Senior Technical Sales Lead, Life Sciences
Why Patlytics
Patlytics is the premier and market leading end-to-end platform for the entire patent lifecycle. The platform integrates AI-powered solutions that accelerate infringement and invalidity analysis, patent application drafting, office action analysis, and portfolio management/IP strategy.
Backed by SignalFire, N47, and Google's Gradient Ventures, Patlytics is the most capitalized AI-native IP platform with total funding of approximately $65 million, raised in under two and a half years. Patlytics is trusted by the world's most innovative companies, over 40% of Am Law 100 firms, and multiple top Legal 500/Chambers-ranked IP practices, including Quinn Emanuel, McDermott Will & Schulte, Foley & Lardner, Canon, Rivian, Xerox, Asahi Kasei, and TaylorMade. The matters these firms bring to Patlytics are among their most critical: strategic patent prosecution, active litigation, and high-stakes licensing negotiations. Faced with record claim volumes and growing case complexity, practitioners trust Patlytics to scale their output without compromising the precision their clients, the courts, and their firms demand.
With teams across the globe we're building a global company fueled by exceptional talent and bold ideas. Our rapid expansion is driven by people who bring entrepreneurial energy, intellectual curiosity, and a shared commitment to setting the global standard for AI-powered IP intelligence. This is a rare chance to help define a new category in real time – the work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth is unmatched.
Role Overview
Patlytics' Senior Technical Sales Lead, Life Sciences owns the front of the GTM motion across life sciences, pharma/biotech, medical device, and technical enterprise sectors. In this role you'll identify and shape the highest-value opportunities – translating scientific and technical signals like patent filings, clinical pipelines, funding events, litigation activity, and R&D movement into a prioritized, well-researched pipeline the Sales team can act on with precision.
This is a senior, judgment-heavy role for someone who can operate credibly with sophisticated technical and legal buyers. You'll pair genuine technical and IP fluency with commercial instinct: mapping target accounts, diagnosing where Patlytics creates value within an organization's IP and R&D landscape, and building the account intelligence and point of view that arm Account Executives and Legal Engineers to win. You'll set the strategy for how Patlytics approaches the life sciences market, not just execute against a list.
This role is located in New York, NY.
What You'll Do
Own account mapping and prioritization across life sciences, pharma/biotech, medical device, and technical verticals – using patent filings, funding events, clinical pipelines, publications, litigation activity, and hiring signals to identify and rank buying intent.
Conduct deep technical and IP discovery on prospects – understanding their science, portfolio, and where Patlytics improves their patent and R&D workflows.
Build and maintain high-quality account intelligence and strategic briefs that arm Account Executives and Legal Engineers with context, hooks, stakeholder maps, and a clear point of view on the opportunity.
Lead targeted, research-driven outreach to senior technical and legal buyers (R&D leaders, IP counsel, patent strategists), engaging credibly on their terms and workflow challenges.
Act as the "Voice of the Market" for life sciences – synthesizing signals and patterns across the landscape to sharpen ICP definition and shape GTM strategy.
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy to refine targeting, feed the pipeline, and iterate quickly as the market and product evolve.
Track competitive moves, emerging opportunity spaces, and shifts in the life sciences and technical IP landscape, and translate them into action.
What You'll Have
8+ years of relevant experience, including meaningful depth in IP and life sciences.
Deep fluency reading and synthesizing technical and legal material (patents, papers, clinical pipelines) and translating it into concrete commercial insight and strategy.
Executive presence and the ability to engage credibly with senior technical and legal decision-makers and build trust quickly.
Strong research and commercial judgment, with comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-bar environment.
Extreme ownership and a proactive mindset – taking responsibility for outcomes and driving clarity rather than waiting for direction.
Outstanding written and verbal communication – able to make a rigorous technical case compelling to sophisticated, busy buyers.
Clear dialogue and strong cross-functional collaboration – able to work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy, especially in fast-moving cycles.
Curiosity and judgment about AI in technical and legal workflows, including how AI is changing patent practice.
Bonus: USPTO registration; familiarity with patent databases and IP workflows; prior GTM, business development, or client-facing experience.

Customers are seeing up to 90% reduction in project time, with claim charts that used to cost $30K+ in attorney time now completed at a fraction of that cost.
With teams across the globe we're building a global company fueled by exceptional talent and bold ideas. Our rapid expansion is driven by people who bring entrepreneurial energy, intellectual curiosity, and a shared commitment to setting the global standard for AI-powered IP intelligence. We're creating a culture where diverse perspectives shape breakthrough innovation and every voice contributes to transforming how the world protects ideas.
About the Role
Patent attorneys are among the most analytically demanding users you'll ever design for. Their workflows are high-stakes, deeply nuanced, and largely unchanged for decades, until now. You're the person who makes AI feel intuitive, trustworthy, and indispensable in their hands.
