ABOUT THE ROLE
Radiant is seeking an experienced Regulatory Program Manager who loves to think outside the box and challenge convention; in this role you will lead the authorization process for reactor deployment with our military partners. You will be responsible for regulatory submissions and timelines, collaborating across technical teams to create and deliver a formal application. You will lead interactions between regulators and the engineering team to obtain clarity and answers on regulation as well as manage and provide mentorship to junior members of the team. This is an opportunity to bring advanced nuclear technologies to market while also influencing the federal government and modernizing regulation.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Manage the customer relationship, coordinating interactions and meetings, tracking deliverables, submission and acceptance, and compliance to contracts.
- Own end to end licensing execution efforts required to fulfill an application deliverable, ranging from detailed safety analysis to a physical protection plan.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to drive efficient project execution and authorization.
- Oversee execution by technical teams including design reviews and regulatory and quality documentation; organize their inputs into data products and reports; raise regulatory concerns and see through timely and successful resolution.
- Proactively review approaches and decisions as they relate to regulatory efforts to ensure adherence to Radiant’s novel and efficient licensing paths.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Comfortable working in uncertainty on first-of-a-kind projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (nuclear, mechanical, electrical, computer science, or similar) from an accredited institution.
- 5 years experience in a regulated industry, preferably nuclear programs regulated by the NRC or DOE.
- Experience directly interfacing, interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements, with a focus on streamlining and right-sizing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation abilities; ability to navigate regulatory conversations effectively and write technical documentation.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the engineering design process in a fast paced or agile hardware development environment.
- Experience in emergency preparedness, fire protection, safety analysis, radiation protection or other related regulatory subjects.

