COMPANY OVERVIEW
TENEX.AI is an AI-native, automation-first Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider built on Google Cloud Security infrastructure. We combine Google SecOps (Chronicle), Mandiant threat intelligence, and Google Threat Intelligence to deliver enterprise-grade defense at scale
We're a fast growing startup backed by industry experts and top tier investors led by Crosspoint Capital Partners and also backed by Shield Capital, DTCP (formerly Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners), Deepwork Capital, and the Florida Opportunity Fund. Seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). As an early employee, you'll play a meaningful role in defining and building our culture. Get in on the ground floor. We're a small but well-funded team that just raised a substantial round – joining now comes with limited risk and unlimited upside.
Culture is one of the most important things at TENEX.AI—explore our culture deck at culture.tenex.ai to witness how we embody it, prioritizing the irreplaceable collaboration and community of in-person work to defend security-conscious organizations against the most sophisticated threats.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a founding role in TENEX's cloud security go-to-market motion. As Enterprise Sales Director, Cloud Security, you will own new business development for Wiz-focused CNAPP and cloud-native security solutions. You will work alongside TENEX's Google Cloud Security co-sell motion, engage directly with CISOs and cloud security leaders, and position TENEX as the MDR layer that makes Wiz deployments operationally complete.
Wiz was acquired by Google (Alphabet) for $32B in 2026, cementing CNAPP as the centerpiece of enterprise cloud security. This role puts you at the intersection of that momentum, TENEX's AI-native MDR platform, and a co-sell motion built for scale.
THE PROFILE
A seller who understands the Wiz platform deeply, including the Security Graph, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, and code-to-cloud visibility, and can articulate how TENEX MDR extends and operationalizes that investment.
A professional with experience selling into multicloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) where fragmented tooling and alert fatigue are everyday CISO pain points.
A relationship-driven closer who can navigate the DevSecOps buyer alongside the traditional security buyer, speaking fluently to both engineering and executive audiences.
A co-sell operator who knows how to work within a hyperscaler partner ecosystem, activating Google Cloud, Wiz channel partners, and the Wiz Integration Network (WIN) to drive pipeline.
A professional committed to replacing legacy SIEM and fragmented point tools with a unified, context-rich approach to cloud security.
Someone who leads with humility but carries the gravitas to challenge the status quo in a customer's cloud security program.
Someone who genuinely wants to give good the advantage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and execute a cloud security sales strategy targeting enterprise accounts across your assigned territory, with a primary focus on Wiz-led CNAPP opportunities.
Develop and manage co-sell pipeline with Wiz field teams, Google Cloud Security reps, and channel partners in the Wiz Integration Network (WIN).
Engage CISOs, cloud security architects, DevSecOps leads, and procurement stakeholders to position TENEX as the MDR partner that operationalizes cloud-native security investments.
Lead discovery conversations that tie Wiz CNAPP visibility gaps to TENEX's AI-driven detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
Manage full enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and close, with deal sizes typically $300K to $1M+ ARR.
Collaborate with TENEX Customer Engineering and SOC leadership to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and custom proof-of-value engagements.
Maintain pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting in Salesforce; participate in weekly CRO deal reviews.
Represent TENEX at cloud security events, Wiz partner forums, Google NEXT, and relevant industry conferences.
Travel up to 50% to build executive relationships and accelerate key deals.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Cloud Security Expertise
5+ years of enterprise security sales experience, with at least 2 years focused on cloud security, CNAPP, CSPM, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Wiz platform: Security Graph, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, IaC scanning, container and Kubernetes security, and data security posture management (DSPM).
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and the unique security challenges of multicloud and hybrid environments.
Understanding of the DevSecOps buyer journey and how to position security solutions that span development, cloud operations, and security operations teams.
Experience selling alongside or into the Wiz partner ecosystem (WIN, cloud marketplaces, MSSPs) is strongly preferred.
Sales & GTM Skills
Proven track record of exceeding quota in enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales ($500K to $2M+ ARR deal cycles).
Experience executing co-sell motions with hyperscalers (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) or strategic ISV partners.
Strong command of structured sales methodologies: MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Sandler.