You won't be pushing pixels in isolation. You'll be embedded with the customers who use Patlytics every day: litigators building claim charts under deadline pressure, prosecution teams managing sprawling portfolios, IP strategists making million-dollar decisions on prior art. Your job is to understand how they think, where they struggle, and what "better" actually looks like in their world, then design the experiences that get them there.
This is a role for a designer obsessed with how people actually use products, not just how they look. You're drawn to the messy, human side of design: the research sessions that upend your assumptions, the deployments that break in ways you didn't anticipate, the moment a skeptical user says "this actually works." You'll do that here full-time, at the frontier of AI, in one of law's most consequential domains.
What You'll Do
Design end-to-end experiences: Own Patlytics' core workflows, including patent search, claim charting, portfolio analysis, prosecution, and litigation support. Every interaction should help users leverage AI with confidence and clarity.
Be the voice of the customer: Conduct user research directly with patent attorneys, IP counsel, and legal operations teams. Sit in on deployments. Watch real usage. Let what you learn reshape what you build.
Make AI legible: Design interfaces that surface AI-generated insights (prior art results, claim mappings, portfolio analytics) in ways that are transparent, verifiable, and actionable. Help users understand what the AI did, why, and how to act on it.
Stay at the forefront of AI interaction design: Keep up with the latest in LLM-powered interfaces, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and emerging patterns for human-AI collaboration, then bring those ideas into the product.
Own the full lifecycle: Drive design from early discovery and concept exploration through high-fidelity prototyping, usability testing, and post-launch iteration. Own the quality of the shipped experience, not just the mockup.
Create scalable systems: Build design patterns that bring consistency across a rapidly expanding product surface while staying flexible for the specialized needs of different IP workflows.
What You Need
6+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex, workflow-heavy products, ideally in B2B SaaS, legal tech, professional services, or enterprise tools for expert users.
Proven ability to design for AI-powered products. You understand the unique UX challenges of LLM-based systems (handling uncertainty, surfacing confidence, designing for variable outputs, managing user trust) and you've shipped solutions that address them.
Precise communication that adjusts for audience, whether you're walking an attorney through a prototype, aligning with a PM on scope, or presenting a design rationale to leadership.
Extreme ownership. You drive projects to completion without waiting for direction, close feedback loops proactively, and hold yourself accountable for the experience customers actually have, not just the one you designed on paper.
Nice-to-Haves
Direct experience with vertical AI / LLM products or agent-based systems.
Experience in a startup or early-stage environment where you built process from scratch.
Familiarity with the patent lifecycle: prosecution, litigation, portfolio management, search and analytics.
Don't check every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Many exceptional candidates don't meet every requirement on paper, and some of the best hires far exceed them.

We're creating a culture where diverse perspectives shape breakthrough innovation and every voice contributes to transforming how the world protects ideas.
About the Role
Patent work is high-stakes, deeply technical, and unforgiving. Our customers use Patlytics for portfolio management, active litigation, prosecution, and licensing negotiations where being wrong isn't an option.
We're hiring a Product Manager to own a core surface of the platform end to end: strategy through shipped, adopted workflows. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, design, GTM, and our in-house patent attorneys.
This is a builder role, not a roadmap-management role. You set the vision, write crisp one-pagers, and stay close enough to the product to feel every rough edge yourself. You hop on calls with patent attorneys at AmLaw 100 firms and Fortune 500 IP teams, translate what you hear into product, and personally drive adoption.
What You'll Do
Own a core product area end to end: Set the strategy, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship outcomes, not output, across modules like drafting, infringement analysis, invalidity research, or portfolio management.
Live with customers: Spend real time with patent attorneys and in-house IP counsel through discovery calls, design partnerships, and on-sites. Translate what you hear into product.
Bridge law and AI: Translate nuanced patent workflows (Office Action responses, claim charting, SEP analysis, invalidity contentions) into elegant, scalable software.
Build with the models: Design, test, and iterate on complex LLM prompts and AI agents to ensure highly accurate, citation-backed, and legally sound results.
Define and move the metrics: Instrument what matters, then drive measurable impact on activation, adoption, retention, and customer outcomes.
Drive velocity without dropping the bar: Maintain a rapid shipping cadence while protecting the enterprise-grade accuracy, auditability, and security our customers demand.
What You Need
7+ years of product management experience with a track record you can point to: specific outcomes (adoption, revenue, retention, efficiency) that your work moved.
Products you've shipped that you're proud of, and the receipts to prove they drove real customer and business outcomes.
Customer obsession that shows up in behavior. You hop on calls to dig into pain points, iterate alongside users, and personally drive adoption rather than delegating it.
Experience building B2B workflow software where users live in the product every day and small frictions compound into big problems.
Extreme ownership, strong judgment under ambiguity, and a bias toward shipping and learning over planning in a vacuum.
Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, evals, or shipping LLM-powered features in production. You stay current with advances in LLMs, retrieval, and agent architectures.
Experience building vertical AI products, especially for technical, regulated, or expert-user domains (legal, healthcare, financial services, etc.).
Familiarity with IP, patents, or legal tech. Not required, but a head start in understanding our users.
Don't check every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Many exceptional candidates don't meet every requirement on paper, and some of the best hires far exceed them.

This is a rare chance to help define a new category in real time – the work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth is unmatched.
Role Overview
Patlytics’ Legal Engineers are experienced IP attorneys (e.g., patent prosecutors and IP litigators) who sit on the Strategy team—at the center of the company—supporting GTM (pre-sale, POCs, pilots, closing, post-sale), product (roadmap, development, release testing, QC/QA), partnerships, and marketing. Legal Engineers translate Patlytics’ AI capabilities into the language of patent practice so customers and internal teams clearly understand how the platform improves day-to-day workflows and decision-making.
In this role, Legal Engineers build consultative, trust-based relationships with law firm partners and associates and with in-house patent teams across technology, pharma/biotech, and other enterprise organizations. They secure the “legal win” through rigorous discovery and sharp workflow alignment—asking thoughtful questions, diagnosing what matters in a given practice area, and delivering targeted education via meetings, demos, trainings, and 1:1 sessions that resonate with how patent professionals actually work.
Legal Engineers collaborate broadly across Patlytics—working not only with Sales, but also closely with Product and Engineering (to troubleshoot use cases and guide roadmap priorities), Marketing (to refine messaging and collateral), and Partnerships (to support integration and ecosystem narratives). Success requires extreme ownership of the product, clear dialogue internally and with customers, and strong collaboration everywhere, especially during pilots where cross-functional execution and fast iteration are critical.
This role is located in New York, NY.
What You'll Do
Sit at the center of the company and support GTM (pre-sale, POCs, pilots, closing, post-sale), product (roadmap, development, release testing, QC/QA), partnerships, and marketing—working closely with teams and stakeholders across the company’s ecosystem.
Work hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering to guide product direction—troubleshoot real use cases, improve usability for legal teams, and contribute directly to roadmap prioritization, release testing, and QC/QA.
Act as the “Voice of the Customer” through a patent-law lens: synthesize feedback, identify patterns, and help teams make better GTM and product decisions.
Engage with patent professionals at current and prospective customers to understand workflow challenges, then clearly communicate and demonstrate how Patlytics solves those problems across the customer journey (from first call through adoption).
Build credibility as a subject-matter expert who can translate real patent practice needs into practical solutions—spanning prosecution and portfolio work as well as diligence and disputes-adjacent analysis (e.g., validity/invalidity, infringement/non-infringement, and related patent-intelligence workflows).
Lead consultative product demos tailored to specific audiences (law firm practice groups and in-house teams): ask strong discovery questions to validate value, then showcase the most relevant workflows, features, and outcomes.
Drive and support pilots end-to-end, collaborating tightly across functions and maintaining clear dialogue internally and with customers—especially when requirements evolve quickly and execution quality matters most.
Partner with Marketing to develop and refine collateral that resonates with patent professionals (e.g., messaging, decks, case studies, whitepapers), ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and differentiation.
What You’ll Have
JD or equivalent legal qualification (and ability to operate credibly with senior attorneys and in-house counsel).
5+ years of IP attorney experience at a top-tier law firm and/or sophisticated in-house team (e.g., patent prosecution and/or IP litigation); USPTO registration preferred.
Deep fluency in patent practice and workflows, with the ability to map customer problems to concrete solutions (prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence, validity/invalidity, infringement/non-infringement, and related patent-intelligence work).
Executive presence and customer engagement skills—able to build trust quickly, establish credibility at all levels, and develop strong relationships with key decision makers.
Excellent facilitation and presentation ability, including leading discovery, whiteboarding, and delivering compelling demos/trainings to both legal and executive audiences.
Extreme ownership and product mindset: comfort operating “in the middle of the company,” taking responsibility for outcomes, and proactively driving clarity rather than waiting for direction.
Clear dialogue and strong collaboration across functions—able to work effectively with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success, especially during fast-moving POCs and pilots.
Curiosity and judgment about AI in legal workflows, including interest in how AI is changing patent practice and how to communicate value responsibly and precisely.
Outstanding written and verbal communication—able to synthesize complex legal/product concepts into crisp, customer-ready messaging and internal feedback.
Customer-facing / commercial experience is a plus, including law firm BD, secondments, training/enablement, or direct responsibility for client matters and client relationships.