About the Role
Radiant is seeking a proactive and technically-minded Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the discovery, qualification, and development of new suppliers and manufacturing technologies in support of our micro-reactor program. This role is foundational to expanding Radiant's supply base into new commodities, processes, and capabilities as our designs mature. Unlike a traditional buyer role, this position is heavily front-end weighted — finding the right suppliers before a part exists in production, matching engineering intent to real-world manufacturing capability, and shepherding new suppliers and parts from concept through qualification and into reliable, on-time delivery. You will work closely with Engineering, Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs), Quality Assurance, and Operations to build Radiant's supplier ecosystem from the ground up.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supplier Discovery: Proactively identify and research new potential suppliers and manufacturing technologies across domestic and (where permissible) international markets, including specialized, niche, or emerging process capabilities relevant to nuclear-grade hardware.
- Design-to-Supplier Matching: Partner with Engineering to interpret drawings, specifications, and material requirements, and translate them into supplier search criteria — matching part complexity, tolerances, materials, and process needs to real supplier capability.
- Supplier Vetting & Qualification: Lead initial supplier vetting, including capability assessments, facility questionnaires, and preliminary risk screening, in coordination with SDEs and Quality on technical and quality qualification.
- Onboarding: Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new suppliers — from first contact through NDA, capability review, and entry into Radiant's approved supplier base.
- R&D & New Technology Sourcing: Research and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and processes (e.g., additive manufacturing, novel joining/forming methods) that could unlock new sourcing pathways or de-risk critical components.
- New Part Introduction (NPI) Support: Act as the commercial and program-management thread for new parts through their qualification lifecycle — coordinating purchase order issuance, first articles, prototype builds, and pilot runs between the supplier, Engineering, and Quality.
- Supplier PM through Production: Once a supplier/part is qualified, manage the transition into steady-state delivery — issuing and managing purchase orders, tracking schedule, resolving early production issues, and ensuring a smooth handoff toward on-time, recurring delivery.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with SDEs on technical/quality qualification, with Engineering on design intent and make/buy decisions, and with Procurement/Planning on transitioning qualified suppliers into the standard sourcing and PO process.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain awareness of supply market trends, capacity constraints, and geopolitical risk factors affecting candidate suppliers and technologies, particularly for nuclear-grade and DFARS-relevant materials and processes.
- Process Improvement: Help build and refine Radiant's supplier discovery, vetting, and onboarding processes and tools as the sourcing function matures.
- Purchase Order Support: Assist with placing purchase orders and monitoring purchase order health (open PO aging, delivery status, discrepancy resolution) as needed to support program timelines.
- Supplier RCCA Support: Support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities with suppliers as issues arise, coordinating with SDEs and Quality to drive timely resolution and closure.
Deliverables:
- A growing pipeline of qualified, capable suppliers matched to Radiant's evolving design needs.
- Successfully onboarded new suppliers meeting technical, quality, and commercial requirements.
- New parts/technologies moved through qualification and into reliable production delivery.
- Supplier capability assessments and vetting documentation supporting sourcing decisions.
- Identified and evaluated new manufacturing technologies with clear recommendations for adoption.
- Strong collaborative relationships internally (SDE, Engineering, QA, Procurement, Operations) and externally (new suppliers).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or new product introduction, preferably within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or energy sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong track record of identifying and qualifying new suppliers, particularly for complex or low-volume/high-mix components.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including comfort engaging directly with supplier engineering and operations teams.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and standard office software.
- Ability and willingness to travel to supplier locations for capability assessments and audits (up to 20%–40% depending on program phases).
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in the nuclear energy, aerospace, or defense industries, or working with nuclear codes and standards (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME BPVC Section III & VIII).
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing, precision machining, forming, or specialty material processing.
- Experience conducting supplier audits, facility assessments, or first article inspections.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and their role in supplier qualification.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Radiant is seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer to support developer productivity, high performance compute infrastructure, and scientific computing workflows. You'll help build and maintain the on-site HPC infrastructure and scientific computing environments that hard-science users depend on daily, working closely with the software team to build scalable, resilient tooling that lets engineers focus on their science, not their infrastructure.
You'll serve as a go-to resource for engineering teams navigating HPC and scientific computing questions, and grow into ownership of specific systems and tooling areas. The ideal candidate is patient and organized, comfortable managing a steady volume of cross-disciplinary requests, and capable of digging into complex legacy stacks to find and fix root causes. The infrastructure and tooling you build will help design, run, and mass-produce the first high-temperature gas-cooled portable microreactor ever to be commercialized.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Support workflows, tooling, and performance for scientific computing, including Ansys, STAR-CCM+, and Abaqus, covering licensing, environment setup, job orchestration, and results infrastructure.
- Serve as a resource for engineering teams, fielding HPC questions, software issues, and infrastructure needs from nuclear, thermal, materials, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and translating them into actionable work.
- Triage inbound infrastructure requests, HPC/MPI/Linux debugging, and job failure analysis, prioritizing effectively and communicating clearly across stakeholders.
- Help modernize legacy scientific computing systems and tooling, migrating to current stacks to improve maintainability, performance, and developer experience.
- Partner with DevOps engineers to maintain systems across AWS and on-premises Linux environments, supporting high availability, security, and performance for mission-critical workloads.
- Contribute to tools supporting build systems, testing frameworks, deployment automation, and developer environments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in developer productivity, site reliability, DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to drive mission-critical test operations for the development, qualification, and acceptance our groundbreaking nuclear microreactor technology. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of test engineers, you will help drive test operations to meet Radiant’s requirements in a fast-paced production environment. You will directly contribute to test operations by assisting with test planning and execution, risk identification and mitigation, hardware integration for test campaigns, post-test inspections, data review, and hardware performance analysis.
This position goes beyond traditional systems engineering - you will also gain hands-on experience as a test conductor and test director, directly influencing the development of operational software, procedures, and test ground support equipment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform testing as a Test Conductor/Test Director to gain firsthand experience, ensuring procedures align with real-world execution.
Partner with design engineers to develop innovative test methods for complex mechanisms and structures.
Support testing and iterative improvements of fluid, electrical, and structural hardware of the Kaleidos reactor through development, qualification, and acceptance testing.

Radiant is hiring a Business Development Manager to be based out of El Segundo, California. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is for someone in the growth stage of their BD career who is hungry, scrappy, and tenacious in the pursuit of pipeline development.

The Role
We are looking for a Supply Reliability Engineer who builds supplier programs that prevent problems rather than react to them. You will own the development, qualification, and long-term reliability of Radiant's supply base — establishing the processes, standards, and supplier capabilities that ensure the right part arrives to the right standard, every time. While you'll have the technical depth to handle non-conformances and corrective actions when they arise, your primary focus is upstream: strengthening supplier processes, closing capability gaps, and building a supply base that performs without constant intervention.
This is a builder role: the old house is being brought down, and a new foundation is being poured, but we still need to build the structure, apply the finishes, and pass final inspection. You'll own what exists, upgrade aging systems, and create something the industry hasn't seen before.

