ROLE OVERVIEW
Reflection.AI http://Reflection.AI is looking for a Member of Technical Staff - Security Software Engineer to build our Application Security function from the ground up while contributing to a broad array of projects across the entire Security Engineering organization. You will have a high level of autonomy to architect solutions and drive them through both technical and organizational adversity. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in high-ownership, low-structure environments and has a strong "0 to 1" mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute engineering cycles to a broad array of key projects across the Security organization ranging from our agentic AI incident detection & response SOC to long-running internal AI agents
- Implement security controls around AI agents, including sandboxes, identity, and authorization systems
- Define software supply chain security strategy, tooling, and infrastructure including SCA/SBOM analysis
- Roll out controls to rapidly ingest and act on emerging supply chain attacks
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive threat model of our software stack
- Drive our pentesting program with prioritization guided by your threat model
- Define and socialize foundation secure coding practices and architecture patterns relevant to AI/ML systems
- Integrate SAST tools into CI/CD pipelines for continuous vulnerability analysis
- Define and implement a comprehensive Secure Software Development Lifecycle
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong proficiency with Python or Golang

Role Overview
As Compute and Infrastructure Counsel, you will be the primary legal partner to our Strategy and Operations teams on complex infrastructure projects. You will own the negotiation and execution of agreements that underwrite Reflection’s AI buildout, including strategic hardware partnerships with chip and server makers, hyperscaler and neocloud capacity reservations, data center leases and colocation agreements, power and utility arrangements, and the construction contracts behind new AI factories.
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned commercial lawyer who wants to sit at the intersection of frontier AI and infrastructure. You will operate with significant autonomy, build the playbooks for a function that does not yet exist, and have a direct hand in enabling the physical layer of Reflection’s AI systems.
What You’ll Do
Lead negotiation of large-scale compute and cloud capacity agreements with hyperscalers, neoclouds, and emerging providers — including capacity reservations, minimum commitments, service-level commitments, portability, and exit rights.
Own strategic hardware partnerships with chip, accelerator, server, and networking vendors.
Drive end-to-end legal support for data center and AI factory buildouts — colocation and hosting master agreements, ground and build-to-suit leases, engineering and construction contracts, interconnection agreements, power purchases and utility arrangements.
Structure and negotiate power arrangements: power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, utility service agreements, behind-the-meter generation, and long-term energy and transmission commitments.
Serve as legal lead on strategic infrastructure transactions — joint ventures, site acquisitions, and bespoke financing structures supporting the AI factory roadmap.
Build scalable playbooks, templates, and delegation frameworks so our commercial and infrastructure teams can move at speed without sacrificing rigor.
Partner with Security, Privacy, and Policy colleagues on cross-cutting issues: tenant isolation, customer data flows, sovereign compute, and engagement with regulators.
Manage specialized outside counsel across real estate, energy, hardware, and construction.
What We’re Looking For
J.D. and active bar membership (or in-house registration) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
At least 8+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house experience, with a meaningful track record leading complex infrastructure, hardware supply, or cloud/compute transactions.
Demonstrated depth in at least two of the following, and working fluency across the rest:
Strategic hardware partnerships and supply agreements (semiconductors, accelerators, servers, networking, or comparable).
Hyperscaler and cloud capacity agreements, ideally from the enterprise customer side.
Power purchase, utility, and energy contracting.
Data center leases, colocation and hosting, and large-scale buildout contracting.
Comfortable operating independently on fast-moving, first-of-their-kind deals while setting a high bar for quality and speed.
Significant experience managing and directing a deal team and outside counsel.
Sound commercial judgment — you know when to push, when to paper around an issue, and when to escalate.
Clear written and verbal communication; able to translate contractual complexity for non-lawyer stakeholders.
Technical fluency and strong business acumen across compute transactions, project finance, and technology and hardware procurement. We are building this function from the ground up, not inheriting one.
Nice to Have
Prior experience at an AI lab, hyperscaler, semiconductor company, or large-scale data center operator.
Exposure to construction, real estate or land use matters.
Familiarity with tax and financing structures for capital-intensive infrastructure.

Role Overview
We're looking for a core member of Reflection's Applied AI team to drive model fine-tuning and evaluations for enterprise customers. This team takes Reflection's open-weight models and adapts them for specific customer domains, tasks, and constraints. As a ML Engineer, you will work hands-on with customer data, run fine-tuning workflows, build evaluation harnesses, and deploy adapted models to production. You'll work directly with customers to understand what they need and with research teams to push what's possible.
What You'll Do
Fine-tune Reflection's open-weight models for customer-specific use cases: prepare datasets, configure training runs (SFT, preference optimization, reinforcement fine-tuning), and iterate based on evals.
Build and maintain evaluation infrastructure: design eval suites, curate test sets, establish baselines, and measure whether fine-tuned models actually improve on the tasks customers care about.
Prepare training data from raw customer inputs: inspect data quality, clean and format datasets, identify adversarial or noisy samples, and build reproducible data pipelines.
Debug and diagnose training and inference issues: interpret loss curves, catch data quality problems, and identify when training dynamics indicate something is wrong.
Support end-to-end deployments of fine-tuned models across hybrid environments (public cloud, VPC, and on-premises), helping ensure inference performance and reliability in production.
Contribute to evolving playbooks, evaluation benchmarks, and best practices as part of a growing fine-tuning and evals practice.
What We're Looking For
Applied ML experience with hands-on fine-tuning of language models. You have prepared datasets, run training loops, evaluated results, and shipped a fine-tuned model. Familiarity with SFT, DPO, RLHF, or similar techniques.
Understanding of evaluation methodology: how to design evals, interpret training graphs, and tell whether a model is actually better or just overfitting to the benchmark.
Comfort with training infrastructure: GPUs, compute management, debugging common training failures. You don't need to be an infra engineer, but you should not be afraid of a stack trace from a training loop.
Strong software engineering fundamentals (Python). You write clean, reproducible code. Experience with data pipelines and version control for datasets and experiments.
3+ years of engineering experience with meaningful exposure to applied ML or ML engineering (e.g., MLE, Applied Scientist, Data Scientist who shipped models to production, or ML-focused SWE).
Demonstrated ability and interest to work in customer-facing environments, understanding user needs and translating domain requirements into training strategies.
Self-starter with high agency and ownership, excelling in fast-paced startup environments where playbooks are still being written.
