About the Role:
- Lead sourcing and supplier management for custom machined components and major vehicle structures ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies, including supplier selection, long-term agreements, and capacity planning to support Terran-R build schedules
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to influence design for manufacturability and align procurement with program milestones
- Drive supplier performance through rigorous risk management, contract negotiations, and milestone-based tracking
- Mentor and support team members, building expertise in precision machining processes and supplier development
- Act as a thought leader for machining commodities, continuously improving sourcing processes, supplier health, and program readiness
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing milestone-based agreements
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 5-axis milling, turning, precision grinding, EDM, and tight-tolerance fabrication
- MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
- Direct experience managing machining commodities in aerospace (CNC machined components, castings, forgings, sheet metal fabrication, extrusions, etc.)
- Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards (specifically for machining processes), supplier qualifications, and audit processes
- Proven success driving supplier performance improvements through KPIs, recovery plans, and long-term agreements
- New Product Development (NPD) or Introduction (NPI) supply chain experience, preferably within aerospace or frontier technology industries
- Proficiency in supplier risk assessment, machining cost modeling, and capacity planning
- Understanding of material specifications, surface treatments, and inspection requirements for aerospace-grade machined parts

About the Team:
The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R’s nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team leverages close partnership between avionics design, manufacturing, and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity, working closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. About the Role:
- Own the design, routing, and integration of electrical wire harnessing within the Terran R Avionics System from conception to qualification and production, including connectors, cable, and supports
- Collaborate across various disciplines including structures, electrical hardware, propulsion, and software to optimize system-level avionics design through architecture trades and requirements definition
- Utilize 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and electrical design packages to deliver detailed designs with considerations for production and test
- Validate designs for flight through rapid prototyping and test campaigns
- Support vehicle-level integration activities by defining avionics systems integration operations, checkouts, and test plans
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a full lifecycle design engineering role
- Experience with electrical harness design and mechanical routing in 3D CAD software
- Experience with the integration and test of complex, multi-disciplinary electrical systems
Nice to haves but not required:
- Proficiency with NX CAD and Teamcenter
- Experience with Zuken E3 electrical design software
- Experience with scripting and software development to support hardware bring-up activities (e.g. Python, LabView, C/C++)

About the Role:
- As a leader of a portion of the Avionics Test team, you will manage a team of test engineers owning the design, development and implementation of fully automated test systems supporting the production of Terran R electronics
- You will work with cross-functional partner hardware and software design teams in support of creating manufacturing test assets to complete acceptance and qualification testing
- A strong candidate for the role will have a deep technical background in electronics testing and will coach individual engineers in technical and non-technical best practices while fostering a culture of collaboration and high-performance
About You:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with electronics hardware simulation, automation, and/or test • Experience leading engineers in best-practices and domain-specific technical principles
- Experience with ownership of complex test system design for motor drives, DC-DC converters, load switches, high voltage DC electronics, and/or high voltage energy storage
- Experience in strategic planning, design, development, debugging, and maintenance of test systems in a production environment
- Experience with environmental and qualification testing, including vibration, thermal, shock, and EMI/EMC validation
Nice to haves but not required:
- Experience with a schematic capture & PCB design tool such as Altium Designer
- Experience with analog sensors such as pressure transducers, RTDs, and accelerometers
- Experience with embedded software development and integration for avionics systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for data acquisition/recording and analysis
- Experience with wire harness design
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as NX

About the Team:
The Interplanetary Sciences Program was established to expand access to scientific exploration across our solar system. Its mission is to make planetary research faster, more affordable, and more capable than ever before by rethinking how science missions are designed, built, and operated. The program aims to enable scientists to send instruments to distant worlds without decades of development or prohibitive costs. By creating a sustainable model for interplanetary exploration, we are transforming space science from an occasional event into a continuous process of discovery that accelerates knowledge, broadens participation, and inspires the next generation of explorers.
About the Role:
As the Staff Electrical Engineer within the Interplanetary Sciences Program, you will own the next generation of deep space compute and storage capability by leveraging the latest terrestrial technologies and challenging the status quo of onboard compute and storage to other planets.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and qualifying high performance spacecraft electronics within the span of compute modules, network switches, storage nodes, and communications terminals. You will be working closely with the science team to maximize capability by balancing the capability (CPU, GPU, storage capacity, network bandwidth) with the technical constraints of the flight spacecraft (power, thermal, EMI, mechanical, reliability, etc…). This role will also work closely in conjunction with the software team to bring up the core software infrastructure both on the spacecraft and on the ground side, and iterating with the software team to ensure the full system elements operate as intended in all environments.
This role will be a high responsibility, high autonomy, and high accountability role within a fast-paced, iterative environment, where rapid prototyping, early testing, and continuous learning are key to success. You’ll lead hands-on development campaigns to evaluate key technologies, derisk interfaces, and validate performance before full system integration. You’ll also work across internal and external teams to turn concepts into hardware, balancing agility and rigor as you move quickly from analysis to prototypes to flight-ready systems.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years designing and delivering high performance digital electronics
- Proven experience leading design, bringup, and validation of sophisticated board level electronics
- Hands-on work with challenging thermal and electromechanical environments
- Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
Nice to haves but not required:
- Direct architecture or EE design experience with non-volatile storage, mobile compute, and/or server class computing is a plus
- Experience designing power supplies for digital electronics, such as multi rail converters with strict sequencing requirements
- Experience with compute and storage survivability in space and radiation environments is a plus
- Strong grasp of practical systems integration and risk management in a development program

