About the Role
Radiant is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanisms to design and develop critical mechanisms within Kaleidos. You will solve unique challenges creating efficient and reliable mechanisms that control reactivity or actuate critical safety features. You will be responsible for the following: trade studies, material selection, detailed structural analysis, assembly, integration, and testing. You will have an instrumental impact of fueling the first new commercial reactor design in over 50 years by 2026.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Ownership of critical mechanisms such as the control blade actuator or air jacket valves.
Conduct trade studies and develop designs to meet program requirements.
Perform detailed thermomechanical analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue) and kinematic analysis to determine structural integrity and performance margins using both hand calculations and finite element tools.
Develop and execute manufacturing/assembly instructions and test plans.
Create and manage a Bill-Of-Materials (BOM).
Find and develop suppliers for components.
Own subassembly design, manufacturing, and test schedules.
Own risk analysis (FMEA) for subsystems.
Collect requirements, provide expertise and feedback to engineers in other functional areas via clear, constructive communication.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
4+ years of experience designing mechanisms.
4+ years of experience performing stress analysis using both hand calculations and finite element tools (Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP, or similar).
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with design of multi-component assemblies in CAD (NX or similar).
Experience designing hardware that was manufactured, deployed, and iteratively improved.
Experience designing pneumatic systems.
Experience integrating electromechanical components such as motors or encoders.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
Solid understanding and application of GD&T.
Proficiency with both “hand calc” analytical methods and higher fidelity finite element-based analysis methods.
Ability to derive free-body diagrams for systems with which one was not previously familiar.
Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Experience with using text-based software development tools.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Radiant is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical system architecture and test infrastructure for Kaleidos, Radiant's commercial microreactor unit targeted for deployment in 2028. You will own end-to-end electrical integration, from early architecture and requirements definition through hardware bring-up, testing, and commissioning, and serve as the technical authority, ensuring the electrical and validation systems are ready to support that milestone.
The ideal candidate brings deep electrical engineering expertise, strong systems-level thinking, and a track record of leading complex hardware programs from concept to deployment. You are equally comfortable making architecture decisions independently and collaborating across mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Define and own electrical and software integration requirements spanning power distribution, signal conditioning, sensor mapping, actuator interfaces, and device simulation.
- Own and build out the electrical test infrastructure for Kaleidos, and establish the test environment as a foundational asset to validate the commercial unit ahead of the 2028 deployment target.
- Establish and maintain communication between hardware, control systems, and software interfaces.
- Define and drive electrical validation strategy; develop test procedures, methodologies, and best practices.
- Manage schedule, budget, and vendor management for electrical hardware and integration activities.
- Optimize test and validation processes; develop tooling and automation to improve efficiency.
- Support electrical integration across multiple critical systems and subsystems.
- Lead design reviews and effectively communicate technical decisions to cross-functional stakeholders. (Electrical integration, embedded, software, controls.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including hands-on hardware design, integration, and test.
- Demonstrated experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving programs with significant scope and ambiguity.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines and deliver a functional product that meets requirements.
- Experience with DAQ and test systems (e.g., NI PXI, dSpace, Speedgoat, or similar platforms).
- Proficiency with software and scripting environments (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand)
- Proficiency with data acquisition systems, test execution, and validation frameworks.
- Strong electrical and software debugging and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, C++, C#, or similar).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with real-time simulation systems and/or FPGA-based hardware.
- Experience with controls fundamentals and software testing processes.

About the Role
We're looking for a Media Relations Director to own Radiant's external media presence—from podcast bookings and journalist relationships to investor amplification and executive communications. This role is critical: despite Radiant having more substance, competitors are seeking to out-hustle us on new media.
You'll be the primary interface between Radiant and the media world, building relationships with podcasters, journalists, and newsletter writers who cover energy, defense, technology, business and more. You'll prep executives for appearances, coordinate amplification campaigns, and ensure every major milestone gets the coverage it deserves.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Drive media coverage for Radiant targeting top-tier outlets, podcasts, shows, and newsletters covering defense, technology, business, government, and energy.
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters at those same publications.
- Cultivate relationships with new media outlets, newsletters, and online publications that reach our audiences.
- Coordinate investor amplification during milestone announcements—pre-briefing investors with draft posts and embargo timing to maximize reach.
- Support executive communications including developing talking points, preparing executives for interviews, and ensuring spokespeople are deployed to appropriate audiences.
- Monitor media landscape and competitors, the industry and more.
- Manage crisis communications when Radiant or the nuclear industry faces negative coverage.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Reactor Systems Engineer to design and implement mission-critical procedures for reactor operators managing our groundbreaking nuclear microreactor technology. This role offers a rare opportunity to bridge engineering, operations, and human factors in a highly technical and fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate complex hardware and software designs into clear, executable, and DOE or NRC compliant procedures. Your work will ensure that Reactor Operators (ROs) and Senior Reactor Operators (SROs) can efficiently and safely execute test, commissioning, and operational activities.
This position goes beyond traditional systems engineering - you will also gain hands-on experience as a Reactor Operator (RO), directly influencing the development of operational software, procedures, and future reactor designs.

Qualify as an operator to gain firsthand experience, ensuring procedures align with real-world execution.
Collaborate closely with engineers to improve operator interfaces, procedural workflows, and software tools.

Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development leverages modern software engineering to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built microreactors that use existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're building a new team to own Radiant's internal data infrastructure, executive analytics, and AI capabilities. As the Senior Manager, Enterprise Data, you'll set the technical direction for the team—architecting the data platform, owning the AI strategy, and ensuring we make the right build-vs-buy decisions.
This is a player-coach role. You'll lead technical direction and mentor engineers, but you'll also go hands-on when needed. You'll own the AI vendor evaluation process, which is critical given our ITAR/EAR security requirements—standard AI tools don't work out of the box, and we need someone who can navigate the landscape and find compliant solutions.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Set technical direction: Define the architecture for our data platform (Databricks, Fivetran, dbt) and AI tooling; make build-vs-buy decisions.
- Own AI strategy: Evaluate and select AI platforms (chatbot, enterprise search, specialized tools) that meet security requirements; lead RAG evaluation in H2.
- Lead technical delivery: Ensure the ION-Ramp integration, dashboards, and AI tools are built correctly; hands-on when needed.
- Mentor engineers: Set the technical bar for hiring; develop the DevOps and Data Platform Engineers on the team.
- Interface with SWE: Coordinate with the Software Engineering team on shared Databricks infrastructure; ensure operational and engineering workloads coexist.
- Navigate security: Work with IT/Security to ensure all technical decisions meet ITAR/EAR compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 7+ years of software or data engineering experience, including hands-on AI/ML work.
- Deep understanding of the AI landscape—you can evaluate vendor tools, understand RAG architectures, and advise on build-vs-buy tradeoffs.
- Data platform architecture experience—you've designed and built systems on Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.
- Strong technical leadership—you can set direction, mentor engineers, and interface effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on ability—you're a player-coach who can write code when needed, not just draw diagrams.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Background in hardware, aerospace, or defense—you understand manufacturing data, supply chain systems, and the complexity of physical product development.
- Experience shipping AI products or building AI capabilities at a company (not just research).
- Experience with data integration tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt).
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ITAR).
- Familiarity with BI/analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks dashboards).
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission.
- Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
- This position requires the ability to work in the United States and eligibility for access to export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR.
