As a Maintenance Mechanic in one of our wafer fab clean rooms, you will:
- Execute scheduled maintenance work adhering to the approved best known method for all tasks completed
- Track and assemble of parts required to complete maintenance ahead of time
- Complete qualifications required to bring equipment fully out of maintenance state and into production
- Track critical data from performed maintenance to define improvement opportunities for optimal PM performance
- Have an on-the-job training plan that provides a clear path to required certifications and advancement
We are looking for individuals with a strong interest in and capability of performing mechanical and maintenance activities on complex tool sets, able to effectively collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, and ability to read and understand technical instructions and mechanical drawings.

In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.
Experience how the latest innovative technologies are developed, built and optimized as a product, test or validation engineer. Work with TI teams, customers and external partners around the world to design, build, qualify and support our industry-leading analog and embedded processing products. As a product, test and validation engineer, you play a vital role in assuring the quality and performance of TI's innovative IC products.
From test software and hardware development, product debugging and test optimization – you help ensure our products are consistently competitive and leading in the market. In each of these roles you'll dive deeper into manufacturing, quality, design verification or validation engineering.
In this role, you'll support the development and implementation of strategies that achieve profitability targets on assigned TI product lines through new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects related to your assigned product portfolio, resolve customer quality and application issues, and facilitates cross-functional teams for problem solving. You'll also take a leadership role to establish relationships with key contacts in TI wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving.

Using automated test equipment (tester, tester h/w and s/w interaction)

Validation Concepts knowledge
Using Bench Setups
Hardware design& software development
Device debug
As a Product, Test or Validation Engineer, you will also get exposure to each of these roles through formal learning, projects and on-the-job development experiences that will help you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth and success at TI.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Preferred qualifications
Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components
Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)
Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)
Experience with lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skills
Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

The responsibilities of a Manufacturing Process Engineer in this role include:
- Support PVD metal stack deposition manufacturing operations
- Develop and implement improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes that result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality
- Implement project or improvement plans for areas of responsibility including but not limited to: efficiency improvements, cost reduction or quality improvement programs, new product support and other process improvements
- Perform lot and equipment dispositions to support the continuous flow of production and to minimize cycle time in a high volume manufacturing 300mm wafer Fab running Analog Technologies
- Identify systematic problems in either process or equipment related sources and communicating findings to the engineering staff in a continuous manner
- Support the manufacturing ramp with execution of equipment/process startup, process experiments (SWRs)
- Participate in data analysis and problem resolution

Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installation. You will interface and communicate with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs
Monitor and analyze all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool related issues
Coordinate supplier service and repairs where needed
Prepare the technical report and summary findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements:
High School diploma/GED
18 years of age or older
One of the following:
‒2 years of semiconductor experience as Technician OR
‒8 years of non-semiconductor/military Technician experience
Ability to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
Preferred qualifications:
Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance
Good troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems
Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