Ability to build and manage complex multi-threaded opportunities across technical, security, and executive buying centers.
Proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools (Outreach, Apollo, HubSpot).
Communication & Presence
Ability to present to and earn trust with CISOs, CIOs, and cloud platform owners.
Strong business case development skills: can translate cloud security risk into financial impact and executive narrative.
Comfortable navigating both the security operations and engineering buyer simultaneously.
NICE TO HAVE
Active Wiz certifications (Wiz Certified Associate, Wiz Certified Professional, or Wiz CNAPP Sales Specialist).
Google Cloud Security sales experience or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer certification.
Background at a CNAPP, CSPM, or cloud-native security vendor (Wiz, Orca Security, Lacework, Prisma Cloud, Sysdig).
Experience displacing legacy SIEM and MDR vendors in competitive cloud security evaluations.
Familiarity with MDR services, SIEM platforms (Chronicle/Google SecOps, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel), EDR, and SOAR.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Sales certifications such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales, or Sandler Training are a plus.
Cloud or security certifications (Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Wiz certifications, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

Tenex.ai is an AI-native Managed Detection and Response (MDR) company. We combine AI-driven detection engineering with elite analyst expertise to defend security-conscious organizations against the most sophisticated threats. As a strategic Microsoft partner, we are building a differentiated MDR offering on top of the Microsoft Security stack — Sentinel, Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Entra, and Purview — so customers can get more value, faster, from the Microsoft investment they already own.
We’re a fast growing startup backed by industry experts and top tier investors led by Crosspoint Capital Partners and also backed by Shield Capital, DTCP (formerly Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners), Deepwork Capital, and the Florida Opportunity Fund. Seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). As an early employee, you’ll play a meaningful role in defining and building our culture. Get in on the ground floor. We’re a small but well-funded team that just raised a substantial round – joining now comes with limited risk and unlimited upside
The Role
We are hiring an Enterprise Sales Director, Microsoft Security to lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in mid-market and enterprise accounts where Microsoft is the dominant security platform. You will partner deeply with Microsoft’s field organization — AEs, CSAs, GBBs, and Partner teams — to develop and close joint pipeline that aligns Tenex MDR to customer security roadmaps and Microsoft’s strategic priorities.
This is a senior, quota-carrying role for a seller who knows how to navigate Microsoft commercial constructs (E3/E5/E7, MACC/EA/MCA, Azure consumption, Marketplace private offers), build durable Microsoft alliance relationships, and execute disciplined, multi-quarter enterprise security sales motions.
What You’ll Do
Own and exceed a multi-million-dollar ARR quota across a defined territory or vertical patch.
Build and execute a Microsoft co-sell strategy — develop relationships across AEs, CSAs/CSAMs, GBBs, STUs, and Partner Development Managers; drive joint account planning and shared pipeline.
Position Tenex MDR alongside customers’ existing Microsoft Security investments, leveraging Sentinel, Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Entra, and Purview deployments to land and expand.
Transact through the optimal commercial path for each customer: direct, Microsoft Marketplace, private offer, or Partner Center co-sell.
Run rigorous discovery, MEDDPICC/MEDDIC qualification, and executive value selling — articulate ROI to CISOs, CIOs, and security leadership.
Partner with Sales Engineering, Detection Engineering, and Customer Success to scope, validate, and operationalize MDR engagements.
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and account intelligence in CRM.
Represent Tenex at Microsoft field events, MISA gatherings, and industry conferences.
Required Experience
5+ years of enterprise security sales experience with demonstrated success selling Microsoft Security solutions across Azure (Sentinel, Defender for Cloud) and M365 (Defender XDR, Entra, Purview) into mid-market and enterprise accounts.
Working knowledge of Microsoft commercial constructs — including E3/E5/E7 and security add-on SKUs, MACC/EA/MCA agreements, Azure consumption motions, and Microsoft Marketplace / private offer transaction paths — with the ability to position Tenex MDR alongside the customer’s existing Microsoft investment.
Proven track record co-selling with Microsoft field sellers (AE, CSA, GBB, Partner teams), navigating Partner Center and co-sell motions, and building joint pipeline that aligns to Microsoft’s security priorities and customer roadmaps.
