gets deployed and what you personally drive to grow, not on organic expansion or renewals alone.
Our best enterprise accounts started small and scaled by orders of magnitude. That scaling comes from the Enterprise Account Manager removing friction, identifying the next division, and connecting the customer's operational reality to Esper's product surface.
The ideal candidate has a post-sale track record with documented ownership of deployment outcomes and self-initiated expansion — not just renewal management or relationship maintenance. Technical fluency at the device operations layer is required. The ability to hold a credible conversation about device provisioning, fleet configuration, and MDM architecture without routing every question to Engineering is non-negotiable.

Technical fluency at the device operations layer is required. The ability to hold a credible conversation about device provisioning, fleet configuration, and MDM architecture without routing every question to Engineering is non-negotiable.
What You'll Do
- Drive first-100-devices-live for every new logo within 90 days of contract sign. Own the calendar, the escalation path, and every blocker between contract and deployment. If it does not deploy, it is not a win.
- Scale deployments from initial install to full fleet. Identify the path initial rollout to MoQ and beyond: additional divisions, new geographies, adjacent device categories, and Esper product expansion (Foundation OS, Airwave, Insite).
- Initiate and close expansion within your book. Find the next division, the next use case, the next product layer. Expansion is a deliberate, AM-driven activity — not a passive receipt of credit from an account that happens to grow.
- Own portfolio-level retention. Churn, payment delays, and stalled deployments are AM problems. Hold gross retention above 95% across your book.
- Manage renewals and document expansion forecasts for each account. Develop accurate ARR forecasts and maintain Salesforce hygiene on all opportunities, device milestones, and next actions.
- Design and deliver QBRs in partnership with the Technical Implementation Management team. Surface deployment progress, expansion opportunities, and product gaps to both the customer and Esper leadership.
- Engage VP and C-level executive sponsors at strategic accounts to demonstrate business value and unlock cross-divisional expansion.
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer. Advocate for product gaps and deployment blockers with Product & Engineering, and surface patterns across your book that inform roadmap prioritization.
- Estimated travel: 15%.
- You have owned post-sale outcomes — not just managed accounts. You can separate the expansion you personally drove from what the customer drove on their own. You are technically fluent at the device operations layer and comfortable in conversations about MDM, device provisioning, and fleet configuration with minimal Engineering support.
- Experience managing enterprise accounts with technically complex deployments — device management, MDM, IoT platforms, field operations software, logistics tech, or similar.
- 4 to 7 years in a post-sale role with documented ownership of expansion outcomes — not just renewal administration or relationship management. A track record of book growth you personally drove versus inbound from the customer.
- Experience selling or expanding into a second product or a new division inside an existing account.
- Proficiency with Salesforce as a system of record. Familiarity with AI tools to work with recording, qualification and forecasting opportunities on Salesforce is expected.
- No vertical requirement. Familiarity with QSR, retail, healthcare, logistics, or payments is a plus. Deployment complexity and technical buyer orientation matter more than vertical pedigree.

The Technical Implementation Manager is the technical backbone of Esper’s customer accounts. This is an engineering role with a customer axis: TIMs own the implementation from contract sign through full fleet scale, and they bring engineering-level depth to every customer engagement. They build things, use AI as a daily tool, and hold the technical relationship inside every account they carry.
TIMs operate as forward-deployed technical experts alongside the Enterprise Account Manager. Together, they close the gap between contract sign and devices live, remove friction, resolve blockers, and connect the customer’s operational reality to Esper’s platform. The best TIMs know their accounts better than the customer knows themselves, and they use that knowledge to drive both customer success and Esper’s revenue growth.
AI is not a side skill at Esper. TIMs are expected to use agentic AI tools across all facets of their responsibilities: accelerating implementation workflows, building automation and integration tooling, identifying optimal technical solutions, generating account insights, and forecasting customer behavior. The ability to build practical AI components that create real value for customers and the team is a core part of this role.
Technical fluency at the device operations layer is non-negotiable. TIMs must hold credible conversations with engineering teams and business stakeholders alike, without routing every question back to Esper Engineering.
