About the Role
The Manager, Customer Success Operations owns the operating system beneath our post-sales organization — the data, tooling, voice-of-customer signal, and operating cadence that let Customer Success, the Rapid Deployment Team, and Professional Services run on facts instead of anecdote.
Where a Customer Success Manager owns the customer relationship and an Engagement Manager owns a scoped engagement, the CS Operations Manager owns the machine: the reporting and dashboards leadership runs on, the Customer Success platform the team works in every day, the health-scoring model, the survey programs that tell us how we're doing, and the systems that keep our data trustworthy. It's a builder-operator role — you'll define requirements, build or configure the system, roll it out, and then own it in production.
This is a foundational, highly cross-functional role. You'll partner across Customer Success, RevOps, Finance, FDE, and SOC delivery, and report to the VP of Customer Success. You'll build a function that doesn't exist yet at Tenex — defining the reporting, tooling, and operational discipline the entire post-sales organization will run on as it scales. It's a rare opportunity to stand up the operating backbone of a Customer Success organization from first principles at a fast-growing, AI-native security company.
What You'll Do
Reporting, Analytics & Business Insight
Serve as the single reporting owner across the full post-sales organization — Customer Success, the Rapid Deployment Team, and Professional Services — rather than a CS-only function.
Define metric requirements with leadership, build the dashboards, roll them out, and operate them as the single source of truth for post-sales performance.
Stand up and maintain core portfolio views: GRR/NRR, portfolio growth, renewal trends, at-risk and escalation trends, health distribution, engagement and adoption, time-to-value, and delivery quality.
Provide reporting tailored to each post-sales team — deployment throughput for RDT, health and retention for CS, utilization and margin for PS — under one consistent framework, including customer-by-customer profitability.
Own metric definitions and taxonomy so numbers mean the same thing in every room, and produce and automate the recurring executive data pack.
Customer Success Platform & Data Systems
Own the Customer Success platform end to end — evaluate, define requirements, select, implement, and then administer it in production (e.g., Velaris, Gainsight, Planhat).
Operationalize our frameworks inside the tool: health scoring, the segmented engagement model, playbooks, lifecycle stages, and renewal triggers.
Own the CS-relevant Salesforce data model — objects, fields, and data quality — in partnership with RevOps, and serve as the CS interface into Salesforce change management.
Own cross-system data governance and integrity so every dashboard rests on one trusted set of numbers.
Health Scoring
Own the customer health-scoring model as a living system — its inputs, scoring logic, thresholds, and roll-up rules.
Instrument health scoring inside the platform so scores calculate and refresh automatically, and calibrate the model over time so it reliably predicts renewal, churn, and escalation.
Drive adoption so health scoring becomes a metric CSMs and delivery teams act on daily, feeding at-risk plans, renewal triggers, and executive reviews.
Voice of the Customer
Build and run the CSAT program across the customer lifecycle, plus a relationship-level NPS motion.
Instrument surveys, manage cadence, and own the closed-loop follow-up process so detractor signals become action, not just a score.
Report sentiment trends to leadership and tie them to health, renewal, and delivery data as leading indicators.
Customer Communications
Own and influence the infrastructure, templates, and standards behind customer communications — both urgent/incident comms (security escalations, service-impacting events, advisories) and standard operational comms (lifecycle touchpoints, cadence, scheduling, announcements).
Own the urgent-comms mechanics — notification triggers, distribution, routing, and time-to-notify standards — so customers hear from us proactively rather than discovering issues first.
Planning, Renewals & Operating Rhythm
Operationalize the segmented coverage model and keep the capacity and headcount model a living planning tool.
Run the operational machinery behind the renewal motion — cadence, at-risk and save-plan tracking, and renewal inputs to leadership and RevOps.
Orchestrate the operating calendar — QBR/EBR support, the staff-meeting data pack, and automated executive review inputs.
Build and own the automation layer that keeps operational leverage compounding as the organization scales.
What We're Looking For
Background
5+ years in Customer Success Operations, Revenue Operations, or CS strategy/analytics in a B2B SaaS or managed-services environment.
Demonstrated ownership of a CS platform (Gainsight, Velaris, Planhat, ChurnZero, or similar) from evaluation or implementation through steady-state administration.
A track record of building operational infrastructure in a scaling organization, not just running someone else's playbook.
Skills
Strong analytical and data fluency — defining metrics, building dashboards, and working across Salesforce data and BI tooling.
Strong Salesforce data and administration fluency — comfortable owning objects, fields, and data quality and building reporting on top of them.
Fluency in core CS metrics (GRR, NRR, health scoring, segmentation, renewal motions) and the judgment to know which ones actually drive decisions.
Disposition
A builder-operator who can go from a blank page to an operational system and then run it.
A bias toward measurable outcomes and board-level credibility over activity metrics.
Comfortable being the person who says "that number is wrong, and here's why."
Preferred
Exposure to cybersecurity, MDR, SOC operations, or another technical-delivery domain.
Experience standing up CSAT/NPS programs and closed-loop voice-of-customer processes.
Comfort with AI-native and automation tooling, and prior involvement in comp plan design or administration.
How Success Is Measured
A single, trusted post-sales data layer that leadership runs on; a Customer Success platform in production and adopted by the team as the default place they work; health scores that reliably predict outcomes; voice-of-customer trends that demonstrably feed save and renewal action; and steadily increasing operating leverage — faster reporting cycles and broader automation — as the portfolio grows.

About the Opportunity:
The Services Engagement Manager (SEM) is the single accountable owner of scoped, time-bound professional services engagements — from the moment they’re shaped in the sales cycle, through delivery, formal acceptance, and clean financial closure. The role protects two things at once: our customers’ outcomes and our delivery integrity. Where a Customer Success Manager owns the open-ended ARR relationship and is measured on retention and growth, the SEM owns a discrete, funded engagement and is measured on margin, on-scope and on-time delivery, and a clean exit. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role at the intersection of sales, delivery, and customer success, reporting to the VP of Customer Success.