Consistent attainment of $2M+ annual quota selling cybersecurity or adjacent enterprise software.
Strong executive presence with the ability to lead CISO- and CIO-level conversations.
Experience navigating complex, multi-threaded sales cycles across security, IT, and procurement stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
Microsoft Certified: AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) or SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
Existing relationships within Microsoft’s security field organization or the MISA partner community.
Prior experience at a Microsoft-aligned security ISV, MSSP, or MDR provider.
Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
Experience selling MDR, MSSP, or SOC-as-a-Service offerings.
Help build the category-defining MDR offering on the Microsoft Security stack.
Strategic Microsoft partnership with active co-sell motion and Marketplace transactability.
Work alongside elite detection engineers and analysts solving the hardest defender problems.
Remote-first culture with a senior, high-trust team.
Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate will be able to work a hybrid in office schedule in our Overland Park,KS or Sarasota, FL office. TENEX will offer a paid relocation package for those open to relocation to either location.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a foundational role that will help build and grow Tenex’s learning and development offerings. That means writing the playbooks, launching and delivering training programs, defining what "good" looks like for how customers learn to get value from the platform and how our customer-facing teams stay sharp. You'll report directly to the VP of Customer Success and work alongside a tight team of CSMs, Field Delivery Engineers, and Implementation Engineers.
If you want to own a charter end-to-end, have a direct line to senior leadership, and see your work reflected in customer retention and CSM effectiveness metrics — this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Customer-Facing Live Training
Design, schedule, and deliver a catalog of live training sessions for customer stakeholders — from SOC analysts to security executives
Build and maintain a training calendar aligned to customer lifecycle stages (onboarding, adoption, expansion, renewal)
Develop session templates, facilitator guides, and post-session materials that can be reused and scaled
Track attendance, completion, and engagement; iterate based on feedback and outcome data
Self-Service Learning & Education
Architect and launch a scalable self-service education program — video content, knowledge base, certification tracks, or a formal LMS
Create on-demand content that maps to Tenex's four GTM motions and customer maturity levels
Partner with Product and Marketing to keep content current as the platform evolves
Define success metrics: content engagement, course completion, time-to-competency, and correlation to retention
Internal CSM & Field Enablement
Build the enablement muscle for Tenex's customer-facing team — onboarding programs for new hires, ongoing skills development, and product knowledge upskilling
Partner with organizational leaders to identify skill gaps and design targeted training to close them
Instrument enablement effectiveness through leading indicators like ramp time, QBR quality scores, and manager assessment
Learning & Development Architecture
Design the foundational L&D operating model for Tenex as the company scales — governance, tooling, content taxonomy, and measurement framework
Make the build-vs-buy-vs-partner call on LMS and content tooling; own vendor evaluation and rollout
Create a content governance process to ensure accuracy, freshness, and brand consistency
Advise leadership on L&D investment priorities as headcount and customer count grow
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
5+ years in a customer education, training, enablement, or instructional design role — ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise tech
Demonstrated experience building education programs from scratch, not just inheriting and running existing ones
Ability to develop content across modalities: live facilitation, on-demand video, written knowledge base, certification frameworks
Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can translate technical concepts for a security analyst and strategic concepts for a CISO
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action — you'll define the problem as often as you'll solve it
Data fluency: you know how to measure whether training is working and can build reporting that leadership trusts
Strongly Preferred
Experience in cybersecurity, MDR, SIEM/SOAR, or adjacent security operations domains
Experience building internal enablement programs for CS or sales teams
Familiarity with LMS platforms and content authoring tools
Track record of working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Sales to align education strategy with company GTM
Prior experience in a high-growth startup or early-stage company where you had to build foundational systems
GROWTH PATH
This role is intentionally scoped as an IC today because we want someone who will own the craft first. As Tenex scales, the expectation is that this role grows into leading a team — whether that's a dedicated education team, a broader enablement function, or both. We'll evaluate that together based on business need and your performance. If you want to build something you can eventually lead, this is the right place.
