AI Engineer (Staff/Principal) New York
About Us:
Fifth Dimension is bringing vibe working to document-heavy industries 🌈. Today we work with real estate businesses in the US, EU and APAC, automating complex tasks, extracting valuable insights from documents, and empowering professionals to focus on high-impact work. Our AI workspace transforms how large investment managers and developers handle leases, development documents, and investment decisions.
We're a London and New York based startup with an ample runway, backed by Tier 1 European and American investors. Our founders, Johnny Morris and Dr. Kate Jarvis bring a powerful blend of expertise (and spice 🌶️): Johnny has 17+ years applying data and analytics to Real Estate, while Kate holds a Stanford PhD and 12 years of executive experience across Silicon Valley and London startups.
At Fifth Dimension, we're demanding yet encouraging, valuing experimentation and kind challenges. Our company values, Own It, Ship It, and Don't Be Boring, drive us to deliver exceptional results while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
The Challenge
It's 9 AM on a Monday. Using Claude Code, you've just implemented a new extraction pipeline that transforms how property leases are analyzed. By noon, a major real estate firm emails: "This just saved us 40 hours of work." By Thursday, you're troubleshooting with their development team as they integrate your APIs into their enterprise document management system. By Friday, you're celebrating with the team as data flows seamlessly between platforms, unlocking new capabilities for real estate investors that will help them make faster, more informed decisions across their portfolios.
About You
You're an expert software engineer who's witnessed the transformative power of AI and wants to apply it to solve real business problems. You don't just code—you architect solutions that make users say "How did we ever work without this?"
You've developed exceptional engineering and architectural skills through years of practice. You stay current with AI advances and can identify the right approach for each unique challenge. Your experience implementing AI in business contexts has taught you that the magic isn't in the model—it's in understanding the problem deeply.
You're proficient with AI coding assistance tools like Claude Code, leveraging them to accelerate development and focus on higher-level architectural challenges. You understand that modern engineering means effectively collaborating with AI to maximise your productivity and creative potential.
Details don't escape you. You're comfortable diving into complex documents and intricate code to build a complete picture. As someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, you adapt quickly and mentor other engineers while collaborating effectively with commercial teams and customers.
You're passionate about your personal growth and see each complex problem as an opportunity to expand your capabilities. You actively seek challenges that push the boundaries of what's possible and value environments where you can both contribute your expertise and continue to evolve as an engineer.
Your Impact
Reporting to our CTO Chen, you'll architect and implement innovative AI technology to meet our enterprise customers' unique needs. Our Values and Engineering Culture
At 5D, we embody three core principles: Own it, Ship it, and Don't be boring.
Our engineering team values:
Product-Minded Engineering: Understanding the "why" behind features and using technical expertise to inform product decisions
Intellectual Honesty: Backing discussions with data and acknowledging knowledge gaps
Effective Time Management: Setting clear timebox and abandoning approaches that aren't working
Clear Communication: Writing self-documenting code and providing detailed explanations
Innovation Mindset: Forming well-reasoned opinions backed by data and continuously learning
Personal Growth: Supporting your development through challenging work and opportunities to expand your expertise
Intellectual Curiosity and Honesty in Action: An Example
Here's an example of how we work: Early in our journey with AI, one of our engineers discovered that certain words like "concise" or "creative" had disproportionate effects on model outputs—we called them "demon words." Rather than accepting this as an immutable quirk, they spent a week methodically tracking down every instance in our codebase, testing alternatives, and documenting the patterns they found. This intellectual curiosity to understand the "why" behind technical oddities, combined with the honesty to admit what we didn't yet understand, led to significant improvements in our product's reliability. At 5D, we value this combination of curiosity and honesty above all—the willingness to dive deep into unexpected behaviors and openly share both successes and failures with the team.