What You’ll Do:
Shape and scope engagements with Sales. Translate customer requirements into a defensible Statement of Work — scope boundaries, assumptions, deliverables, acceptance criteria, effort estimates, and milestone/payment structure.
Guard scope integrity before signature. Validate that what Sales is proposing can be delivered at target margin, identify what’s out of scope, and propose a change order before an engagement is signed.
Own the engagement end to end. Drive the engagement plan, cadence, and milestone tracking from kickoff through delivery.
Orchestrate delivery resources. Sequence and prioritize Forward Deployed Engineers, detection engineering, subject-matter experts, and third-party partners against the plan.
Manage scope and margin in flight. Actively manage scope against the SOW, raise change orders for additions rather than absorbing silent creep, and run the engagement P&L — tracking burn against estimate and flagging overruns early.
Drive to acceptance and clean closure. Secure formal customer sign-off against defined acceptance criteria and execute clean financial closure, including final milestone completion, invoicing readiness, and revenue-recognition support.
Hand off and improve the catalog. Run a structured handoff to the Customer Success Manager for any steady-state relationship, and feed reusable scope and estimate patterns back into the services catalog.
What You Bring:
Professional-services delivery or consulting experience in cybersecurity or enterprise software, with a track record of personally authoring SOWs, estimating effort, and owning a margin or utilization number.
Strong scoping and effort-estimation skills, SOW authoring, and change-order discipline.
Project and delivery management strength, including engagement P&L and margin management.
Executive stakeholder management — credible in front of a CISO — plus enough SecOps / detection-engineering fluency to scope engagements and serve as a real check on what’s being sold.
Comfortable being measured on delivery and margin outcomes over relationship longevity, with a bias toward closure and the ability to hold the scope line firmly and diplomatically.
Bonus Points:
A delivery or project-management background paired with genuine technical depth.
Experience working with partners on jointly owned engagements.
Background in a high-growth startup or MDR / security-services environment.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Security+, or CISSP are a plus.
Why Join Us?
Opportunity to own high-stakes professional services engagements end to end — from scoping through formal acceptance and clean closure — as the single accountable owner of customer outcomes and delivery integrity.
Collaborate with a talented and innovative team focused on continuously improving security operations.
Competitive salary and benefits package.

Culture is one of the most important things at TENEX.AI—explore our culture deck at culture.tenex.ai to witness how we embody it, prioritizing the irreplaceable collaboration and community of in-person work.
As a SOC Engineer, you'll operate across incident response, platform quality, and operational improvement — evaluating telemetry coverage, shaping response automation, handling high-severity escalations, and ensuring the tooling and workflows analysts depend on are fit for purpose. The role carries direct engagement across internal engineering teams and customers, and no shortage of hard problems to solve. We default to automation and AI wherever they produce better outcomes — and we want engineers who think the same way.
What You'll Do
Handle complex incident response and escalation. Take ownership of high-severity and technically complex incidents — leading investigation, driving containment decisions, and communicating findings clearly when it counts.
Assess and improve telemetry and logging coverage. Automate evaluation of customer environments for logging gaps and deficiencies across endpoint, network, identity, and cloud. Specify what's needed for effective detection and investigation, and work with customers and internal teams to close the gaps.
Ensure SIEM and detection quality. Apply deep platform knowledge to evaluate detection fidelity, data normalization, parser quality, and alert logic — identifying where coverage or quality falls short and partnering with detection engineering to address it.
Contribute to response automation quality. Work closely with the SOAR team to review enrichment logic, containment playbooks, and automation design — bringing an incident responder's perspective to what works under pressure and what doesn't.
Support technical needs across the organization. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for forward-deployed engineers, onboarding teams, and customers on questions spanning telemetry, investigation, platform behavior, and response — representing the SOC's technical depth across functions.
Improve SOC tooling and operational workflows. Identify friction in how analysts triage, investigate, and respond. Partner on tooling improvements, process changes, and reference content that raise consistency and quality across the team.
What You Bring
5+ years in security operations, incident response, or detection engineering with demonstrated depth across multiple domains.
Strong fluency in logging and telemetry — able to evaluate an environment's coverage posture, identify deficiencies, and articulate what's needed for effective detection and investigation.
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Google Chronicle, Microsoft Sentinel, and/or Splunk a plus) — enough to understand data modeling, rule architecture, and parser quality, and recognize when a deployment falls short of what our MDR SOC requires.
Solid understanding of response automation — enrichment pipelines, SOAR playbook structure, containment logic — and the judgment to evaluate whether automation is working as intended.
Working knowledge of cloud security architecture in at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including native log sources and their value for investigation.
Scripting proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation support, and integration work.
Familiarity applying AI or LLM-based tooling to security workflows — investigation assistance, alert triage, log analysis, or automation — is a strong plus.
Clear, confident communicator across technical and non-technical audiences — customers, engineers, and analysts alike.
Bonus Points
Multi-cloud breadth across AWS, Azure, and GCP security tooling and telemetry.
Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevSecOps practices.
Familiarity authoring detection runbooks, investigation guides, or SOC operating procedures.
Splunk Enterprise Security depth — ES notable events, risk-based alerting, correlation search architecture.
Container and Kubernetes security monitoring exposure.
Experience building or evaluating AI-assisted security tooling, agentic workflows, or LLM-augmented investigation and response.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience.
Relevant certifications — CISSP, GCIH, GCFE, GCDA, GREM, AWS/GCP security, or SIEM platform certifications — are a plus.