WHY TENEX
Direct access to senior leadership — your work will be seen and valued at the top of the company
A company that is winning: AI-native MDR built on Google SecOps in a market that is growing fast
A CS org with strong leadership DNA — built by people who have operated at scale and know what good looks like
Real ownership: you will define the function, not just execute someone else's playbook
Competitive compensation, equity, relocation package and benefits

This role is perfect for those already in the Scottsdale, AZ, Sarasota, FL or Kansas City, MO metro area, or eager to join us. Immerse yourself in a high-performance environment built on integrity, innovation, and a relentless drive to protect our customers.
About the Role
TENEX.AI is the AI-native, human-led MDR provider. This Director owns the foundational delivery of our MDR service: how we build, deploy, manage, and integrate the platforms our service runs on: Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Tenex Platform. The mandate is time-to-protection and repeatable, high-quality multi-SIEM delivery at scale, standing platforms up cleanly, wiring in the customer's data and tooling, operationalizing detection content and context, and keeping it all running well across the portfolio.
This is an engineering leadership role, not an advisory or product-building one. The team implements and manages the platforms and works closely with the teams that deliver advisory engagements and develop agentic use cases; deploying and integrating what they produce and relaying field context back to them.
What You'll Do
Own time-to-protection across our supported platforms — the speed and repeatability of standing up Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Tenex Platform in customer environments for example.
Lead multi-SIEM engineering — build, deploy, and manage pipelines, parsers, detections, playbooks and other configuration across Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Tenex Platform.
Own integrations — data-source onboarding, connector/API work, and normalization that wire the customer's environment and security tooling into the SIEMs and the Tenex Platform; build integration patterns that get reused, not rebuilt.
Own context engineering — the data mappings, entity resolution, tuning, and environment knowledge that make the platforms actually perform per customer.
Own ongoing platform management — health, optimization, and lifecycle of deployed platforms across the book of business.
Build the repeatable delivery machine — playbooks, intake, quality gates, and a capacity model that let the team scale against pipeline instead of heroics.
Lead and scale the team — hire, coach, and develop the engineers responsible for platform implementation, content, and integration; manage capacity against the customer pipeline; own delivery quality, SLOs, and OKRs.
Run the cross-team interfaces — partner with customer success, product management, threat intelligence, and cyber defense across the delivery lifecycle, and maintain clean support/relay channels with the advisory and agentic engineering functions.
What You Bring
Must-have
8+ years in security engineering, security operations, or detection engineering, with 3+ years managing engineers (ideally managing leads/managers).
Hands-on depth across both major SIEMs: Google SecOps (Chronicle — ingestion, parsers/CBN, YARA-L, entity graph) and Microsoft Sentinel (KQL, analytics rules, data connectors, Log Analytics) — or deep in one and strongly credible in the other, with clear ability to lead both.
Integration engineering — data-source onboarding, connector/API development, and normalization across platforms.
Demonstrated track record building repeatable delivery at scale — playbooks, quality gates, capacity planning — not just running individual projects.
Strong customer-facing communication; can own a delivery relationship with a customer security team.
Comfort with multi-tenant delivery and content-as-code / CI/CD workflows.
Nice-to-have
SOAR / automation (Chronicle SOAR, Sentinel automation rules & playbooks).
Pipeline and telemetry tooling (Bindplane, Logstash, or equivalent).
Terraform / IaC for repeatable environment standup.
Prior MSSP / MDR / managed security services experience.
Experience operating alongside agentic and advisory functions without absorbing their scope.
What Success Looks Like
90-day: Multi-SIEM delivery playbooks and quality gates in place. Time-to-protection baseline measured across SecOps and Sentinel deployments. Team capacity model built against pipeline. Support/relay interfaces with the advisory and agentic engineering functions defined and agreed.
6-month: Measurable reduction in time-to-protection across both SIEMs. Integration patterns reused rather than rebuilt. Ongoing platform management running to a defined health/optimization cadence. Team staffed to plan.
12-month: A repeatable, metric-driven multi-platform delivery machine that scales sub-linearly to customer growth. Managed platforms healthy across the book. The "we support, they own" interfaces to the advisory and agentic engineering functions running smoothly, with no scope drift in either direction.
