Roles and Responsibilities: Serve as a senior technical contributor within the Data Engineering team, providing hands-on development support, code review, troubleshooting, and mentorship to other engineers. Contribute to the design and implementation of Databricks-based data solutions, including Lakehouse patterns, Delta Lake tables, medallion data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, workflow orchestration, and reusable data engineering components. Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade data pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, and related cloud data platform services. Apply and help improve data engineering best practices, including coding standards, source control, CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, observability, data quality checks, and performance optimization. Partner with business, analytics, product, and technology teams to load, curate, and operationalize large-scale datasets that support reporting, analytics, machine learning, and platform capabilities. Support data platform initiatives via engineering expertise, solution delivery, reusable data assets, integration patterns, and practical implementation recommendations. Participate in technical discovery and solution design for data initiatives, translating business requirements into effective Databricks implementation plans. Share knowledge across the team by introducing relevant Databricks capabilities, engineering methods, and platform patterns that improve delivery speed, reliability, and scalability. Education, Experience and Licensure: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience 8+ years software development experience Experience developing production software using Python Experience working with REST API's SQL database design experience Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production data pipelines in Databricks is required Experience with PySpark, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, data modeling, workflow orchestration, and performance tuning within Databricks Experience with a Distributed Version Control System (e.g., git) Experience writing and maintaining test suites (including unit tests) A passion for thoroughness, execution and completion Ability to communicate in a clear, articulate, team-friendly manner to all levels of an organization to present findings and recommendations to team members and senior management Experience in summarizing analysis results using PowerPoint and explaining analysis results to senior management levels Experience in working with virtual groups across the organization Approachable, personable and team player comfortable working in an Agile environment Experience in managing multiple initiatives in parallel Preferred Skills: Databricks certification Experience with healthcare data Experience with machine learning pipelines TurningPoint Healthcare Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Position Summary: The Lead Implementation Solution Architect is a client-facing integration architecture role responsible for designing scalable, practical solution approaches for new client implementations and expansions. This role partners directly with client architects, TurningPoint implementation leaders, internal technology teams, and operational stakeholders to assess client capabilities, define the end-to-end integration approach, and ensure both organizations understand what must be built or changed to launch successfully. This role serves as the bridge between business implementation needs and technical execution, helping reduce ambiguity, manage integration risk, and strengthen the repeatability of TurningPoint’s implementation model. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design & Architecture Design scalable integration solutions that align with client needs and TurningPoint standards. Assess client systems, workflows, and technical capabilities. Define integration requirements, dependencies, and implementation approaches. Ensure architectural best practices and standards are followed. Implementation Support Serve as the primary architecture resource for implementation teams. Partner with clients and internal teams to resolve technical design challenges. Identify and mitigate integration risks and dependencies. Support solution decisions that balance business, operational, and technical requirements. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a trusted advisor to client architects and technical teams. Communicate complex technical concepts to business and operational stakeholders. Facilitate alignment across client, implementation, product, and technology teams. Continuous Improvement Develop reusable integration patterns, standards, and implementation guidance. Recommend improvements that enhance scalability, consistency, and implementation success. Identify opportunities to simplify the client experience by streamlining implementation technical processes, tools, and artifacts. This role is a vital partner with product and technology teams to improve existing solutions and define new capabilities or partnerships that make TurningPoint easier to work with from a technical perspective. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems integration, healthcare technology, implementation consulting, or a related field. Experience designing and delivering complex integrations in a client-facing environment. Experience with API, EDI, SFTP, and file-based integrations. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management tools such as Smartsheet Familiarity with Azure Databricks Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare payer or health plan experience. Experience with prior authorization, utilization management, claims, provider, or member data workflows. Experience working with client technical and architecture teams. This is a highly visible, client-facing role, partnering directly with external stakeholders to explain methodologies, validate outcomes, and guide data-driven decision-making.
