You will oversee our regional 3PL partners, ensuring our outbound engine is both high-velocity and cost-effective. You’ll go beyond daily coordination to own the analytics of our fulfillment spend—identifying margin leakage and optimizing our carrier networks. What You’ll Do:
- Lead regional outbound operations by overseeing the daily fulfillment lifecycle, ensuring 3PL partners meet strict SLAs for order processing, packaging quality, and carrier handoffs.
- Oversee regional fulfillment and outbound shipping budgets, identifying and executing on opportunities to reduce “Cost per Order” through zone skipping, carrier diversification, and packaging optimization.
- Direct fulfillment analytics by partnering with the Data/Systems team to build and maintain dashboards tracking key performance drivers, including OTIF (On-Time In-Full) and shipping margin leakage.
- Collaborate on new product launches and seasonal surges, modeling fulfillment costs and ensuring regional infrastructure is prepared for volume spikes and unique handling requirements.
- Drive the evolution of outbound routing guides, prioritizing cost-effective carrier selection while maintaining the “Estimated Delivery Date” (EDD) promised to the customer.
- Integrate exception and recovery data into the continuous improvement process, analyzing “failed delivery” trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that reduce reshipment costs.
- Mentor junior coordinators on analytical rigor, coaching the team on how to use logistics data to justify operational changes and negotiate with regional vendors.
- Lead the strategy for regional reverse logistics and cross-border distribution (e.g., US-to-Canada), optimizing for both tax compliance and customer transit times.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in E-commerce fulfillment, 3PL management, or outbound logistics.
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing logistics budgets, conducting freight bill audits, and performing cost-benefit analyses.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to navigate ERP/WMS data and translate spreadsheets into strategic narratives for leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to “speak the language” of both the warehouse floor and the finance department.
- A proven ability to solve complex operational problems while maintaining a relentless focus on the customer experience and organizational profitability.
Bonus Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query/VBA) or SQL for independent data extraction and reporting.

The Job:
In this role, you will work cross-functionally and have a pivotal role in the research, development, and implementation of new products. You will innovate new ways of doing things and work with the design teams to move 3d printing technology forward. This role requires systems thinking, the ability to research and test new ideas and convert them to functional prototypes, and finally partnering with design engineers to get a final design into manufacturing.
About You:
- 5+ years of hands-on, mechanism and mechatronic product design experience, including contributing to the system architecture of a product
- Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping, including mechanical, electrical, and software
- Experience working with and controlling sensors and actuators
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making
- Working knowledge in material properties of plastics, metals, and adhesives
- Testing and analysis experience with a focus on hands-on testing, with some simulation experience

- Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, embedded firmware development, bring up and validation
- Design sensing and motion systems from scratch when off the shelf options have been proven unsuitable

- Grow into owning system-level architecture and mentoring other engineers
You:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing production-ready electronics

Your Impact:
Formlabs products span many technical areas including electronics, motion control, sensing technologies, machine vision, optics, material science, embedded firmware, and PC software. These technologies must all work in concert with each other in order to ship world class products. The System Integration team is the glue that binds the systems together; from making the first prototypes function to the final error handling code that keeps the products reliable.
As the Robotic Systems Integration Manager, you will lead a high performance team of mutli-disciplenary engineers. You and your team will be responsible for defining and integrating sensors and actuators, bringing up and maintaining prototype fleets, developing algorithms and control systems, and delivering embedded firmware for physical systems across the entire Formlabs product portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the System Integration team by example; take a hands-on approach to technology development by balancing customer value, cost, and engineering effort to consistently deploy optimal solutions.
- Lead high level architecture decision making around sensing technologies, actuators, control algorithms, calibration techniques, and firmware architecture across all Formlabs products
- Research external products and new technologies to ensure Formlabs products continue to use state of the art algorithms and sensing technologies.
- Deploy resources across programs, prioritize assignments, and hire top level engineers to build a balanced and dynamic team.

Your Impact:
Our growing R&D team is a mix of mechanical, systems, and software engineers. We develop and maintain the Formlabs printing process. Our team works closely with other engineering teams to research next-generation printers and materials. We use engineering, physics, and experimentation to turn ideas into beautiful and reliable products.

What You’ll Do:
- Create new 3D printing techniques – from developing new printer architectures to validating minute changes in Galvo control
- Opportunity to contribute to investigating new technologies
- Tackle complex and open-ended problems across multiple engineering disciplines
- Perform experiments and use the results to inform and develop improvements in software or hardware
- Evaluate current printer performance for areas for improvement
- Partner with other engineering teams to implement improvements to current products such as redesigning support structure algorithm based on experimental results
About You:
- Questions assumptions and are willing to back it up with data
- Have experience with experiment design and data analysis to inform design decisions
- Able to design and build test fixtures for experiments
- A website or portfolio document showing off your current and past projects
- Understand programming and scientific computing, ideally Python or Matlab
- Familiar with mechanical design, mechatronics, and CAD modeling
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in an engineering field (all are welcome)
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with manufacturing, regulatory, or product standards and compliance in industries like healthcare, pharma, or life sciences.
- Experience with 3D printing technologies and materials.

As a Print Production Intern on our Sales Enablement Team, you will support our showroom and print production initiatives, including printer maintenance, SLA and SLS print production, and print farm clean-up and logistics to ensure a safe and inspiring environment to produce 3D printed solutions.
Internship Term: Fall 2026 (September 14 – December 18)
Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Onsite in Somerville, MA (in-person)
The Job
- Support on design modifications, part layout and slicing for 3D print optimization.
- Support 3D print production including printing, troubleshooting and maintenance across SLA and SLS printers and all Formlabs materials.
- Post process, sand and finish parts.
- Support the team in space maintenance to ensure top of the line health and safety in the showroom and production spaces.
- Create and identify opportunities for space improvements to optimize production, printer utilization, quality control measures, and maintenance while ensuring health and safety of the space and everyone who uses it.
You
- Enjoy working independently.
- Are highly organized and interested in helping streamline processes.
- Have 3D printing experience and are motivated to become a 3D printing expert.
- Are Able to lift 40-80 lbs.
- Are eager to plug into the needs of the Sales team and the Formlabs community.
- Are confident working in Excel/Google Sheets and have a knack for Project Management.