About the Role:
As the Staff Spacecraft Responsible Engineer within the Interplanetary Sciences Program at Relativity Space, you will own the end-to-end definition, integration, and delivery of the spacecraft bus and its interaction with mission payloads. You will serve as the technical and programmatic focal point ensuring that spacecraft-level requirements, interfaces, and performance budgets (power, mass, thermal, comm, etc.) are properly defined, tracked, and met throughout the mission lifecycle.
You’ll collaborate across internal teams and with external spacecraft bus providers to ensure mission success, from design and procurement through integration, test, launch, and operations. This position blends systems engineering, vendor management, and hands-on mission execution, offering a high degree of ownership and impact.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft or satellite systems engineering, integration, or mission design
- Proven ability to manage complex systems multiple vendors and customers
- Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems (power, thermal, comms, ADCS, propulsion, etc.) and their interdependencies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through integration and test, launch campaigns, or mission operations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to interface across technical and programmatic boundaries

About the Team:
The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R's nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team leverages close partnership between avionics design, manufacturing, and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity, working closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. About the Role:
As the Lead of Avionics Battery Test Engineering, you will build and lead the team responsible for all high-voltage battery testing at Relativity, spanning performance, electrical, abuse, and destructive test programs at both the pack and cell level. You will stand up this capability from the ground up: defining the test strategy, building out lab and test infrastructure, establishing safety and procedural standards, and hiring and developing a team that includes electrical/performance test engineers and abuse/destructive test engineers, as well as cell-science expertise. You will oversee HV battery bring-up, pack- and cell-level testing, structured failure analysis, and the data systems that turn test results into rapid, high-quality feedback for design teams. This role requires a strong technical foundation in battery testing and energetics, hands-on lab expertise, and experience managing test teams in fast-paced development environments.

The Avionics team is responsible for all aspects of the electrical design on the rocket, from electronics, interconnects, associated mechanical design, testing and initial production. This team's scope includes the flight computers, power systems, RF systems, PCB design, autonomous flight safety systems, and telemetry. This team works on complex electrical systems that require modularity and flexibility, and are critical to the successful launch of Terran R, and beyond!
About the Role:
Build out and commission RF Ground Systems in support of Terran R launch campaigns through the operation of telemetry receivers and ground station equipment during launches, flight tests, and ground operations. Integrate and troubleshoot complex RF hardware systems including antennas, receivers, amplifiers, filters, and RF distribution networks. Monitor and validate signal quality metrics during launch operations including signal strength, bit error rates, and link performance. Develop and execute operational procedures, readiness checklists, and troubleshooting guides for ground RF systems. Travel to ground station sites and launch locations to support deployments and operations (25-50% travel expected)
About You:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with RF systems, ground station operations, and/or telemetry systems
- Hands-on experience with commercial telemetry receivers and ground station equipment
- Understanding of RF fundamentals including link budgets, distortion, and signal quality metrics
- Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and network analyzers
- Ability to troubleshoot complex RF hardware systems under time pressure during critical operations

About the Team:
The Relativity Space NDE Team is dedicated to the integrity of our product while tackling the challenges of our novel manufacturing methods. We are tasked with developing and executing inspection of a huge variety of materials and components using cutting-edge industry technology. From crafting in-house processes and procedures that adhere to industry standards, to executing inspection operations, our team maintains a steadfast commitment to accuracy and reliability.
About the Role:
- Lead feasibility studies, probability of detection (POD) trials, and qualification plans in partnership with NDE Engineers and UT/PAUT Inspectors.
- Develop, document, and publish part-specific PAUT inspection techniques for a wide range of parts and assemblies.
- Perform UT/PAUT inspections using established and advanced methods, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Serve as the primary subject-matter expert and point of contact for UT/PAUT inspection development.
- Support the team to help facilitate inspections outside of your primary method(s), i.e. RT, ET, ECA, etc
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, implement, and optimize automated inspection systems.
- Mentor other Specialists and Inspectors, guiding their development.
- Conduct internal audits and act as technical POC for external audits
- Manage technical tasks and oversee project segments, working independently with minimal supervision
- Partner with vendors to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve inspection equipment and supporting technologies.
- Evaluate PAUT datasets to determine inspection quality and apply accept/reject criteria.
- Generate detailed, accurate documentation and formal reports of inspection results and analysis.
- Communicate inspection findings and future opportunities to cross-functional stakeholders and external partners
- Apply a deep understanding of NDE inspection plans, procedures, and techniques to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
About You:
- Current NDE Level II or III Certification in Ultrasonics (UTSW & PAUT)
- Minimum of 10 years total experience in NDE; 6 of which shall be in a commercial aerospace manufacturing setting or other heavily regulated industry (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Nuclear)
- Experience/ Substantial input in multiple projects of medium to high complexity
- Open to travel (10% - 25%)
Nice to haves but not required:
- ASNT NDE Level 3 Certification in UT
- NDE Level 2 Certification in ultrasonics Eddy Current (ET, ECA), dye penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), visual inspection (VT,CWI),
- Familiarity with basic concepts of Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Radiation Safety training
- Experience with inspection of additively manufactured materials
- Experience inspecting various materials and geometries
- Knowledge of industry standards (NASA, AMS, AWS/ASME, ASTM, etc.)
- Experience with qualification of NDE inspection techniques/procedures in one or more volumetric methods
- Experience with CAD
- Experience Auditing 3rd Party NDE Vendors
- Experience with QA/QC and/or Lean Manufacturing concepts and applications.
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Stennis, Mississippi.
