About Marvell Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities. At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead. Your Team, Your Impact Goal of Section: Convey impact of the business group they will be joining on Marvell and the world. Questions To Answer In This Section: • What can’t Marvell do if they do not have this team to execute? • What projects is this team responsible for delivering? What do they work on every day? • Why should you work on this team vs another team doing the same project at another company? • How is this technology used in the world that most people would recognize? What You Can Expect - Own procurement and supply strategy for substrates, including supplier selection, qualification, capacity planning, and multi-year supply agreements. - Lead strategic sourcing activities — RFQs, competitive bidding, and price negotiations — with substrate suppliers to meet cost, quality, and technology roadmap targets. - Partner with supply chain planning to proactively identify and resolve capacity constraints or supply shortages before they impact production. - Partner with packaging engineering and product teams to align substrate roadmaps with technology inflections — larger die/package sizes, higher layer counts, and advanced interconnect requirements. - Develop and execute cost-reduction roadmaps in partnership with suppliers, using should-cost modeling, yield improvement, and value engineering to drive productivity year over year. - Own supplier contracts and terms to minimize Marvell's risk exposure and hold suppliers accountable for performance and non-conformance. - Lead quarterly Supplier Performance reviews and scorecards, tracking suppliers against cost, quality, delivery, technology, and flexibility metrics; drive corrective action plans where needed. - Manage supply risk and business continuity planning, including dual-sourcing strategies, safety stock/capacity reservations, and mitigation of geopolitical and single-source exposure. - Support NPI and NRE procurement programs, securing substrate capacity, pricing, and engineering samples on aggressive development schedules. - Present regular supply health updates, risk assessments, and cost/savings reporting to procurement and engineering leadership. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commodity managers, buyers, and/or supply chain planners supporting the substrate commodity. - Represent Procurement in cross-functional escalations related to substrate supply, quality excursions, or capacity constraints. What We're Looking For - BS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree a plus. - Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in semiconductor procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain/planning roles, with significant experience specifically in substrate or advanced packaging materials. - Strong working knowledge of substrate technologies — organic laminate, ABF, RDL/2.5D-3D substrates — and their interactions with flip-chip, wire-bond, and advanced packaging assembly processes. - Proven experience negotiating complex, high-value supply agreements and running competitive bidding/RFQ processes with OSATs and substrate manufacturers. - Experience managing supplier relationships across a global footprint, including suppliers in Asia, Europe - Strong analytical and complex modeling skills, with experience in should-cost analysis, cost-down programs, and total cost of ownership. - Experience building and running supplier scorecards/SPM processes and driving suppliers to committed performance targets. - People-leadership experience, with a track record of building and developing a high-performing procurement or planning team. - Excellent executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting supply health, risk, and cost updates to senior leadership. - Ability to travel internationally as needed to engage with key suppliers. Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 140,620 - 210,000, $ per annum The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. About Marvell
Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world.
Your Team, Your Impact
Team Impact
Without this team: The company would have no real-time visibility into incidents across its facilities — slower emergency response, unmanaged risk to employees, and no centralized coordination when something goes wrong.
What this team owns: 24/7/365 monitoring of facilities, access control, and alarms; triaging and escalating incidents; and coordinating real-time response with Facilities, HR, and emergency services.
Why here vs. elsewhere: This is a growing function, offering broad exposure across incident types and close visibility into how security operations are run at a fast-paced tech company.
Recognizable impact: This is the kind of behind-the-scenes function that keeps large campuses and workplaces safe day to day — quietly monitoring conditions and making sure the right people are notified quickly when something needs attention.
What You Can Expect
A Day in the Life — GPS Analyst
Location: On-site — real-time monitoring requires physical presence in the Operations Center.
A day in their life: The analyst starts with a shift handoff covering open incidents and flagged alerts. Most of the day is spent monitoring CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, triaging alerts as they come in, logging incidents, and coordinating with Facilities, HR, or emergency services when something needs escalation.
Management: Works closely with fellow analysts and management
Aptitude: Daily tools include CCTV/VMS, access control software, alarm platforms, and incident-logging systems. Core tasks: monitoring feeds, triaging alerts, and documenting incidents quickly and accurately.
Communication: Primarily internal — giving and receiving shift handoffs and documenting incidents clearly. Occasionally communicate directly with employees or facilities contacts by phone during an incident, with an emphasis on fast, accurate, in-the-moment reporting.
What the team can't do without this person: Coverage gaps — without someone on shift, alerts go unmonitored and incidents get caught late.
What We're Looking For
Prior Experience: Ideally 2+ years in a security monitoring, dispatch, or emergency communications setting — corporate GSOC/SOC, law enforcement/military dispatch, or a call-center environment. Hands-on comfort with CCTV/VMS, access control, or alarm platforms is helpful but can be built up quickly with training.
Autonomy: Should be able to monitor systems, triage alerts, and follow established protocols with reasonable independence, while still leaning on guidance for ambiguous or higher-severity situations
Aptitude: Should be proficient with core dispatch tools — CCTV/video management systems, access control platforms, and alarm monitoring software — with the ability to operate multiple systems simultaneously during active incidents. Comfortable navigating incident-logging/ticketing systems and mass-notification tools without heavy oversight, and able to accurately document and categorize incidents in real time. Specific platform training will be provided, but baseline technical comfort with monitoring software is expected coming in.
Communication: Day-to-day communication happens within the GPS team — shift handoffs, incident notes, and escalating when needed to ensure timely response.