What We're Looking For
Experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced tech environments
Track record building software in organizations with excellent engineering practices
History of owning end-to-end product development, from definition to delivery and customer adoption
Strong Python skills with a track record of shipping customer-facing features on critical paths
Experience building and maintaining high-quality APIs and integrations
Proficiency with AI coding assistance tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
Intellectual curiosity and honesty—digging deep into problems and sharing findings openly
Proven ability to make technical decisions that balance immediate user needs with long-term architecture
Exceptional communication abilities for explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
Ambition and resilience—we're a seed-stage company tackling ambitious challenges
Commercial awareness—delivering continuous value to customers is essential

Founding Growth Lead
About us
The real-assets industry runs on fragmented systems, disconnected data and a huge amount of manual work. At Fifth Dimension, we’re building the decision intelligence platform for real-assets investors and managers, helping teams move faster, surface better insight and make more confident investment decisions.
We’ve recently raised a $26M Series A led by HV Capital and are expanding across the US and APAC.
Now we’re hiring our first dedicated Growth Lead. Not to ‘run marketing’. To help us figure out how enterprise growth should actually work here. We’re at the stage where there’s real momentum, but still plenty to build.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving systems and helping turn early GTM signals into a more scalable growth engine.
What is the role?
We’re looking for a hands-on, highly analytical and highly executional Growth Lead to help us build and scale our enterprise demand generation motion.
You’ll work across outbound, nurture, events, lifecycle, growth experimentation and experimenting with ABM growth tactics to help us reach the right enterprise buyers in the right way. You’ll partner closely with sales to build repeatable systems, improve funnel visibility and help define what scalable pipeline generation should look like at Fifth Dimension.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up. We have momentum, customers and a clear market opportunity, but we’re still early in how our growth function operates. You’ll be joining at the stage where there is plenty to figure out and improve.
You’ll need to be comfortable switching between strategy and execution, and genuinely skilled at translating strategy into an executable plan. You understand how individual tactics fit within a larger strategic framework, no random acts of marketing. One day you might be mapping nurture journeys in HubSpot. The next, you might be analysing funnel conversion data, refining outbound logic, improving event follow-up or helping shape GTM priorities.
You’ll have built strong marketing foundations the traditional way, and you now know how to set up AI workflows that deliver real efficiency, with the right human oversight to maintain quality. We care far more about ownership, operational thinking and execution than polished corporate marketing playbooks.
We don’t believe channels should be fixed in advance. This is a Growth role: we’d expect you to bring hypotheses, run experiments and use whatever channel mix proves most effective, rather than being constrained by a predefined playbook. Frameworks like Crossing the Chasm are useful and there are real lessons to take from them, but they aren’t the only lens on our market. We’re cautious about assuming traditional technology adoption models map neatly onto AI adoption, so we want someone who brings experience and frameworks but is equally willing to test assumptions and adapt based on what they’re seeing in the market.
What you’ll do
Build and improve outbound and nurture workflows across email, LinkedIn, events and engagement-triggered campaigns
Help create a more repeatable enterprise pipeline engine
Own and optimise growth workflows in HubSpot, including account-level insight and data management
Design, run and measure growth experiments across channels, using the mix that proves most effective
Form hypotheses on the best ABM strategies for our ICPs, run the tests, report the results and iterate the approach
Improve targeting, sequencing and conversion across the funnel
Build clearer reporting and visibility across growth performance
Work closely with SDRs and sales to improve lead quality and follow-up
Engage and track the buying group, developing the messaging and content that moves multiple stakeholders down the funnel
Partner with leadership on growth priorities, channel performance and GTM rhythm
Bring more structure and operational rigour to how we generate demand
Help shape what the growth function becomes as the company scales
What we’re looking for
You’ve probably:
Spent 6+ years in B2B SaaS growth, demand generation or GTM operations
Worked in early-stage or scaling companies before
Helped build something from 0–1 or 0.5–1 (at least once)
Worked closely with enterprise sales teams
Built workflows and campaigns yourself rather than only managing agencies
Built strong marketing foundations the traditional way, and since learned to set up AI workflows with the right guardrails and human oversight
Used HubSpot heavily and understand how funnels, workflows and reporting connect, including configuring it to harvest account-level insight
Run account-based marketing: engaging and tracking the buying group, and developing multithreaded conversations across a complex buying committee
Experience setting up, testing and iterating ABM strategies with hands-on execution
Operated in environments where priorities change quickly and structure is still evolving
You’re probably someone who:
Thinks in systems and metrics
Likes solving operational problems
Owns it, you see a problem and take responsibility for solving it
Ships it, you value momentum, execution and learning through action
Is comfortable with ambiguity
Doesn’t wait to be told exactly what to do
Enjoys working cross-functionally
Cares more about outcomes than optics
Doesn’t do boring, you challenge the status quo, bring original ideas and make things better than you found them
Bonus points for experience in:
PropTech
Real Estate
This role may not be for you if…
You prefer larger, more mature marketing teams with established playbooks
You enjoy strategy more than execution
You need lots of structure around you to operate well
You optimise for perfection over momentum (one of our values is ‘Ship it’!)