Own the supplier qualification and onboarding process end-to-end — pre-assessments, capability reviews, audit execution, and formal approval to the Approved Supplier List.
Own, refine, and expand quality program documentation — including quality clauses, commodity-specific requirements, and the Supplier Quality Manual — building on existing foundations and authoring what doesn't yet exist.
Develop supplier capability improvement plans — identify process gaps, partner with suppliers to close them, and track progress against defined milestones before problems reach Radiant's dock.
Own Radiant's procurement assurance and acceptance framework — define how items are accepted across supplier types and quality levels, establish purchase order quality requirements, certifications, material traceability, and compliance documentation, and build toward a graded, systematized model.
Execute supplier audits and manage supplier performance — audit against Radiant quality program requirements, author findings to closure, and drive structured improvement plans with emphasis on early intervention over lagging indicators.
Partner cross-functionally with design engineering, manufacturing, and materials teams to translate technical requirements into supplier-facing quality requirements before parts are ordered.
Process and disposition supplier quality issues when they arise — deviation requests, non-conformance reports, supplier corrective action requests, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective action effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or a related technical field
3–6 years of hands-on experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or supplier reliability engineering in a regulated industry (nuclear, aerospace, defense, or medical device)
Demonstrated ability to independently process supplier quality transactions: deviation requests, non-conformance reports, supplier corrective action requests, purchase order quality reviews, and cert package review — without step-by-step guidance
Proven experience owning or drafting quality program documents: quality clauses, supplier requirements, inspection instructions, or equivalent

Experience in the nuclear industry or direct familiarity with NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME BPVC Section III and/or VIII
Manufacturing process depth in one or more of the following: machining, welding, casting, forming, special processes, or precision fabrication — sufficient to audit a supplier's process controls and identify gaps
Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or documented progress toward certification
Qualified Inspector status (ASME Section III) or working toward it
Exposure to ISO 17025 accredited laboratories or third-party inspection bodies
Experience at an early-stage company or program where processes were built or advanced, not inherited

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. About the Role
Radiant is seeking a talented Senior Manager, Power Systems, to build and lead the team that designs, models, and validates electrical power systems for our nuclear microreactor platform. You will manage a team of power systems and power electronics engineers, set technical direction and priorities, and ensure the team delivers safe, stable, and reliable power across grid-connected, islanded, rapidly deployable, and space-based environments.
In this role, you will guide your team through power system studies from early architecture tradeoffs through detailed modeling, testing, and system validation, while also driving the development of in-house power electronics, including converters, inverters, and generator controls, needed to support both terrestrial and space-based reactor platforms. This role is central to commercializing Earth's first mass-produced portable nuclear reactors, and to extending that capability beyond Earth.
Responsibilities & Duties
Build, manage, and grow a team of power systems and power electronics engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Set team priorities and roadmaps in partnership with leadership from power conversion, controls, nuclear, and software.
Communicate progress, risks, and results to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead the team that owns power system architecture, single-line diagrams, and synchronization strategy for single and multi-reactor configurations, grid-connected and islanded.
Direct FMEAs and disturbance analysis (load steps, faults, breaker operations, loss-of-generation) to validate system stability and protection behavior.
Own architecture, sizing, and integration of off-the-shelf hardware for energy storage and power conversion.
Lead in-house power electronics development (converters, inverters, generator controls) to support earth and space-based reactor platforms.
Oversee SIL/HIL and system-level testing, commissioning, and regulatory/power-quality compliance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
B.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in power systems or control systems.
8+ years of experience designing power systems for generation, microgrids, or mission-critical power systems.
3+ years of experience in a formal people management role.
Experience with sizing and integrating high-voltage battery systems with power electronics.
Track record developing power electronics for high-power, medium-voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, inverters, active rectifiers, DC/DC converters, and generator controls.
Background in leading teams with power system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD, ETAP, PSS®E, Simulink, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of power system control modes (grid-forming, grid-following, droop control).
Experience in analyzing system stability, protection behavior, and fault response in complex electrical systems.
Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and results to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in a formal people management role.
Experience with islanded power systems supporting critical loads.
Familiarity with interconnection requirements, grid codes, and relevant IEEE or utility standards.
Experience in modeling dynamic loads and fast-changing electrical demand.
Exposure to nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
Track record of building or scaling an engineering team on complex, safety-critical programs.