Revenue Operations Lead
The Opportunity
We’re hiring our first dedicated Revenue Operations hire to build the engine behind a go-to-market team that’s growing fast across law firm and corporate IP verticals in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This is a builder’s role: you’ll architect the systems, data, and processes that let our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams move with speed and precision—and you’ll own them hands-on before you ever manage a team.
You’ll report directly to leadership and partner daily with Account Executives, BDRs, Customer Success, and Marketing—as well as the CEO—to turn a scrappy, high-velocity sales motion into a repeatable, measurable, and scalable revenue machine. You’ll decide what our tech stack looks like, how we forecast, how we pay our reps, and how we know what’s working. There’s no playbook here yet; you’ll write it.
This is a high-leverage, high-ownership role for someone who’s done early RevOps at a fast-growing startup and wants to do it again from an even earlier seat—with real authority to act, not just flag.
You will
• Build and own the foundational RevOps function end-to-end: systems, data, process, and reporting across the full revenue lifecycle.
• Own reporting, KPIs/OKRs, and forecasting (new ARR and renewals)—and turn data into insights leadership can act on.
• Architect and optimize core GTM processes: lead-to-opportunity, sales stages, pipeline management, and quote-to-cash.
• Own the GTM tech stack—evaluate, purchase, implement, and administer the CRM and supporting tools (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce, enrichment, outreach, conversation intelligence).
• Design and run sales compensation and commission plans, in partnership with leadership and finance.
• Lead territory design, TAM analysis, capacity modeling, and annual GTM planning.
• Support sales strategy, onboarding, and enablement—especially as we open new verticals and geographies.
• Partner cross-functionally with AEs, BDRs, CSMs, Marketing, and the CEO to execute the initiatives that keep us on plan.
• Proactively identify and solve the bottlenecks that could keep the GTM org from hitting its growth goals.
You have
• 5+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or GTM Strategy at a fast-growing (2–5x YoY), early-stage (Series A–C) venture-backed startup.
• A builder’s track record: you’ve stood up RevOps systems and processes from scratch, not just maintained mature ones.
• Strong command of a modern SaaS GTM tech stack (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot, Gong/Chorus, Apollo/ZoomInfo, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
• Deep, data-driven analytical instincts—you’re fluent in SaaS metrics, the customer lifecycle, and financial/forecasting modeling, and you let the data drive decisions.
• Demonstrated success owning GTM planning, analytics, comp design, or systems in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
• The ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills—you can translate operational detail into a clear story for executives.
• Comfort operating amid ambiguity, rapid change, and hyper-growth; relentless drive, urgency, and ownership.
Bonus
• Experience with or knowledge of AI and LLMs.
• Prior front-line sales, marketing, or customer success experience.
• Exposure to selling into legal, professional services, or enterprise/Fortune 500 buyers.
Why Patlytics
• Build the RevOps function from zero in a category-defining AI company—real authority, real ownership, no bureaucracy.
• Work directly with leadership and shape GTM strategy from the earliest stages of global scale-up.
• Competitive base + equity in a fast-growing company at the inflection point.
• Global exposure—support a team selling to the world’s top law firms, tech giants, and innovation-driven corporations.
• A clear path to grow into a leadership role as the function and team expand beneath you.
We offer
• Comprehensive health coverage – Medical, dental, vision, plus FSA, commuter benefits, and health advocacy through Rightway
• Mental health & wellness support – Access to Spring Health and Headspace, plus “Mental Escape Days” to recharge when you need it
• Immediate 401(k) enrollment – No waiting period to start saving for your future
• Generous time off – Unlimited PTO, 12 paid company holidays, plus a full week off during our Holiday Break
• Family-first policies – Paid parental leave to support you during life’s biggest moments
• Invest in yourself – Professional development budget, gym membership stipend, and learning opportunities

The Opportunity
Our sales team is in its early stages of growth, and you will be one of the first Account Executives (AE) driving business growth within law firm and corporate verticals across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. You will own the full sales cycle—from qualification through product demonstration, negotiation, and close.

Present to multiple stakeholders within prospect organization, positioning Patlytics as a mission critical solution.
Serve as the voice of the customer, communicating feedback internally to influence product, sales, and marketing strategy.
Help build and refine the sales playbook—everything from outreach strategy to pricing and positioning.
Maintain a high frequency of in-person meetings and event participation.
You have:
5+ years years of experience in a closing role, or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical enterprise sales evaluations with multiple personas and to coordinate key business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with executive-level audiences (C-suite, partners, etc.).
High intellectual horsepower and business acumen—you can sell to senior lawyers and business executives with equal fluency.
Deep understanding of the intellectual property industry or the ability to rapidly learn and lead discussions with subject-matter experts.
Creative, competitive, and ambitious mindset; and strong interest in working in a collaborative environment.
Relentless drive, urgency, and discipline—you don’t wait for opportunities; you create them.
Comfort operating in environments characterized by ambiguity, rapid change, and hyper-growth.