You’re a paid media specialist looking for a channel-specific role rather than a broad growth mandate
You want a narrow role with highly defined boundaries
Compensation
NYC Salary: $175,000 - $190,000 (depending on experience) + bonus
London Salary: £110,000-130,000 + bonus
Senior Product Manager
Fifth Dimension is the most prominent AI company in real estate in the world, bringing the magic of AI automation to document-heavy industries 🌈. Our AI workspace helps leading investment managers, owners, and operators across the US, UK, and APAC automate complex workflows, extract insights from critical documents, and make faster, smarter decisions.
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, based in New York (preferred) or London, reporting to our Co-Founder & CPO, Johnny, and working alongside our other senior PM as a peer. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you'll own product end-to-end for a critical area, partner shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, and get as close to customers as anyone in the company. There's no team to inherit or build, your impact comes from what you ship and the standards you hold.
You're a builder who still ships. You can open Figma, write a brief, prototype in AI tools, cut scope, and make the call, and you back every decision with a commercial instinct for what actually drives adoption and revenue. We ship daily. You will too.
About Us
We're a London, New York, and Singapore based startup with ample runway, backed by Tier 1 European and American investors. We've raised $22m at Series A and are growing 6x ARR year on year. Our founders, Johnny Morris and Dr. Kate Jarvis, bring a powerful blend of expertise (and spice 🌶️): Johnny has 17+ years applying data and analytics to Real Estate, while Kate holds a Stanford PhD and 12 years of executive experience across Silicon Valley and London startups.
At Fifth Dimension, we're demanding yet encouraging, valuing experimentation and kind challenges. Our company values, Own It, Ship It, and Don't Be Boring, drive us to deliver exceptional results while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
What This Role Is
A senior IC who owns product end-to-end for a critical area, from customer insight through to shipped, polished product.
A builder who ships personally: Figma, briefs, prototypes in AI tools, scope calls, and the judgement to make them.
Turns product vision and live customer feedback into sharp, shipped product.
Carrier of product standards across engineering, customer success, sales, and customers.
Commercially wired — measures success in adoption and revenue, not features shipped.
Brings just enough process to keep things consistent (reliable, repeatable communication).
What This Role Is Not
A people-management role. This is an individual-contributor seat, there's no team to inherit or build, and no plans to add one for this role.
A process-only person. We don't want OKRs, PRDs, or roadmap theatre.
Someone who hasn't touched a product in 12 months.
Someone who needs the structure of a big company around them to be effective.
The Challenge
We're leaving real value uncaptured because the product hasn't yet been run with a sharp, customer-obsessed hand on every detail. What should the product look like to immediately communicate intelligence and connectivity? How do the first 30 seconds of a demo show we're an intelligence platform, not a chatbot? Where does the product win deals today, and where does it quietly lose them?
The problems here are genuinely novel. How do you present AI-extracted insights alongside source documents so a professional trusts them enough to make a $100M investment decision? How do you reason about agentic systems, evaluations, and probabilistic output, and still ship something customers rely on every day? How do you take something bespoke and turn it into something repeatable that ships?
