Position Summary: As a Spatial Sequencing Associate 2 , you will support a collaborative team of engineers and scientists to run customer tissue samples on the G4X Spatial Sequencer. The ideal candidate will have experience in standard molecular biology techniques for handling nucleic acids (e.g., DNA/RNA purification, PCR amplification, isothermal amplification, and library preparation for next generation sequencing) and be familiar with common enzymes that interact with DNA/RNA. Experience with next generation DNA sequencing (instrumentation and analysis) and handling of tissues on flow cells is a plus. Expertise in immunoassays (IHC, IF, ISH), familiarity with microscopy-based readouts (particularly fluorescence) and experience with multiplexed assay workflows are essential. You will provide guidance to assay developers to identify appropriate controls, optimize workflows, and implement enhancements that improve assay robustness and reliability. Responsibilities : Execute experiments to characterize antibody activity using immunofluorescence or IHC across diverse tissue types and conditions. Support antibody validation efforts using molecular biology techniques (e.g. SDS-PAGE), immunoassays, and/or G4X spatial biology assay across various tissue types. Day-to-day operation of the G4X sequencer. Manually prepare customer samples provided for spatial sequencing. Load consumables and program sequencing runs. Perform primary analysis of run data. Perform regular instrument maintenance. Daily run metrics and quality of sequencing performance review. Complete documentation to support data capture, forms, logbooks, and inventory batch records. Contribute to late-stage optimization of spatial biology workflows, ensuring readiness for product launch. Scheduling, usage forecasting and inventory management of consumables. Complete documentation to support logbooks, and inventory batch records. Qualifications: BS in a Science or Engineering field or 5 years of working experience in equivalent field. Strong molecular biology laboratory skills, demonstrated by work experience. Hands-on experience with multiplexed and immunoassay workflows (required). Strong analytical and documentation skills; experience maintaining accurate, detailed records. Experience with running, maintaining, and troubleshooting lab equipment. Working knowledge of fluorescence microscopy and imaging-based readouts is a strong plus. Familiarity with spatial biology platforms and workflows is a strong plus. Experience interpreting NGS-based transcriptomic and proteomic data is a strong asset. Desire and ability to work in a small interdisciplinary team to develop new technologies at a rapid pace. The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $74,900 - $88,100. Position Summary: As a Manufacturing Specialist 1 , you will be responsible for producing high quality flow cells by carefully following standard operating procedures. You must be able to handle multiple tasks and perform them with the highest regard for quality. We are seeking a self-driven, pro-active individual who enjoys a unique opportunity to do both routine work and to help create manufacturing processes from the ground up. We are looking for someone that pays significant attention to detail and carefully documents all observations and methodology. Responsibilities : Manufacture and characterize flow cells according to protocols and ensure that production scheduled is maintained. Guaranty that all quality checks are performed and followed appropriately. Maintain excellent record keeping (GDP). Meticulously document production into batch records and report/communicate all production observations. Able to execute against batch records, work instructions and SOPs. Assist with quality control flow cell testing. Prepare basic laboratory tasks – prepare buffer solutions by pipetting different solvents, carefully handle reagents, and assist with lab cleanliness and organization. Assemble flow cells using hand tools and fixtures. Complete routine tasks with maximum precision, accountability, and reliability. Demonstrates high level of detail orientation and organizational skills. Consults with management regarding assignments and works independently at main manufacturing site to support production. Assist in day-to-day setup and running of lab operations. Maintain lab in accordance with all EH&S programs and always follow safety and quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific field preferred but not required. 0-2 years of research laboratory experience is preferred. Experience in doing basic calculation is required. Experience with following SOPs and batch records. Able to multi-task and rapidly learn new techniques and approaches. MUST be physically able to handle chemicals (up to 20lbs) safely and properly. Capable of handling and pipetting small volumes (e.g. <10 µL). Must be passionate, fast learner, team-oriented and detail-oriented person with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communications skills (Word, Power point, Excel and Smartsheet). Position Summary: As a Senior Scientist on the Bioinformatics team , you will play a key role in expanding Singular Genomics' spatial biology platform and service offerings. This position sits at the intersection of computational biology, assay development, and hands-on scientific computing. You will report into the Bioinformatics functional group and, initially, be matrixed into the Panel Design team to focus on its most pressing needs. Your initial focus will be supporting the design and optimization of targeted in situ transcriptomics panels for tissue- and disease-specific applications. This includes selecting biologically informative genes for cell type identification, defining pathway-focused content that enables cell-state interpretation, and developing computational tools to automate and improve panel design. As the platform and services continue to evolve, you will contribute to the development of spatial bioinformatics workflows, analysis pipelines, and computational methods that enable customers to generate meaningful biological insight from spatial multiomics data. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys applying computational approaches to challenging biological problems while building software that directly impacts cutting-edge products and services. This position can be remote or hybrid/on-site. If remote, travel to the headquarters in San Diego, CA will be required at least quarterly. Responsibilities : Primary Responsibilities: Support the computational design and optimization of targeted spatial transcriptomics panels for tissue- and disease-specific applications. Define biologically relevant panel content by integrating current literature, public datasets, and pathway knowledge to support cell type annotation and cell state characterization. Develop computational methods and software tools for automated panel design, probe evaluation, and panel optimization. Collaborate closely with molecular biology, chemistry, and assay development teams to iteratively improve probe performance and panel quality. Evaluate panel performance using internal datasets and external spatial and single-cell reference atlases. Spatial Bioinformatics Develop and maintain analysis pipelines for spatial transcriptomics and spatial multiomics datasets. Apply modern spatial bioinformatics methods to support sequencer / assay development and biological interpretation, including cell typing, differential expression, pathway analysis, spatial neighborhood analysis, and cell-state characterization. Work with scientists across R&D to develop new analysis capabilities that support expanding service offerings. Stay current with advances in spatial biology, single-cell genomics, and computational biology, incorporating new approaches where appropriate. Scientific Software & Automation Write clear, workable code (primarily Python) to automate panel design, analysis, and other repetitive scientific tasks. Build and maintain automated analysis workflows that make routine spatial and single-cell analyses repeatable and easy to run. Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates with an MS plus industry experience will also be considered. Experience analyzing spatial transcriptomics, single-cell sequencing, or related genomics datasets. Strong understanding of tissue biology, cell type annotation, and pathway-based biological interpretation. Proficiency writing analysis code in Python; able to produce clear, workable code without requiring production-software polish. Experience building automated analysis workflows or pipelines. • Working knowledge of Linux-based computational environments. Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS preferred). • Familiarity with image-based spatial technologies or microscopy data. Position Summary: We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our core software team and contribute across pipeline engineering, operational tooling, and field support. This is a generalist role, where you will be embedded in the team that builds and maintains our core sequencing analysis platform, and you'll help keep that platform healthy and the team around it moving fast. On any given day, that might mean fixing a bug in the image backup pipeline, triaging a failed sequencing run reported by the field team, improving panel validation logic, or maintaining the build and regression infrastructure that the team depends on. You don't need deep expertise in any one niche, you need solid Python fundamentals, a get-things-done orientation, and the judgment to work confidently across a large, real production codebase. This position can be remote or on-site. If remote, travel to the headquarters in San Diego, CA will be required at least quarterly. Responsibilities: Contribute to active development on the sequencing analysis pipeline in Python, including bug fixes, feature work, and code reviews. Own and maintain build configuration, CI/CD pipelines, and regression infrastructure (Jenkins, Bitbucket, HPC). Respond to inbound triage requests from the field and internal teams, diagnosing and resolving pipeline failures on sequencing instruments. Develop and maintain operational tooling including re-run utilities, job monitoring, and pipeline configuration management. Work on data handling features including backup/upload logic, panel management, and sample sheet validation. Implement locking, concurrency controls, and other reliability improvements to the pipeline execution framework. Support package management and dependency maintenance across Python and JavaScript/TypeScript projects. Develop and maintain lightweight web services, internal APIs, and database-backed tooling to support engineering and field operations. Identify and close gaps in observability, documentation, and operational processes. Required Qualifications: 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience. Solid Python skills; comfortable working in a large, production codebase with real operational requirements. Familiarity with Linux, HPC environments, and distributed job execution. Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and package tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, Poetry). Comfortable reading and debugging across a broad codebase, including relational databases, web services and pipeline orchestration (Airflow or similar). Working knowledge of JavaScript and openness to learning TypeScript. Strong debugging instincts and the ability to triage ambiguous failures under time pressure. Good c ommunication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
