About The Role
The Payments Operations Analyst bridges the gap between product owners and partner requirements, turning operational complexity into clear, actionable insight. This role is the operational backbone of our payment integrations, responsible for ensuring that every gateway and merchant relationship moves from onboarding to production with speed, precision, and zero ambiguity. You will serve as the central coordinator between external payment gateways, merchants, and internal Product, and Commercial teams, managing the flow of production credentials, resolving blockers, and keeping every integration on track from initiation to go-live.
This role is built for someone who is highly organized, relentlessly follow-through oriented, and thrives in an environment where the details matter and delays have real business consequences. You will not only manage the day-to-day coordination of credentials and onboarding but will also own the processes, trackers, and reporting systems that give the business full visibility into integration health, while continuously improving workflows to make merchant onboarding faster, smoother, and more scalable over time.
Your Contribution Will Be
Coordinate closely with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure credential readiness aligns with integration timelines and launch schedules
Serve as the primary point of contact between payment gateways, merchants, and internal teams, owning the end-to-end process of collecting, validating, and securing production credentials to enable seamless go-live execution
Proactively identify and resolve onboarding blockers with relentless follow-up, while maintaining real-time trackers and documentation that provide clear visibility into credential status, milestones, and outstanding action items
Build and maintain strong working relationships with gateway and merchant counterparts to drive faster resolutions and long-term operational reliability
Continuously audit the end-to-end onboarding workflow to identify recurring bottlenecks, diagnose root causes, and implement structured process improvements that reduce credential turnaround time, streamline merchant go-live, and drive operational efficiency at scale
Own dashboards, KPIs, and reporting cadences that give product owners real-time visibility into business health and operational performance
Execution of core operational infrastructure projects, ensuring tools and workflows are robust, scalable, and aligned with company growth
Skills You Need
Minimum Qualifications
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging payment gateways, merchants, and internal stakeholders
2+ years of experience in payments operations, merchant onboarding, or a coordination-heavy role within fintech or financial services
Solid understanding of payment gateway ecosystems, production credentials, and the technical onboarding lifecycle
Proven ability to manage multiple onboarding workstreams simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and stakeholder alignment
Strong follow-up and accountability discipline with a track record of driving blockers to resolution without losing momentum
Highly organized with experience building and maintaining trackers, status reports, and operational documentation
Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and proactive communication is critical to keeping things moving
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with API-based payment integrations and the technical requirements involved in gateway onboarding and credential configuration
Exposure to merchant onboarding at scale across multiple markets or regions
Background in a fast-scaling fintech, payments company, or high-growth tech startup
Experience using project management or tracking tools such as Jira, Notion, or similar to manage onboarding pipelines
Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of how payment operations impact merchant experience and revenue outcomes

Background from a top-tier consulting firm or fast-scaling technology company