Imagine it's Month 1. You've diagnosed, delivered, and productified a major customer deliverable — taken something bespoke and made it repeatable. You're in customer sessions forming strong opinions on where the product is failing them, and pushing engineering on it. You know where the product wins demos and where it loses them. That's the pace.
What You'll Do
Own and ship a product area. You own the product layer for your area end-to-end, customer insight through to pixel-level delivery, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering. We ship daily; you will too.
Turn vision and feedback into product. Take product direction and live customer feedback and convert it into sharp, shipped product, cutting scope, making the call, and holding the bar.
Get close to customers. Spend real time with enterprise customers, including the high-stakes conversations (renewals, a broken workflow, a promise made and kept). Bring what you learn straight back into the product.
Drive adoption and revenue. Sharpen how the product demos and sells so it visibly drives adoption and revenue, not just feature count. You'll see your decisions in the numbers.
Invent AI-native product. Agentic workflows, streaming outputs, document intelligence, confidence signals, human-AI collaboration. There's no playbook, you'll help write it, and use AI tools to collapse the gap between idea and shipped.
Keep the signal flowing. Bring light, reliable process, the consistent weekly updates and shared context that keep founders, engineering, and customers aligned without slowing anyone down.
About You
You're a senior product person who never stopped building. You've shipped product to real customers and you shipped something yourself in the last 12 months, you can open Figma, write a brief, prototype in AI tools, cut scope, and make the call. You're commercially wired: you think about adoption and revenue, not just what made it into the release.
You're genuinely AI-native. You've shipped AI product that customers use, you have opinions about agentic systems, and you can reason about evaluations and probabilistic output. That shows up in your own craft too, you work in AI-native tooling, you'll ship a small code change to unblock yourself, and AI has genuinely changed how you work. "I use ChatGPT and Figma sometimes" isn't what we mean.
You've been in the high-stakes customer conversations, a renewal on the line, a product that broke, a promise you had to make and keep, and you can talk through exactly how you handled them. You thrive in startup pace: high ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, curious, and an active communicator. You bring just enough process to be consistent, because you know that's where founders often need the most help.
What We're Looking For
Shipped AI product that real customers use, with real opinions on agentic systems, evaluations, and probabilistic output. (Must-have.)
Deep personal AI craft, AI-native in your own workflow (e.g. Claude and AI-native tooling, shipping small code changes yourself), not AI as a novelty. (Must-have.)
A commercial mindset, you measure yourself on adoption and revenue, and you understand how enterprise buyers evaluate, adopt, and expand. (Must-have.)
Still a builder, shipped product personally in the last 12 months: opens Figma, writes briefs, prototypes, cuts scope, makes the call.
Battle-tested in high-stakes customer conversations, renewals, a broken product, promises made and kept, and able to walk through them in detail.
Thrives in startup pace, high ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, curious, an active communicator, and brings just enough process to stay consistent.
Nice to Have
Domain knowledge in a specialist professional field, real estate, finance, legal, insurance, healthcare, or construction. Not required, but we expect you to do the research.
Experience with complex data products, extraction, search, intelligence, analytics, not pure SaaS CRUD.
Platform instinct, thinks in systems, APIs, skills, and compounding, not just features.
Can touch code, enough to prototype or unblock yourself.
Your First Few Months
Month 1. You've diagnosed, delivered, and productified a major customer deliverable, turned something bespoke into something repeatable that ships. You're in customer sessions forming strong opinions on where the product is failing them and pushing engineering on it. You understand the product: where it wins demos and where it loses them.
Month 3. Deep customer wins from the product being closer to customers than it's ever been, at least one account where the breakthrough came from you. The first measurable improvements to how we demo and sell are live, and you're on top of the metrics that matter: latency, trust, accuracy, adoption.
Month 6. The product is the reason we're winning deals we wouldn't have won six months ago. Multiple deep customer wins where the compound effect is visible, better data, better workflows, higher adoption, expansion revenue, and product-led growth that's real and measurable, not a narrative.
